Avatar n tn I took him back to the emergency vet, who prescribed ciprofloxacin for him (750 mg), 2 pills per day. The urination inside stopped immediately. However, he HATED the pills. He stopped eating entirely 3-4 days into the antiobitic. I became concerned but continued to give him the pills. After the 9th day (only 2 pills left), I called his regular vet and asked what he thought about me discontinuing the antiobitc. He said I should go ahead and quit.

1621608 tn?1339519872 Ciprofloxacin and Enrofloxacin (Baytril) at a dose of 5 to 10 mg per Kg. twice daily for Ciprofloxacin and once daily for Enrofloxacin (Baytril). Even Amoxicillin would help. I do not know the size of this dog. Please give me an estimate and I would be glad to give you the proper dose. Could you also please let me know what antibiotics are available to you if different than the ones I have listed? I will tell you what is suitable and what the dose should be.

Apparently you are taking ciprofloxacin but you do not say for how long or if it has changed your symptoms at all. You also note that you have had two sex partners in the past few weeks, one of whom you have had condom protected oral and vaginal sex with and another partner with whom you have more recently had unprotected vaginal sex with.

They have state of the art equipment when it comes to diagnostics and even though veterinary students work on the animals, they are just inches away from graduating and they work under the close supervision of their professors, who are veterinary professors and doctors themselves. As far as payment goes, look into Care Credit.

Pica, eating nonfood items, is a common complaint in dogs and occurs for a variety ofr reasons, and also at times for no discernable reason. Do your best to prevent it. That said it is not uncommon for kidne disease patients to be inappetant. Treating the causes when possible will be more effective than simply trying to stimulate appetite. See further detail below.
