I have been on citalopram for several years, and have not had many side effects until now. The symptoms are bad enough to interrupt my sleep.

First week I took 10mg, then last Saturday started 15mg. I wondered if people have increased anxiety? I am having just bad restless legs, thoughts racing, but very spacy and forgetful, even though I'm super anxious. I have to take a xanax in the morning and at night to cope. The nausea SE went away, but wondered if this other is normal?

It sounds like you are having bad side effects from the citalopram. I would suggest that you contact your Dr. asap, and get off that med., from what you have written, it sounds like you dont need something to make you more hyper, you need just the opposite. I am taking Quetiapine, which slows me down, and stops my mind from racing, and actually didnt effect my appetite, however you will experience weight gain. I need help with restless legs, i don't want to be on drugs. Calcium, magnesium, smells, lotions have done nothing I am on half a milligram of clonozapam which is a small dose but its wearing off Odds are i will have tried anything mentioned but ive asked over 40 forums with no answers.

Yeah sometimes I do I am taking citalopram also the doc just boosted me to 40mg but anyway I believe it is one of the side effects you'll get used to it.
