What antibiotic is better to take for a tooth infection/ absess tooth Ciprofloxacin or Bactrim?

I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?

i have lupus, multiple ureters on one side and history of reoccurring pyelonephritis. i have been have uti symtoms for a few weeks took entire prescription of macrobid and started feeling slightly better but only for a couple days. i have a lot of flank and abdominal pain. i have been taking cranberry capsules and drinking water. i took 2 home uti test and both showed positive for leukocytes.

S which should have been done the night I was in the ER, diagnosed me for a UTI even though all of the s/sx I had pointed to pyelonephritis, not a stinkin uncomplicated UTI, and are now giving me medicine used for pyelonephritis, which they have not diagnosed me with. The dkctor that prescribed the Keflex isn't my normal doctor and didn't talk to me AT ALL about the risks it could have on my baby. I am 6 and a half months.

Please help... For the past 24hrs I've had a fever w chills and for the last 12 it feels like both kidneys r being kicked. I think I let a uti go for too long and it traveled to my kidneys. What r uti's caused by also. I haven't had any burning, but urgency to go for a few days now.

In the last 6 months of my pregnancy I had hyronephrosis and pyelonephritis. I then discovered a small lump at the opening of my urethra. I had this with my first pregnancy and it went away after delivery. This 1 has not and I am still getting urine infections. My urologist says the lump is a polyp and is taking me in to remove it. Will this stop the urine infections? What % of polyps are cancerous? I am really worried about this and need to know some facts.

Because of bilateral symmetrical involvement of kidneys, and prompt treatment of Acute Pyelonephritis that has not led to good recovery in kidney health, my general physician thinks there could be something else causing this, or some other advanced treatment that could be more effective.

After bloodwork to check kidney function, Vet started her on antibiotic to treat her for suspected Chronic Pyelonephritis, to continue for 6 weeks. She had a fever over 106 on day of exam. She is responding well to antibiotic, hind end weakness improved somewhat. However, she is eating far less, and continues to lose weight (< 7.5 lbs.). The best way to have your kidney function and your back pain is to consult your Primary Care Physician (PCP). There are several causes for back pain and you really should consult a doctor to get to the bottom of this. Best of luck to you and please keep us update on how you're doing.

My husband was admitted to the hospital for a iv antibiotics for a uti. his wbc is 26000. Does that sound like it is affecting only lower urinary tract or it has gotten to the upper urinary tract? He is urinating and passed blood clots.

I have had chronic uti's since I was 2yrs. old. From the time I was 2-21 I was on daily antibiotic's for prevention and when I would get an infection have to double up on, or switch to a new one til infection was done. When I was 21 I had enough of the antibiotics, since my overall health was suffering( chronic colds, flus etc.) I was basically free of infections til I turned 36 and had to have hysterectomy for medical reasons.

In parallel, we did the semen analysis also at a Urology center. They have prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 14 days-2 dosage each day. At the moment I stopped taking thyroxine and taking only Cipro. Our worry is whether the hypothyrodism is causing issue in low fertility and motility or the infection in semen (for suggesting to take Ciprofloxacin) the main problem now? Is hypothyrodism resolved with the intake of Ciprofloxacin or are both different issues? Please clarify.
