ciprodex

1267205 tn?1321117128 They put me on Zoloft for anxiety but that could send you into mania since you experience mania and I don't. There's also benzodiazepines but they are usually used as a last resort. Antipsychotics can be used for anxiety but I wouldn't recommend that because of running the risk for tardive dyskinesia. I would much rather have my severe anxiety than TD.
574118 tn?1305135284 My cocktail is: risperidone 1mg seroquel 50mg stelazin 2mg xanax 0.375mg as you might have known i added to the above lexapro/cipralex 5mg as i was starting to be depressed again. I am OK now the depression went away supposidely yet I am SLEEPY all day long. The 1st time i started cipralex it was a month ago but nothing of the sort happened, it helped me tremendously but i had to cut it after 2 weeks as i had anxiety and slept one day a little.
574118 tn?1305135284 So do you think panic and fear can be an extra side effect of cipralex and i should increase the above doze of xanax.
574118 tn?1305135284 As I stated it worked fine for me on both mania and depression. I was stable at 325 mg. for close to ten years. It did at the end worsen mania but that's an extremely high dose. But in the meantime it was working well the whole time on both manic and depression. As for mood stabilizers it is typical to change after a decade for some people at least. It does happen every now and then.
950277 tn?1247274551 I was on celexa 2 years ago. I have a really bad record with any type of antidepressant, and like all the rest I ended up in the hospital as a result of it. Everyone is different, but that was my reaction to it.
Avatar f tn Speak to your psychiatrist now and see what advice they give you as regards medication changes if needed. Hypomania can sometimes be a warning sign of full blown mania so be careful and inform your psychiatrist.
1926604 tn?1322961405 s own can make you very manic. Mania can cause things like anxiety, lack of sleep, not being hungry and losing weight. If lexapro has been helpful in the past when you were depressed, you can keep taking it, just take it with something that prevents mania.
Avatar f tn I am BP1, but have hit clinical depression. I think they put me on a AD because of this and I'm pregnant and they don't want to put me on too high of a dose of Lamictal. Lamictal, I've been on it on and off for a couple yrs. It never really helped much with depression for me. So maybe all I needed all along was a AD. I've taken as high of a dose as 400mg of lamictal when not pregnant. It helps with the mania for short periods of time, but then I always have to up my dose.
Avatar m tn my pdoc put me on respidol..that stuff made me maninc and sevre mania i was very out of it..whats a good anti depressant..not a ssri....
Avatar f tn I took it and it worked well for me. There was a large study that did indicate that antidepressants can trigger mania in bipolars so it's up to each person and how they react. Check with your dr.
574118 tn?1305135284 I was given lexapro/cipralex/escitalopram 5mg because I was feeling down that was a month ago. After 2 weeks I started to be anxious. Fearing of catching mania, I stopped. But after a week I started to plunge down so I returned to the same dose of 5mg. Now I am ok again Had I been on celexa/cipram/citalopram would this have been better?. Because the latter is supposedly weaker than lexapro. In fact 10 mg of celexa is equivalent to 5mg of lexapro.
Avatar m tn Hi Most AD's lower anxiety. Funny sun says citalopram/celexa/cipram NO. Yet its cousin cipralex/lexapro/escitalopram did wonders for me as far as depression and anxiety are concerned. But of course all the benefits soon disappear and the usual mania comes.
539694 tn?1434565947 I don't advise you up your dose, perhaps you don't get manic now but you can catch it suddenly like i did. You don't mention your other drugs if you take a strong MS then i assume it's safe, but citalopram/cipram/celexa alone is not advisable. I remember the dose is 20-60 because it's double cipralex/escitalopram/lexapro 10-30 so 40 of citalopram means 20 cipralex which is not huge For BP they say wellbutrin is safer for mania more or less.
574118 tn?1305135284 Generally a full mood stabilizer should work on both mania and depression and an anti-depresent hopefully should not be needed. I am aware some people with bipolar need an adjunct anti-depressent and some people are able to tolerate it and some do encounter mania. I remember when I was on a combination of mood stabilizers to compensate for one not working as well on depression as it should and that generally worked (for me at least).
