citalopram experiences

Hi there...I take Wellbutrin XL (300 mg extended release bupropion) and no I didn't gain weight on it. I have been on differing doses for over 2 years. Also, no loss of sex drive if that is important to you which is a common side effect of most of the other medications used for anxiety.

Anyone else using Citalopram during TX? I took 20mg for three days.. I felt like I was on another planet?

I was just prescribed CITALOPRAM 10mg once a day for my anxiety. I am scared to take it due to the side effects and I think once I take it my partying days are over, but I really need it. This is my first time taking meds for anxiety. Is there anyone out there who has had success with this drug and what should I expect?

I have never, persoanlly, taken citalopram, but there are plenty of folks here who have and hopefully they will respond with their experiences with this med. Most of us with an anxiety/panic disorder are "wary" of side effects. But bear in mind that we are all different and your son may not experience any, or if he does, he may find that they are bearable.

Hi! I am new to this web-sites so forgive my mistakes. I was just wondering if anyone out there experiences involuntary jerking movements in different parts of your body. I wouldn't necessarily call them "tremors" more like just an occational jerk here and there several times a day. I started taking celexa about 5 months ago for mild depression and more recently phentermine for weight loss but these jerking movements were happening way before the phentermine.

Hi i to have been searching for long term use of citalopram, i have been on and off citalopram since october 2003 after having my 2nd child but have suffered with crippling anxiety since i can't remember, it has been a gods send and am almost anxiety free when i am on them, am on 10mg and just can not function without them, i am now happy to stay on them and my doctor said i might have to stay on them longterm if it means an anixety free life, have come off them 3 times now am fine comming o

My therapist believes I have a little GAD along with some male post partum....took 20 mg of celexa for 2 weeks then got upped to 30 mg which I've been taking for 3 weeks. I am much better than when I first started and have gone through the early side effects (dry mouth, fatigue, fogginess, etc). With that said, I have had some very good days followed by days filled with general anxiety.

Can I take L-Theanine with citalopram? I use to take L-Theanine and it use to help my anxiety a whole lot. My anxiety is really bad im on my second week of citalopram.

hi i suffer with really bad health anxiety,i was taking 10mg of citalopram when i was pregnant but i was increased to 20 a few months back as i didnt seem to be making progress,i was worse in some ways,since my increase i have noticed some improvements.

Hello, I am a 54 year old male with severe anxiety and am taking 40 mg of citalopram and lotrel for bp issues. I recently read that citalopram can cause long qt syndrome and since my anxiety issues are driven by my health, I am concerned. My resting heart rate is in the low 50's, I have no family history of long qt, but with my low heart rate I wonder if I should cease to use citalopram. My doctor does not feel this is a problem but I thought I should seek other opinions Thanks .

Hi guys - I 've been suffering from GAD for some time now and I've been taking citalopram for 2 weeks. I have dizzy spells during the day that come and go- I'm getting bit nervous cos of it- is this a normal side effect of the citalopram? Thanks !

but after huge waves of depression due to the lack of energy,fatiuge ect i was totaly exhasted so i started to take this new citalopram the doctor prescribed. I have been taking them for 4 weeks now and already am felling really good. Infact i cant belive the vast improvement. I have had no migranes,no brain fog, no dizziness am thinking on my feet my vocab has speeded back up and i can thin clearer than i have in the past 2 years.

If you been on the meds for a while then you are getting ill, chances are it's not the med. Have you been on other meds in this class before? Citalopram is a good drug and the side effects are pretty minimal for most. I would get a full check up to make sure you rule out bladder/kidneys infections. Anxiety can cause tummy troubles, I've had the trots from anxiety in the past, and I've had peed more from that as well.

hi, I've been on citalopram for 5 weeks now for my anxiety. I upped the dosage from 20mg to 40mg a week ago but have just been feeling mind numb since. is it possible for the meds to take longer to start working?
