i took cipralex tablets(escitalopram 10 mg) for 1 month.i felt better.i want to ask if this drug is assosiated with dependency(does it cause dependence?
Tired/Fatigue, Bad Memory, Depressed, Cold Feet, Shortness Of Breath, Headaches, Frequent urination. My doc said he wants to try this medication out for a month and see if it helps, if it does continue for another 7-8 months. Can anybody give me advice? is this medication any good? what to expect? do these symptoms clearly suggest Depression? I thought I had a underactive thyroid since it runs in the family.
Is there anything you guys have done to help with anxiety and not like oh I have anxiety like ANXIETY shaking and crying when it gets bad causing wicked bad headaches and zero appitite. It will last for day and come about from any little thing that upsets me. I'm used to the shaking and panic as I've had it all my life. I won't take anything cause of being pregnant and I don't want to hurt the baby.
I started on 5 mg of Cipralex 2 months ago - then up to 10 mg and now I am on 15 mg (it has been 2 weeks). I feel aweful - very dizzy, confused, heavyness over eyes, bad eyesight, sensitive hearing. Actually many of these symptoms I had before starting Cipralex - my doctor thought Cipralex would help. I also have a history of complicated migraine, I have not taken Sibelium since December 2008.
Just to say, insomnia is a very common long-term withdrawal problem when you stop antidepressants. When did that start? How well did you tolerate stopping the paroxetine? Why did you stop taking it? Did it stop working? Did you taper off slowly before starting the cipralex? I'm asking to see if we can trace what's happening and when it started so you know what's causing what.
I'm a 20 year old female, who has recently been put on cipralex for panic attacks and anxiety. About a week ago I came out in a strange red rash on my chest. I have also been experiencing blurring vision and lightheadedness several times a day. Usually when I wake up in the morning I have had quite bad headaches which usually pass within an hour of being awake. I'm worrying whether this could be the medication or something else. Should I go to a doctor or is it anxiety related?

I've been on it for about 4 weeks now. but for two weeks was on half a tab. switched to full 5mg after that. tummy trouble started about 5 days after i started takin the full 5mg tablet. he then suggested i go back on the half a tab which i started last night. jus want to say though that it the cardiologist that prescribed the meds> i'd been to see him because of the palpitations i'd been experiencing.
He told me to consult with the psychristic. I consulted with the psychristic. He advised me to take cipralex for one and half month. After taking the cipralex too i feels the same sympton. For that i once again consulted with the other neurophysician in bangalore. He advised me for doing the MRI Scan. The result of the MRI saying "Mild ectopia of cerebellar tonsils. The tips of the tonsil is 5mm below the formen magnum. No mass effect is seen on the Brain stem.
I would give it some time. and don't keep checking your heart rate. Cipralex and this class of drugs are long acting and not something that would just drop your heart rate. But as your stress and anxiety decrease, your heart rate in the resting mode may go back to normal. A resting heart rate of 50 is in the normal range. You are on a low dose. Hope it helps your anxiety/panic. I have found that often anxiety takes a bit higher dose to really work well.
When I stopped, I was fine for six months but my depression suddenly started again. I restarted taking cipralex 10 mg one each night and I improved quickly. Now it is four years that I am taking it. I now want to stop it because I am having very decreased sixual drive. So my question is that, Will my sexual drive improve when I stop taking cipralex?
I was on cipralex (lexapro in the US) for almost 3 years and initially experienced some dry mouth, but no extreme side effects at all. It worked amazingly for me. I started on 10mg and then doubled to 20mg after 1 year. I recently switched to Paxil about 1 month ago, and have really disliked the way it makes me feel. My anxiety has been much worse and the side effects are just awful. It has been so much worse than cipralex.
I was on celexa for 8.5 yrs.. Started on 20mgs n my dr raised it to 40mgs after 4 yrs cuz it just didn't seem to be working.. After another 4.5 yrs it stopped working so she put me on cipralex... Been on cipralex for about almost 2 yrs now, and I don't find it worked as well as the celexa when it was working... I'm guessing it works different for everybody.. Do u still suffer panic n depression a lot??
I am facing burning feet and shin while sitting since last 5 years. My NCS, RA Factor, ANA, ESR are normal. I have taken variety of medicines including Dulan, ronirol, tegral, prothyadine, cipralex, epival cr 500, sensival 25 etc. but my problem is still not resolved. During this problem i started walk which increased the problem. However, during walk i feel very normal i.e. no painful burning sensation, i feel. This is important that when i lay down i donot feel pain.
m a 20 year old female who suffers anxiety and panic dissorder as well as depression and complex PTSD. I have had so many symptoms if anxiety and panic but for the past 2 weeks iv had this tingling/pressure in my head. Sometimes it moves to different spots in my head. This is very frustrating and hard to live with. I also have extreme fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and headaches. Iv had tests done that cane back clear. It's hard to believe that this severe tingling in my head is just anxiety.
First of all may I ask why you switched from celexa to cipralex? I know I have asked my Dr about abilify and she will not prescribe it for me, not sure why but she does say there are better drugs out there... I know every Doc is different as is every person. Sorry, I know this does not answer your question..
just want to check if these are side effects of taking the AD- burning sensation over parts of my skin- esp base of head/ neck, one and off tension headaches, and eyes not focusing..??? i had near perfect eye sight before this all started and now im not sure if half my anxiety is because of this... Also do the side effects go away or are they going to be permanent until i stop the meds whenever that may be.?
It's meant to be a better vision of escitalopram as I'm in the uk they don't do lexapro it's cipralex here I'm on day 5 and no better yet just want things to start working really iv been told up to 2 weeks but can be as soon as 6-8 days the only side effect is the insomnia and not being able to sleep that's why iv been given zopiclone for that but don't want to have to depend on it for a long time, iv been through all this before on many different anti depressants wit
