About 1 year ago I had a priapism episode after a bit of an overdose of Cialis (maybe 40 mg) and alot of alcohol. At the time the Cialis was mostly for reassurance and not that necessary.
My guess is that I had an 8 to 10 hour erection that went away on its own without medical intervention. Definitely a strange feeling after that incident for quite awhile... a sensation of slight penis discomfort that I never had before.

It's not so much my libido that's dropped, it's that I've noticed that in the last year or so, I get aroused just fine, and can get an erection, but sometimes during sex I have trouble maintaining the erection. Basically, I said that this problem is extremely common and easily treatable; patients should go to a urologist and do a series of tests to make sure there's nothing organically wrong with them; and even if this is purely psychological, a urologist can prescribe an effective treatment.
There are studies that show the long term efficacy of these drugs. I'm not an expert, but I don't think they just stop working like that. I've been using Cialis for over a year with excellent results.

I'm sure part of it is physical, due to the lexapro & metoprolol I take. But my doc shared with me himself that he's taken Cialis and it worked for him well. He also said that it stays in the system for a fairly long time so that's definitely good to know.
ve had ED for 10 years and taking Cialis. I am curious what your doctor told you 10 years ago and when he prescribed Cialis. 21 was a young age to have ED. I wonder if the body gets used to the drugs and eventually they are not so effective, and then they should not be taken on a daily basis but used only when necessary. Your diabetes is a factor, also. There are many other causes of nerve disorder causing pins and needles or glove-and-stocking neuropathy or paresthesia including diabetes, hypothyroidism, chronic involvement of liver or kidney, chronic alcohol use etc. Hypoparathyroidism too should be looked into apart from hypothyroidism. Neck strain, spondylotic changes in cervical vertebrae, bone disease or bad posture should be looked into. Nerve infections as in Lyme’s disease too should be investigated.

Before I caught up with him the first time he mentioned to me he had problems with ED and was taking Cialis. This had been happening for the last 15 years in his life. When I saw him for the first time, he was able to achieve erections with no problem but had difficulty ejaculating. He did a couple of times with a lot of help from me. Forward 5 months and we catch up again and this time he could not achieve any erection whatsoever even though he was still taking the Cialis.
When we are turned on and I start to stimulate her with my fingers or tongue, my erection disappears even if I took Cialis. When I’m not on Cialis I can‘t maitain an erection regarding any sexual activities with my GF sometimes I can but it is not very strong.
