I saw a description on a web page using the description of looking like a partially scrambled egg and that is what it really looked like, not really streaked but kind of mixed. Now I have been on 500 mg Cipro for 4 of 7 days prescribed but still am coughing up same type of blood mixture.
I have had a cold for over a week now. I took one cipro 500 pill and then decided I needed to see my doctor. I took that at 5PM. My doctor prescribed prednisone and azithromycin. I have checked and seen that there are interactions in taking these drugs together. How long until the cipro 500 is out of my system so I can begin the other antibiotics and prednizone? Thank you.
I have had bronchitis 3 times, pneumonia once, and a sinus infection once...in the past 3 months. I feel confused alot. My blood test show highly elevated white blood cells. First it was my lymphocytes, then it was my neutraphils, then it was my lymphocytes. Then my WBC dropped to a normal level, but my neutrophils were really low. The doc says she thinks its an autoimmune disease, a blood production disease or cancer.

How come I can eat 10 percosets a day and not get sick but I am trying to take cipro for a bladder infection and I puke it right back up? I just cant keep them down.
Hi I also have klebsiella pneumonia 4 plus. 2 weeks of cipro, came back a week later. Again 2 weeks of cipro came back again. How long should I stay on the antibiotic? I don't notice any relief until the 10th or11th day of the antibiotic. What do you think? Distention in stomach, burping, constipation gets horrible.

My wife got sick 4 months ago with what she thought was pneumonia lots of coughing they finally gave her a zpac and she is fine.
I got this cough and shortness of breath I went to the doctor with her and he told me that i have pneumonia and should be home in bed.

ABOUT THE SAME TIME MY ARRYTHMIAS( PVCS AND PACS) BECAME MORE PROMINENT AND AT TIMES MY HEART RATE WAS AS LOW AS 33.
( WITH LIGHTHEADEDNESS AND EXHAUSTION, MUCH LOUDER HEART SOUND EFFECTS ETC.
During intercourse, the condom broke for a very short period of time. About 3 weeks later, I had almost pneumonia like symptoms, and felt like I was having a bad bladder infection. At no time have I had discharge, just prostate irritation, and an occasional tickle in my urethra (and occasional inflamation of the meatus)
I was treated with cipro after initial breakout, and the throat and bladder were not much better. I have had std tests for chlam,gonn, syph, HSV1/2, and hep - all negative.
These drugs are awful. i had been given Cipro. I did find that taking 3 mg of boron a day (purchased at a health food store) inactivates the fluoride and got rid of the joint pain and burning in about a week. However to this day 4 years later the tightness in my leg remains. I worked with a trainer and my muscles are fine now. These drugs should be avoided at all cost!
3 weeks ago she had what we thought was a sinus infection, low grade fever/headaches/drainage/fatigue, I called her dr who gave her cipro 250 twice a day, it did nothing, she went to dr on Aug 29, he said sinus infection maybe "a touch of pneumonia" gave her levaquin, she misplaced the script and wound up refilling her dental script (had for infected tooth got tooth pulled didn't need script) for amoxillin 500 4 times a day, she took it, did nothing, Labor Day weekend Sat we were
I followed up with a urologist. He put me on Cipro for 14 days, 500 mg PO BID. By day 11, the problem finally seemed totally resolved. 5 days after stopping the Cipro, I can feel it beginning to come back.
I have just started isotretinoin treatment for acne. Looking for suggestions that wouldn't require d/c'ing the isotretinoin.
Any thoughts?
s in the same class of antibiotics as Cipro)? I was on it for 5 days of my 10 when I started getting some wrist pain and they took me off it. I didn't even know it causes tendon damage.
Just wondering if anyone else had those side effects???
I think my mom was on it (IV) but didn't have any side effects. All I can say is if they want to put you on it, ask for something else unless there is no choice! Thanks!
I HAD A PNEUMONIA A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, AFTER A TRIP TO MEXICO ( SWINE FLU?) AND HAVE HAD A ROUGH TIME GETTING ANY ENERGY BACK AT ALL. ONE OF THE ANTIBIOTICS THEY GAVE ME WAS CIPRO, WHICH I HAVE READ CAN INTERFERE WITH SYNTHROID ABSORPTION, MAYBE ALSO ARMOUR?
THE REALLY SLOW HEART RATE WAS FIRST NOTICED DURING A FOLLOW UP FOR THE PNEUMONIA, ALTHO IT HAS NEVER BEEN FAST, AND DIDN'T SEEM TO INCREASE WHEN I EXERCISED.
Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.
Also, I am being treated with Cipro, which I just took a round of that for a UT about 2.5 months ago. Should I be repeating the same antibotic so soon, and will it be as effective if I do.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). So yes---In fact--since you brought it up--I have a new group called side effects of medications. Feel free to post your side effects there.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
