Common Questions and Answers about Cialis and nitro

cialis

Avatar n tn t touched his wife because he cannot get an erection, and he got the Cialis to see if it would make a difference, and it hasn't yet. It could also be for the other things Cialis is prescribed for. (It's not just for erectile dysfunction.) Good luck to her in figuring it out.
Avatar n tn i've taken nitro for quite some time...sometimes i get headaches from it and sometimes i don't. from all the different cardio docs i've seen, none of them have ever said anything about the headaches being related to a true heart issue. that sounds odd to me. but i'm no doc. hope you feel better...
1396517 tn?1500880649 I'm type 2 diabetic and overweight and have not had any erection problems until this year when during foreplay I'd be as hard as a rock, but go soft just before insertion... my wife has been understanding, but it has been frustrating. My Doctor said that erection problems are more common than people think - especially for people over 40 and she could prescribe a generic 'Cialis' if need be but I was too embarrassed to take up the offer.
384247 tn?1205152678 Of course, they assumed it was my heart and after getting me in bed, the first thing they did was hook me up and at the same time gave me nitro sublingual. It was almost immediately that my heart rate took off. It got up to like 186 and they had to give me adenocard to bring it back down. I was hospitalized for 3 days. I had the regular heart blood work up and all that came back normal. After visits to the cardiologist and a stress echo test, everything with my heart was fine.
Avatar n tn t get air and I drove to dr and he checked me out and put nitro under my tounge sent me in ambulance to heart hospital they did heart cath no blockage left nitro patch on all time I was there if I don't have blockage at all how come when dr put this under my tounge in minutes I felt relief
Avatar n tn The problem is that unless that you have an scanner, I think there is no way to distinguish an ischemic from an hemorrhagic stroke and, if it is the second, and you administer nitro the chances to survive are lower. By the way.... speaking about the heart attack it is also a very sensitive point, unless you know the medical background of the patient... to separate a HA from a tear in the aorta it is not that easy... Jesus.
Avatar m tn I don't have ED but I was curious if my erections could be stronger. I spoke with my doctor and tried Cialis and Viagra. Since they have much different half-lives, I thought I'd try the following: Taking 10-20 mg Cialis every 2-3 days, then taking 20-40 mg Viagra (generic sildenafil) before sexual activity. My questions isn't whether this is effective - it certainly is. But is there any risk to doing this? I moved so I don't have a doctor right now.
Avatar n tn Met my wife 6 months ago again performance anxiety, took cialis and it worked until I made a decision to try celexa for two weeks and I dont know if it was my anxiety or fear or did it really kill my sex drive. Viagra or Cialis didnt work. Went back on Luvox up to 150mg and Neurontin 300mg 2x a day.I would get an erection but a thought would pop into my head that Im not performing well and it would go down. Somehow Cialis started to work for me again and its been successful.
Avatar m tn The Cialis only started working about 3 and a half hours after taking it. Then it lasted for 2 or maybe 3 days. In that time it was easy to get it up. I would recommend it (on it's own) and I would say it's better than Levitra.
Avatar m tn I would talk to your doctor about cialis. My husband takes it and it works like a charm. It is not like you have to take it and be ready to go that minute. It works for up to 36 hours so you can take it and when mood is right, you will be ready to go.
Avatar n tn t been able to get or hold erections....not often but enough that it bothers me. I have tried all kinds of drugs...viagra, cialis, over the counter stuff....they work but I don't like the side effects or having to use chemicals. Is there anything natural out there that gives you that extra sex drive you need to ensure you always get and hold a good erection...or should I just assume I will have that problem because I am getting older...I don't want to lose it.
Avatar n tn I am scheduled for a thallium stress test, and would like to know how the use of viagra or nitro prior to the test would influance the results.
Avatar n tn m assuming you still have angina symptoms and the nitro patches are used to relieve these symptoms. One thing to remember, drinking alcohol when using nitro medication will result in headaches. I have had a number of stents and have two blockages of 60% in small branch arteries that are too small to accept stents, I take a generic form of Imdur which is time-release nitro, and it works better for me than the patches.
Avatar n tn I just looked at several websites about this and only found 2 answers. One, there IS a cialis made for women. Two, women should not take cialis for men. No reason was given. Sorry that's all I have for you.
Avatar n tn Did he just prescribe them? I had a stent put in in May and they gave me the nitro pills then and asked me to keep them with me. I haven't used them, though. I think having them is normal protocol. You probably won't need them, but you'll have them in case you do. Don't worry. Just get used to carrying them with you.
Avatar m tn t drink alcohol while taking medicine but I have in the past drink a little just to relax my nerves and also taken the cialis and as you can see I am still alive telling you my story. however, I take cialis because I believe I have a venous leak. If you're not experiencing a venous leak with your penis, then you don't need to take cialis.
Avatar m tn Will I just eventually get use to just taking a nitro pill when I feel chest discomfort and going on with my life? As I also mentioned before, the CAD diagnosis in 7/2008 gave me a panic disorder “when I was 15, I seen my Dad die in front of me from a heart attack when he was 44.” So anytime I have gotten chest pain in the past 1 ½ years I immediately think I am about to die.
Avatar n tn I too have some discomfort and it is always in between my shoulder blades. Do you carry Nitro with you? I do and I take Isosorbide (long lasting Nitro) daily. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I was searching to see if there might be any interaction between the medications and Cialis and in doing so found that sudden hearing loss is a potential rare side effect to Cialis and similar medications. By this time it has been more than two weeks since the onset of the hearing loss and I cannot remember precisely but I believe that I may have last taken one Cialis tablet within 24 hours before the earache hearing problem.
Avatar m tn Hello, I have read in a few websites that there is an increased risk of priapism in patients who take ED drugs like Cialis/Viagra/Levitra and who also have (among other conditions) Sickle Cell Disease and/or Beta Thalassemia. It's not clear to me whether Beta Thalassemia Minor (my condition) also increases that risk.I could not find much information about it.
Avatar f tn Brochitis is the inflammation of the respiratory airways and not releated to blood flow to the heart, and nitro would be of no benefit for chest pain unrleated to the heart...sometime an esophegeal pain can be helped with nitro...but no other pain relief noted for nitro. It may not harm you to take nitro, but it won't help your bonchitis. Aspirin may be of some help. Thanks for the question, and if you have any further questions or comments you are welcome to respond. Take care.
Avatar f tn See if the Cialis works. Hopefully, it will. If not, allow your significant other to give you a slow hand job to see if you can hold an erection until ejaculation. You should be sexually active with only your partner and not viewing porn and masturbating on your own to avoid using up all of your sexual energy.
Avatar m tn ve had ED for 10 years and taking Cialis. I am curious what your doctor told you 10 years ago and when he prescribed Cialis. 21 was a young age to have ED. I wonder if the body gets used to the drugs and eventually they are not so effective, and then they should not be taken on a daily basis but used only when necessary. Your diabetes is a factor, also. I would advise you to work with a urologist, and if you have, go to another as a second opinion.