Avatar m tn Then 3 years later I tried celexa, and after 3 days I felt good, then after about 5 I felt too good. I was advised to stop, and remained hypomanic for maybe 5 weeks. Better habits this time! Aside from that I've never had a hypomanic experience. My doctor said he is worried about me going there again, so when I went back for a different drug for depression, he prescribed Seroquel, but the more research I do the less inclined I am. I'm debating asking him to prescribe Wellbutrin.
574118 tn?1305135284 4 weeks ago i started to go down a bit so i took lexapro/cipralex 5mg and i became happy for 10 days then i started to be anxious and moved around so i feared of becomic manic Upon asking the pdocs whether this was ADHD (usually comorbid with BP they said no, this is a usual side effect of BP) so i cut the cipralex and got back to the above combo. It was OK . Yesterday and today I have agressive behavior with depression.
Avatar f tn I was on Cipralex for a year since losing dad and losing my job. had bad anxiety and insomnia.
Avatar n tn I take both those meds and avoid all cold medicines and over the counter medications because they can interact with the cipralex and serequel. I always call my pharmacist and ask which medications could counteract with my anti depressants.
Avatar m tn m on 100mg lamotrigine (one in the morning, another in the night), and cipralex (10mg morning only), and to help me sleep i take 2.5mg olanzapine. Honestly If my parents were aware of mental illnesses I could have been on the drug way earlier, I just found out about this in July, when I posted that I want to die, I'm 23 now, just imagine how different my life would have been if I was on the drug as a teenager or something.
574118 tn?1305135284 Antipsychotics can have a mood stabilizing effect or so I was told by a therapist and I know some people take them to control their mania and some of them have even been FDA approved to treat mania but I know at least ones like Geodon are only a maintenance short term treatment really. They even use antipsychotics to reduce the potentially destructive behaviors some kids with autism can have.
Avatar m tn He told me to consult with the psychristic. I consulted with the psychristic. He advised me to take cipralex for one and half month. After taking the cipralex too i feels the same sympton. For that i once again consulted with the other neurophysician in bangalore. He advised me for doing the MRI Scan. The result of the MRI saying "Mild ectopia of cerebellar tonsils. The tips of the tonsil is 5mm below the formen magnum. No mass effect is seen on the Brain stem.
Avatar f tn My went to visit my doctor about my anxiety and sleeping issues and he has put me on Cipralex 10mg dosage a day and also prescribed me 50mg of trazodone to be taken at bedtime to help me sleep. Does anyone take these prescriptions? if so could I please get some feedback on them?
Avatar f tn with no success each time I fly high in happiness then stumble into the bloody mania and each time the mania takes longer to extinguish. True i didn't try st john's wort but read about others' experience and still it brings mania. Of course there are AC's like lamictal which has AD property or abilify an AP with same action activating etc...but i am speaking of an SSRI say because it also kills not only depression but also anxiety and along with OCD. But in vain.
Avatar m tn I have had head aches on cipralex, and when I drink some or even more then some drinks I get almost sick with a head ache. 1) are head aches common in taking anxiety drugs, 2) any way preventing the head aches. 3) dry mouth is that common with these drugs.
Avatar n tn I would give it some time. and don't keep checking your heart rate. Cipralex and this class of drugs are long acting and not something that would just drop your heart rate. But as your stress and anxiety decrease, your heart rate in the resting mode may go back to normal. A resting heart rate of 50 is in the normal range. You are on a low dose. Hope it helps your anxiety/panic. I have found that often anxiety takes a bit higher dose to really work well.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately my experience with paxil/seroxat/paroxetine was really bad. It took quite a while for withdrawal. The reason i tried it, is that i read that it goes well with lamictal. my pdoc was a fool i suppose, i tried many pdocs at the time, and since i tried lexapro/escitalopram/cipralex and drove me manic after 2 months I switched to paxil to realise that it's stronger. they say the strongest is effexor. I suppose all SSRI aren't suitable for BP.
