As fas as I know, nexium (esomeprazole) only interferes with biaxin (clarithromycin). It heightens the amount of esomeprazole by inhibiting the degradation of esomeprazole. I took 1500mg of Clarithromycin ER, and 1875mg of Amoxicillin that night. The following morning took another 1gm of the Niacin ER & 1375mg of Amoxicillin.

But here is my question. I ended up with a respiratory infection and the Doc gave me Clarithromycin, I have to take 2X 500mg a day for ten days. I started the medication the day of the sexual encounter.
Will Clarithromycin help clear up any of the STD's that I might have caught during the act?
There is not too much info on Clarithromycin and STD's out there. I know one thing it is sure working on my respiratory infection big time.

If the test strips were kept sealed they "probably" are good. The sure way to test this is to take a blood sample with a strip that has not expired, and then shortly afterwards, use a strip from the "expired" container. If readings are comparable, it suggests the "expired" strips are good to use.
He had some left over clarithromycin 500 mg about 10 days worth and he began taking that. I told him he should just get tested but he dosent have insurance currently and is unemployed. He said even if I have an std clarithromycin should clear it up its a very strong anti-bacterial antibiotic. Is this true?
prescribed the triple therapy which consists of Lanzoprazole 30 mg, Amoxicillin 500 mg and clarithromycin 500 mg. The problem is that she told me to take only one pill of amoxicillin (500mg) every 12 hours but it was supposed to be two pills (1g) according to FDA and other resources. About a month ago I was prescribed a course of Clarithromycin for a skin infection. Since taking the drug I've suffered huge surges of adrenaline, which kicks in like a lighting shot at the point of sleep. It kept me away many nights and I was beside myself with worry. Hi, I was diagnosed with a sinus infection a few weeks ago and prescribed a z-pack, which I took with no issues. I am still feeling the symptoms in my sinuses so I went to the Dr last week and was prescribed Amoxicillin. About 20 mins after taking it I had this strange sensation on my lip...like a tingling/itching feeling and became itchy all over. I called the Dr and she prescribed Clarithromycin. I didn't want to take it right away, just in case I had a similar reaction.

I have no signs of any symptoms on my penis. Yesterday 3/20/09 I was prescribed clarithromycin er 500 for 7 days for a sinus infection. After reading a lot on the internet it appears that EVERY STD can be obtained through oral sex which I was not aware. If I were your patient, what advice would you recommend? She said it was not possible oral swab to be done at that clinic (just genital). She decided to start a treatment (clarithromycin and ceftriaxone) for gonorrhea (without testing and diagnosis). I hope it works if I have oral gonorrhea. Sorry to bother you. I am just worried.
I get my drugs from my home country because it is cheaper. Why problem is that I have a box of tenofovir that expired in april 2012. am afraid my next supply will reach me after two months. I want to know if i can still take the expired tenoforvir in June else i will have to stop and wait till i get the next supply. I don't want to discontinue my treament. t know that it was expired. it was expired on november 16th itself.i bought it on october and came to know only now that it has got only 1 month shelf life. when i washed my face that sunday when i used it(some particles fell on my eye), my left eye (it was usuallly dry)got redenned and it has got few nerves clearly appearing on it.i never expected this to happen because of usage of expired gram flour.
