Ciprofloxacin leaflet

Common Questions and Answers about Ciprofloxacin leaflet

cipro

Avatar n tn The multi-purpose antibiotic ciprofloxacin, used to combat germs behind food poisoning and bone and joint infections, is also affected. So is the cancer drug etoposide and a drug given to prevent the rejection of transplanted organs. Seems that you shouldn't drink these juices within 4 hours of taking the medicine.
Avatar f tn (My weight is about 145 kg, previously has been 188 kg, with a length of 170cm) It started in 2006, I did get nitrofurantoin, but I got only more ill, till I even got over 41 degree fever and an emergency-doctor then prescribed ciprofloxacin which did help (this was in Holland). Since 2008 we are in UK and I have been under treatment at St George, London, till 2010.
Avatar f tn I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
Avatar m tn Sir, I have been having palpatations, SOB, extreme fatique, and chest pain at times, had a stress test it was normal, had a ECHO done and it showed anterior leaflet prolapse, what does this mean and what is the treatment for this, i do have a appointment with a cardiologist in Aug.
Avatar f tn i m a patient of rheumatic fever and recently my Echo says my mitral leaflet is mild thickened but no regurgitation or prolapse though ECG report comes with some abnormalities. 1week ago it shows some drop beats but now its improving. My Cardiologist has started giving me Penicillin for atleast 5yrs. But i fell shortness of breath after taking meal at night and when i go outside. Doctor says its just happening for ur anxiety. i m getting confused day by day.. Is there anyone who can help me?
Avatar f tn CG and they found sinus tachycardia and i went for an Echo. They found my anterior mitral leaflet (7mm) ,Area planimetry (3.6cm). I found in internet that cabergoline is responsible for vulvular heart disease but my endocrynologist didn't give any permission to stop this medicine. I'm really very much worried about my condition and I'm not getting any proper solution. Please help me with some precious solutions. thank you.
Avatar n tn My doctor says it could be scar tissue or the leaflet could be prolapsed and has just pulled back. Can anyone tell me how this prolapse and pull back could occur and if one theorectically could, scientifically fix this without surgery. Thank You.
Avatar f tn AML is "anterior mitral valve leaftlet". That leaflet (front side) of the mitral valve appears to have some thickening. The mitral valve is a one way passing of blood received from the lungs into the lower chamber to be pumped into circulation. Mitral valve regurgitation indicates some backflow of blood back into the upper chamber. MVP is mitral valve prolapse meaning the valve leaflet doesn't properly close.and 12mm is the calculation of the degree of prolapse.
Avatar n tn http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/cipro_ad.htm) It is difficult to say if they are due to the underlying disease or due to ciprofloxacin. You should consult your doctor for a complete evaluation and diagnosis.
Avatar f tn What antibiotic is better to take for a tooth infection/ absess tooth Ciprofloxacin or Bactrim?
1393959 tn?1280191024 No, MVP will not go away as it is a structual defect that causes the leaflet(s) to abnormally bellow back into the upper chamber with the backward flow of the regurgitated blood. The underlying cause can be elongated or ruptured chord(s) attached to the leaflet and heart wall (papilary muscle). And there can be leaflet as well as the valve opening defect. I haven't heard that age can causes changes i.e. stiffening that ameliorates the symptoms of MVP.
Avatar n tn Mild mitral valve regurgitation (some blood backflow rather than pumped into circulation) almost never progresses nor cause symptoms and your medical problem is not uncommon. Sometimes a leaflet fuses to the other leaflet and instead of having 3 leaflets there are two. but it appears the fused leaflets do not cause a leak of any medical significance.
1328714 tn?1294578263 I think to be honest check your tegretol leaflet and see if any of the symptoms are listed on it.If memory loss is on it I would recommend trying Keppra (Levetiracetam), it is quite new and has virtually no major side effects. I have been on it since just before christmas, and I feel better and my memory is improved. The frontal lobe is actually the memory part of your brain, so unfortunately it is inevitable your memory is a tadge unreliable.
