2 weeks after radiotherapy my wisdom tooth has got an infection and crumbling. have had teeth problem for some time since i have had Cancer of left breast and lymph nodes. Have Hashimoto's which does not help. Now.. noticed a red line from my jaw going down my neck, i have some Clarithromycin 500mg in date, do you think it would be a good idea to take them. One or two to start with then twice a day. Its new years eve tomorrow and nothing is open and no advice.
Well my usage of Motrin as dropped down to 2 Motrin per day after taking the Clarithromycin for 3 days, on the 4th day there was no more need for Motrin.
Over a month ago I had a tooth extracted and the dentist assured me he got the whole tooth however about two weeks ago I ahd little bone chips coming through my gum. Then I staerted having pain in my loer jaw, throat and inner ear. The chips finally fell out this weekend but my ear is still very painful. I can not take antibiotics because it will negate my birth control. Will this clear up on its own now that the chips are gone?
Amoxicillin 500mg 2x/day)for 2wks now.I am also taking 600mg of Ibuprofen 2x/day for 2 wks.I developed a large abscess on the left side of the roof of my mouth. I had to go BACK to the dentist 2days ago. She put a hole in the abscess to drain it.She also prescribed 50mg of demerol 2x/day..I do not wish to continue to take the very strong pain meds (as I am a teacher with a 80min/day commute &was advised not to supervise children OR drive while on this medication).
d just finished a week course of clarithromycin for a chest infection. The doctor said that this drug could have cleared up a chlamydia infection if I'd had one.
i am having some terrible pains in my right hand side jaw area and up the same side of my face is this tooth ache reason i'm asking is there is no specific pain in my teeth thanks

Clarithromycin isn't the treatment of choice for any STD. However, it would effectively prevent most cases of gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). But not all.
Antibiotics, including clarithromycin, have no effect on viruses and therefore cannot prevent herpes, HPV, or HIV.
I have been getting jaw ache for a while, and I thought it might be due to tooth grinding as I tend to clench my jaw when I'm stressed. But recently it has got worse and worse and I went to the dentist on Christmas eve to be told I have a tooth infection in one of my top molars. I had root canal on a bottom molar not that long ago too and this tooth feels odd too.
I called my dentist to see if I can pay half and be billed for the rest and they said no. Well I guess I have to stay in pain for now because I am not paying $200 when I have insurance. Hell what am I paying for insurance for if I have to pay 200 for a fill-in. So my question to you all is what can I do to eleviate the pain. The dentist said DO NOT USE ANBESOL OR ANY TOPICAL ANESTHETIC ON MY TOOTH. He said I have a whole in my tooth and it will cause very bad infection if I do.
