The only thin gwas my lip will get irritated sting, then chap up and dry out on the lower lip but no sores/blisters gone in like 2 days . Now i have had feelings of a UTI, but taking Cipro in Three day doses and it was gone. I dont know what to think. Because i know the Acid in the urine, if it runs on a sore will cause it to burn, but if a typical out break last up to a week or two and the cipro clears the uti or feeling in three days is there any linkage??? or just a typical uti?

In my country, Sweden, the recently updated guidelines for geno 3 are that treatment can be shortened to 16 weeks for geno 3s if they are on weight based dosing. However, it is stated in the guidelines that this means 10% lower SVR rate.

In general, the guidelines are double for illness over 100, and 100mg IV (or IM) bolus for surgery, crisis etc.
You should for exercise add salt (AI is a salt wasting disease - the degree that you waste can depend but sweating will make you lose fluids). So keeping hydrated is very important for you - more important than most.
My doc told me it was fine to take Tylenol sinus, stay within dosing guidelines. Also a humidifier and if you don't want to use Vicks on your body (i did no issue) put it in a wax warmer next to you. Feel better!
i went to my doctor who took a urine sample and a swab and then put me on two 250mg doses of cipro per day. the symptoms subsided in 12 hours and were almost entirely gone in 24 hrs.
3 days later he called me and said that there was some scant evidence of gonorrhea from the culture. he told me to take a double dose of the cipro that night (500mg) and prescribed a 500mg dose of azithromycin to take with it. the symptoms seem to have disappeared.
Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.

I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). So yes---In fact--since you brought it up--I have a new group called side effects of medications. Feel free to post your side effects there.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
Cipro isn't the first choice for treatment anymore, especially among men who have sex with men. There are resistant strains, and that's why treatment should be with a shot of ceftriaxone. It could be you have a resistant strain.