Avatar f tn My echo also stated that I have a boarder line intermittent prolapse of the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve does any one know what that means? I also had a ejection fraction of 73% which I read from this site that that was normal. If any one has any comments I would appreciate it. Thank-You.
Avatar n tn What is the different of ciprofloxacin 500mg and phenazopyridine 200mg want are they use for
Avatar m tn The antibiotic instructions leaflet does give advice and warnings as to regard to what to avoid, whether it be some types of food, other medications, mineral supplements and also whether to avoid sunshine as this can cause adverse skin reactions. I have never heard of natural yogurt not being good for anyone (expect those who have an intolerance to lactose and whey). I have been on Cipro and had no problems whatsoever when eating natural live yogurt.
Avatar f tn I did read the warnings behind the box but didnt read the leaflet if i would be aloud during breast feeding and after taking the medicine i just relise this paracetamol has aspirin and after reading the leaflet , says do not take this medicine if bread feeding :( What do i do now? Is it gna harm my baby or what?
Avatar m tn The valve has leaflets that should tightly close the mitral valve and prevent regurgitation (backflow of blood). There is leaflet prolapse that indicates it is the leaflet(s) that are causing the regurgitation.
599378 tn?1240665606 does it mention these side effects on the leaflet? cause im not jokin if im nervous i can read the side effect leaflet and end up with everyone going!!!
Avatar n tn I had my 2decho a week ago. Conclusion: Mild mitral valve prolapse, anterior leaflet with trivial regurgitation and dilated atrium.
Avatar n tn The ejection fraction by biplane method is 57%. It also says the aortic valve is a trileaflet structure with preserved leaflet excursion and closure. I am a 44 year old female that is overweight, diabetic, thyroid disease & acid reflux. I take many medicines everyday and feel like the medicines are causing trouble. What are your thoughts?
Avatar f tn Mitral valve is the valve that opens and passes blood one-way from the left atrium to the left ventricle. If the leaflet(s) that close the valve are not functioning properly (close) there will be blood back flowing into the atrium. The direction and eccentricity (away from center) of the mitral regurgitant jet on echocardiography helps to locate the leaflet involved, but not necessarily the coexisting papillary muscle pathology. Mitral valves are attached to the papillary muscle with chords.
Avatar f tn AMVL is a congenital defect of mitral valve leaflet. The mitral valve apparatus (increased mitral leaflet area, length, and laxity, as well as anterior displacement of the papillary muscles as a syndrome) and can be the underlying cause for HOCM (hypertrophy obstruction cardiomyopathy) by left vetricular output tract (LVOT) obstruction.
Avatar m tn I had a swollen right testicle which was treated by ciprofloxacin 500g twice daily. The swelling went and the pain in the testicle reduced but then my left one started to hurt, is that conman for the infection to swap sides. I also have pain in my lower back and lower abdomen and very painful headaches. The doctor didn't seem to bothered about it or even check it over. They have prescribed me another 10 day course of ciprofloxacin.
1256970 tn?1269451137 I don't believe a mitral valve prolapse can be healed without intervention. It almost always is congenital and a structual anomoly. The leaflets of the valve do not properly close the valve opening and during the heart's pumping phase, the pressure within the pumping chamber "bellows" the leaflet into the atruim (upper chamber), and blood backflows. The cords that attach to the leaflet can be elongated. Almost always the leakage is mild and no progression.
Avatar m tn The chordal is a hingelike cord that attaches to the leaflet (3 leaflets are 3 flaps that should close over the valve opening) and the heart muscle wall. When the cord is elongated the cord is a little to long and cord doesn't pull the leaflet enough to prevent blood flow back into the upper chamber when the lower chamber pumps blood into circulation. Mitral prolapse indicates the elongation and mild mitral regurgitation indicates there is some blood that backflows.
