I was prescribed ciprofloxacin for a bladder infection. I have read a ton online about horrible side effects. I figure most people would post these types of stories rather than success stories. What is the truth? How safe should I feel taking this drug? I voiced my concern to my family doctor and he seems to back the drug. I took one pill and feel some slight side effects so far, but nothing extremely serious.
I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
Rule of thumb is to always take your synthroid apart from any other meds or vitamins by at least a couple of hours. With the exception of Iron and calcium which need to be taken 4 hours apart.
After 10 days of an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) I felt better but the bleeding started again. Am now back on 10 more days of same antibiotic but this time am having lower pelvic pain amd discomfort. Could this be something other than a UTI? Urine culture showed a bacterial infection. Is it common for this to take 1 or 2 courses of antibiotics to clear up?
i went to dr he performed urineanalysis it reveals no infection but 10-12 RBC/HPF he also performed urine culture result will come on saturday he gave me ciprofloxacin and told me to start taking it if burning came yesterday whole day no burning but since night it came back.i am very anxious person

You should not take milk, yoghurt, antacids for indigestion or heartburn, or medicines containing calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium or aluminium at the same time as ciprofloxacin. (See end of factsheet for more information.)
You should make sure you drink plenty of fluid while taking this medicine.
Avoid exposing your skin to excessive sunlight, sunlamps or sunbeds while taking ciprofloxacin, as it may increase the sensitivity of your skin to UV light.

What antibiotic is better to take for a tooth infection/ absess tooth Ciprofloxacin or Bactrim?
I take birth control, B complex supliments, 1200mg calcium, abd 1000IU D daily. In the past year I have been on two courses of CIPROFLOXACIN 500 MG ORAL TAB for UTI's and one course of Amoxicillin for Strep.
For about 6 months (since June 2010) I have been suffering from hypersomnia. I sleep around 10 hours a night, and wake up exhausted. I fall asleep any time I sit or lay still. I have fallen asleep in class, on the train, at work....all places that I don't want to sleep.

I had a swollen right testicle which was treated by ciprofloxacin 500g twice daily. The swelling went and the pain in the testicle reduced but then my left one started to hurt, is that conman for the infection to swap sides. I also have pain in my lower back and lower abdomen and very painful headaches. The doctor didn't seem to bothered about it or even check it over. They have prescribed me another 10 day course of ciprofloxacin.
In parallel, we did the semen analysis also at a Urology center. They have prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 14 days-2 dosage each day. At the moment I stopped taking thyroxine and taking only Cipro.
Our worry is whether the hypothyrodism is causing issue in low fertility and motility or the infection in semen (for suggesting to take Ciprofloxacin) the main problem now?
Is hypothyrodism resolved with the intake of Ciprofloxacin or are both different issues? Please clarify.
I've been taking Ciprofloxacin for about a week. On tuesday I went to the gym for the first time in a while, and for the past few days my shoulder muscles have been sore. I saw on the instructions with my medicine that there's a risk of tendonitis while taking Ciprofloxacin, is this something I should be worried about? I wouldn't have exercised that much if I had known. The soreness has been getting steadily better.
By taking (ciprofloxacin or antibiotics) is there a possibility that can affect the sign & symptoms or ARS of hiv after 2 – 4 weeks exposure??
ve been self medicating Ciprofloxacin AL 250mg as i thought it could be sithylis and hopeful this would clear it up.
So I have been ttc, used clear blue ovulation tests got my smiley faces had sex on them days and other days then found out I had a bacterial infection and have been taking ciprofloxacin for the infection will this affect my chances??
