cipralex and zopiclone

m on day 4 taking cipralex after switching from escitalopram my question to you all is my anxiety is getting worse by the day and having to take a zopiclone to sleep at night will my anxiety slowly fade in time as I take the cipralex daily no other side effects to report just the heightened anxiety any info on this would be great Thanks Jessica

I'm just about to start trazedone - I feel so sleepy during the day (currently on zopiclone, cipralex) Cipralex doesn't seem to address my anxiety as well as Paxil. Any feedback helpful.

hi and welcome, i am not that familiar with zopiclone, but i do believe it can be addictive, and that it shouldnt be used with methadone, at least not without expert medical advice, someone with more experience will most likely be able to advise you, are you on a methadone program?

I do suffer from stress even though I am not working at the moment, and I do over think, and I am a worrier, but, Zopiclone has always been something which makes me sleep and shuts my mind off. I've done this the past few days in various doses. I am prescribed Zopiclone to sleep, although the other night I required 3 x 7.5mg before I slept, which was on top of 2 (100mg) of the Sedating anti depressant Trazodone as well as having taken two Tramadol to help bring on some drowsyness and wind down that night.

I'm currently taking zopiclone for sleep been taking them for ten days. Can I just stop taking these? I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety I'm also currently taking propranolol and fluoxetine.

I was on Cipralex for a year since losing dad and losing my job. had bad anxiety and insomnia.

I take both those meds and avoid all cold medicines and over the counter medications because they can interact with the cipralex and serequel. I always call my pharmacist and ask which medications could counteract with my anti depressants.

anxiety is a common denominator for all psych disorders. it's not specific to BP alone. Taking cipralex will do you good for a while but then it will drive you manic eventually. you said cipralex, is it the only drug you take or along with other meds ? because if you take mood stabilizers along with then perhaps it's safe. but i never heard someone with BP is prescribed an antidepressant only. cipralex is rather strong it's an SSRI.

I have depression and post traumatic Stress disorder and am currently on Mirtrazipine, Venoflaxine, Quitiepine and Zopiclone I have been treated for this since my mid twenties, last year I had three small focal seizures which no pathology found. I am now about to start on Sodium Valproate increasing dosage initially to 250mg in morning and 500mg at night this is being prescribed primarily as a mood stabiliser but is thought to help stop the seizures.

For that i once again consulted with the other neurophysician in bangalore. He advised me for doing the MRI Scan. The result of the MRI saying "Mild ectopia of cerebellar tonsils. The tips of the tonsil is 5mm below the formen magnum. No mass effect is seen on the Brain stem.

my GP put me on zopiclone almost two weeks ago after involuntary methadone withdrawal (75mg to zero in 8 weeks). It does get me to sleep but am now concerned with the possible addictiveness of it. Am struggling horribly with withdrawal for the 1st time in 46yrs & been on methadone 18 years & used opiates the previous 7 years. Opiates addicts since 17. if anyone can help me I'd be so grateful.

My went to visit my doctor about my anxiety and sleeping issues and he has put me on Cipralex 10mg dosage a day and also prescribed me 50mg of trazodone to be taken at bedtime to help me sleep. Does anyone take these prescriptions? if so could I please get some feedback on them?

So do you think panic and fear can be an extra side effect of cipralex and i should increase the above doze of xanax.

After 3 weeks of use mild to moderate rebound withdrawal symptoms appear upon discontinuation of zopiclone. Due to the risk of tolerance and physical dependence, zopiclone is only recommended for short term (1–4 weeks max) relief of insomnia, or alternatively, long term infrequent use.Long-term zopiclone users who have become physically dependent should not discontinue their medication abruptly as severe withdrawal symptoms may occur such as delirium.

I have had head aches on cipralex, and when I drink some or even more then some drinks I get almost sick with a head ache. 1) are head aches common in taking anxiety drugs, 2) any way preventing the head aches. 3) dry mouth is that common with these drugs.

Hi I have been taking zopiclone for 6 years to relieve sleep problems at first and then started to take them in the day to calm me..I am now up to about 10 7.% mg a day off the internet...I want this to stop now, I am also alcoholic but no longer drink, Im scared if I stop the zopiclone too quickly I will have seizures as I did with alcohol withdrawl....

My question I have co-zopiclone 5mg , its put me down one and half hour then I am up and down like a yayoo . My doctor office was closed today and will see him on monday ..

I would give it some time. and don't keep checking your heart rate. Cipralex and this class of drugs are long acting and not something that would just drop your heart rate. But as your stress and anxiety decrease, your heart rate in the resting mode may go back to normal. A resting heart rate of 50 is in the normal range. You are on a low dose. Hope it helps your anxiety/panic. I have found that often anxiety takes a bit higher dose to really work well.

t like what it has robbed from me,and turned me into, I just was feed up and want (my) a life back. The zopiclone has probably been 3 years everyday so I hope that still makes it okay to just stop?

No problem. Are you going to try and discontinue the zopiclone? I'm sure your doctor can replace it with something just as effective. Take it slow and easy if you do lower you dose. Good luck and let us know how you do.

It appears to be similar in efficacy and like Ambien is meant for short term use only. Unless you've tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.

I am glad you are doing so well and no, you should not get withdrawals from zopiclone. Your liver should be checked with appropriate tests and followed for a while to see how it is doing. Otherwise, good job!
