Hi my name is jennifer I been taking antibiotics for the past 2 weeks, Omeprazole 20 mg, Metronidazole 500 mg and Clarithromycin 500 mg and also I been taking my birth control pills for the past 3 weeks (Jolivette).
I jus found out today I am pregnant. I'm concer with the health of the unborn baby. I am worry if the any possibility of births defects and any other problem related to the medications.
prescribed the triple therapy which consists of Lanzoprazole 30 mg, Amoxicillin 500 mg and clarithromycin 500 mg. The problem is that she told me to take only one pill of amoxicillin (500mg) every 12 hours but it was supposed to be two pills (1g) according to FDA and other resources. I am very concerned because I know that this bacteria becomes resistant to antibiotics. What should I do?, How long do I wait before I take another test to see if the bacteria is gone or not?
I took 1500mg of Clarithromycin ER, and 1875mg of Amoxicillin that night. The following morning took another 1gm of the Niacin ER & 1375mg of Amoxicillin.
I am on Tecfidera 240 mg dose. It just occurred to me I missed the morning dose. I have a call into the specialty pharmacy for direction. I didn't find much on the web except "take it as soon as you remember and if close to your next dose take it then but don't double up". This is the first time I missed since starting therapy last month. I feel terrible. Is this incredibly bad?
Do I still take the ribavirin pills since I missed the dose? After 4 weeks I was tested and no virus was showing so I am worried that this is going to be a set back. I am anemic as well. Just need to know what to do??? Hep clinic closed for weekend as is doc office and pharmacist had no clue. Anyone been through this?
I took one dose of clarithromycin in a PrevPac yesterday (first day) and I started having chest pains last evening, anxiety (suicidal thoughts), weakness, couldn't think, etc..I'm stopping immediately. Just continuing with the Amoxicillin.
But here is my question. I ended up with a respiratory infection and the Doc gave me Clarithromycin, I have to take 2X 500mg a day for ten days. I started the medication the day of the sexual encounter.
Will Clarithromycin help clear up any of the STD's that I might have caught during the act?
There is not too much info on Clarithromycin and STD's out there. I know one thing it is sure working on my respiratory infection big time.

Clarithromycin isn't the treatment of choice for any STD. However, it would effectively prevent most cases of gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). But not all.
Antibiotics, including clarithromycin, have no effect on viruses and therefore cannot prevent herpes, HPV, or HIV.
In the off chance you in fact had a urethral infection, clarithromycin in the dose you took would have cured it. That includes gonorrhea, chlamydia, or the (largely unknown) bacteria that cause nongonococcal urethritis (NGU).
There certainly has been no medical reason to avoid sex with your wife all this time. Had I been in your situation, knowing what I know, I would have continued unprotected sex with my wife. At this point you certainly have no worries about it.

I have just competed a course of clarithromycin, and continue to have nausea, salivation, and a gnawing feeling in my stomach. These symptoms are very similar to those I had while pregnant, ie morning sickness, but all day.
I finished the drug 3 days ago.
Will these symptoms ever stop?
It has been over 48 hours since I took that one dose of the Clarithromycin and now I am wondering if it was caused by that at all. Maybe its just the fact that my skin is dry due to the weather. I do have pretty significant anxiety at times and I don't know if maybe I am just more aware of being itchy or if my anxiety could somehow be causing it. So, here's my question: Is it likely that I would still be itching 48 hours after taking one pill?
I have found that biaxin is chemically different than azithromycin but biologically same at killing bacteria as azithromycin. On some post you say that azithromycin or clarithromycin(biaxin) would cure all the bacterial stds then in others you state that there could be some problems.

Directly to your questions:
1) Both azithromycin and penicillin are 100% effective in curing incubating syphilis.
So, had brief encounter with sex worker. I am a male and she a female, just for clarity and accuracy of response though I'm confident that this is irrelevant. In any case, I received oral sex lasting only a couple minutes then shortly after completed with handjob. Anyway, that night I had extreme regrets as this not something I regularly do, only once before. So in my anxious state, I thought it best to be proactive and see if I could prevent any full infection from developing.
I missed taking my zoloft by 15 hours. (I'm supposed to take my 50mg at 12 midnight and I didn't remember until 3pm the next day). I took the missed dose at that time (3pm)....I JUST NOW relized that I should have just waited until tonight at 12midnight to take it. So, since I took it at 3pm, what should I do? If I take it at the scheduled time tonight then that would be 2 doses in just 9 hours. How do I get back on schedule of taking it at 12 midnight?
I take 1.25mg of clonazepam daily- 0.25mg during the day and 1mg at night. Last night I fell asleep and woke up at 5am to find out that I've missed last night's dose. I immediately took 0.5mg- i didn't want to take the whole 1mg because that would bring today's total to 2.25mg, instead of 1.25mg. Do you think I'm going to have problems today?

Just saw this message. Tell him to continue normal dosage. He should NOT double dose any days to make up the missed days.
Chances are, nothing will happen. He would have needed to miss many more days than 2 in a row to have issues.
I have missed a dose here and there by accident and have been fine since. It's not the end of the world. Body responds just fine but tell him to try not to miss any more.
