Avatar f tn my mom has been experiencing this weird outbreak of hives all over her body, and when she has an outbreak it seems to cause severe joint pain, but not in the same joints it kinda travels around.she has been to an allergist but they put her on predisone and clarinex and zantec but as soon as the pred. is done the rash seems to rehash and the clarinex and othe meds seem not to help at all.
Avatar f tn Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
Avatar m tn I have also had a chest XRay, which my physician said was clear. An ENT doctor examined my nose and throat using a camera probe and indicated that my vocal cords were slightly infamed -- but that was about it. Even with all that, I can't seem to shake this condition loose. How can I rid myself of this condition once and for all? Should I request a CT Scan for further examination of this condition?
Avatar n tn Wearing that for 5 minutes should clear up the mucus quite a bit if it is something you are breathing in. Easy test and takes only 5 minutes. Try a deep breath with the mask on after 5 minutes and see if you still feel like coughing. You could also try taking Benadryl and seeing if you can take a deep breath after 25 minutes. But the mask also covers irritants. Both are easy tests. IF ALLERGY Claritin probably isn't going to affect the mucus.
Avatar m tn ve been having similar problems with my hearing. I went to the doctor and he gave me clarinex and flonnase. The medications did nothing. I have spoken with two other people that have had similar issues with their hearing. One person said his problems went away after one month. I've had problems for one month and it doesn't seem do be getting any better.
Avatar n tn I use use Clarinex which helps a little. Tried Claritin and it did not do anything. Most nasal sprays help, a non steroid nasal spray such as NasalCrom might help too and is gentle with virtually no side effects. I found that allergy shots was the only thing that stopped it for me. I don't use nasal sprays anymore. My rynitis was really bad and clogging my air ways. Now it seems to be almost gone. I get a bit sticky but never more than clearing my throat kind of annoyance.
Avatar m tn My cousin had some Clarinex that she gave me and I took one pill a day for 5 days and kept my skin as soft and moist as possible during that time, and am happy to report that the bumps have receeded and the itching has stopped. There is a little tightness of the skin remaining, but that is a small irritant compared to where I was on May 2nd. Thanks again........
1816154 tn?1463430018 Have Any of you ladies breastfed and got pregnant after 13 months of breastfeeding without a period? Or did you not get pregnant until you stopped breastfeeding and got a period?
Avatar m tn Recent studies have demonstrated the short- and long-term benefits of breastfeeding both for mothers and children. Breastfeeding, especially if exclusive and prolonged, leads to significant reduction in hospitalization rates for gastroenteritis, respiratory infections, and sepsis in the early months of life[18]. The benefits for low-resource countries are even greater because breastfeeding is related to better infant and childhood survival[19].
Avatar f tn It happened to me mine were 14 months apart I dodnt know I was pregnant cause I never got a period and was breastfeeding so watch out !
Avatar m tn m having to get my tissue out all the time, eyes itching, eyes watering and turning bloodshot and sneezing a lot. But the tablets have only calmed It down a bit, I have tried two types of tablets and the second ones seem to be better but not 100%. Also I'm not sure If this is cold/flu related but recently I have been having a blocked nose all the time and one nostril keeps running, but it's as if it's water. I was wondering If anyone knew why that was happening?
Avatar f tn s ok to take while breastfeeding, but what I read on the internet it says do not take while breastfeeding. I have a call out to the lactaction nurse but she has not called me back yet. Has anyone heard of the pill Soma and should I take this while breastfeeding? I would love to hear opions on this.
Avatar f tn I was given Tramadol and Buscopan but after reading the leaflets am weary of taking them as i am still breastfeeding my 14mth old baby (although only now once each evening). The doctors were aware i am nursing. i was given doses in hospital, the last dose was aprox 10am and am not due to feed baby till 6pm. should i feed her still tonight or give cows milk? Should i carry on with these or ask my gp to give me alternitives?
Avatar f tn I have never heard breastfeeding as being somewhat effective in preventing pregnancy...in fact I heard just the opposite that if you are breastfeeding you are more likely to become pregnant....maybe talk to your doctor about the morning after pill and see if it is safe while breastfeeding if you are really worried about it. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I'm 22 weeks gone on my first baby and really want to breastfeeding as there are so many benefits to breast milk but I'm finding recently in the past few days my boobs are getting more sore each day is there any creams or home remedies that anyone could recommend before baby is here so I won't be to sore when breastfeeding
Avatar n tn Hello there, since 1995 (I am 31 now) I have had the inner corner of my both eyes very itchy. It usually starts with a casual touch or rub and then you just can not seem to stand the itchiness. So then I have to use my first finger's tip to press against the small lump of flash in the inner merging corner of the eye. (Hope that's descriptive enough to understand). When I went to see the doctor around that time, I was told that I have an eye allergy and that "just" happens.
1136103 tn?1260667675 I take singulair, clarinex-d and lipo-flavonoid (for ringing in the ear) also the jelly or goo I am seeing happens almost everyday or every other day, every week is different.
Avatar f tn My baby will be3 months old next month and im breastfeeding. I had a very light period last month and asked my nurse practitioner about it, she said it was normal and tho expect it for about a year; however I haven't had my period this month. So I guess what im asking is if breastfeeding could affect my period since I have lost a lot of weight.
Avatar f tn So was just reading a story where a mother was arrested for breastfeeding and drinking a beer. What are your thoughts and opinions about this? I've never breast fed so I don't know how bad it is or isn't to drink while breastfeeding. What do you guys think?
Avatar f tn Can I breastfeed and smoke weed at the same time . idk if it affects the milk . I know fosho that alcohol does but does weed change it help me out.
Avatar f tn I did pump occassionally, but my mom never pumped and breastfed on demand and still got hers right away. She actually got pregnant 3 months after my sister, but unfortunately had a m/c. I guess it really does depend on the woman. Everyone is different. The norm is usually not to get it if your BF, so I guess some us are not normal..lol.
1816154 tn?1463430018 Breastfeeding can prevent your period from returning for a while and can actually be said to be a birth control in a sense.
Avatar f tn 10 weeks Pregnant with #2, my baby is turning 6 mo in 11 days . I have been exclusively breastfeeding my first born and had also heard about this myth and how it's more likely to work if your period still hasn't returned.
Avatar f tn I soley breastfeed both my girls for 1 year. and my 1 year old i am still breastfeeding. I give her a vitamin with vitamin D in it called Trivosol (sp). You can supplement with formula but it may confuse the baby going from breast to bottle. Why don't you just try breastfeeding in the beginnning and see how that goes. You can always pump and give her breast milk in a bottle if you feel more comfortable doing that.
