1) i am 34, m and hypertensive, i take 100mg of atenolol, 5mg amlodipine, 25mg captopril, 1/2 tab of moduretic daily then isordil for angina, i need to lose 10kg, smoke and drink moderately. I recently started having a weak erection and low energy for sex, my bp is usually 130-140/80-90. It goes higher if i drink and results in chest pain and arythmia which goes away after sometime. I tried stopping atenolol but developed a strange cough which lasted over a month.

I'm type 2 diabetic and overweight and have not had any erection problems until this year when during foreplay I'd be as hard as a rock, but go soft just before insertion... my wife has been understanding, but it has been frustrating. My Doctor said that erection problems are more common than people think - especially for people over 40 and she could prescribe a generic 'Cialis' if need be but I was too embarrassed to take up the offer.

I was just prescribed amlodipine for my gastritis how ever I can't seem to find any info about it being helpful for that. All the info I have found is about blood pressure. Is this a common prescription? Should I be concerned if I already have low blood pressure?

I had been taking Amlodipine for a few weeks and BP rose. Doctor has increased to 5 mg. Not sure how long it will take to reduce BP. Has anyone any experience with Amlodipine? How is it? Any adverse side effects?

I am a male 70 years of age. I have been on 150mg Irbesartan and 5mg Amlodipine daily since October 2010. This controlled by BP within acceptable limits. Since late April, however, the systolic has risen to an average of around 150. My doctor wants me to add a beta blocker to the other medications. Since last October my heart rate was averaging below 60. Since late April it is averaging around 70.

I don't have ED but I was curious if my erections could be stronger. I spoke with my doctor and tried Cialis and Viagra. Since they have much different half-lives, I thought I'd try the following: Taking 10-20 mg Cialis every 2-3 days, then taking 20-40 mg Viagra (generic sildenafil) before sexual activity. Met my wife 6 months ago again performance anxiety, took cialis and it worked until I made a decision to try celexa for two weeks and I dont know if it was my anxiety or fear or did it really kill my sex drive. I was put on lisinopril and amlodipine. Ever since I started taking these medications my ocd has been totally out of control. There are rituals and image problems that I have never had before and it's really getting worse. Does anyone here have anxiety problems along with HBP and the medications have made them worse? The Cialis only started working about 3 and a half hours after taking it. Then it lasted for 2 or maybe 3 days. In that time it was easy to get it up. I would recommend it (on it's own) and I would say it's better than Levitra.

I would talk to your doctor about cialis. My husband takes it and it works like a charm. It is not like you have to take it and be ready to go that minute. It works for up to 36 hours so you can take it and when mood is right, you will be ready to go.

t been able to get or hold erections....not often but enough that it bothers me. I have tried all kinds of drugs...viagra, cialis, over the counter stuff....they work but I don't like the side effects or having to use chemicals. Is there anything natural out there that gives you that extra sex drive you need to ensure you always get and hold a good erection...or should I just assume I will have that problem because I am getting older...I don't want to lose it.

My most recent Primary Doc just switched me to Metoprolol Tarta 25mg and off of the Amlodipine to see if that was the cause of the Vertigo, sadly the symptoms are still there. I've seen the: ENT Doctor & Dizzy Specialist - All clear Neurologist - All clear (no MRI performed) Eye Doctor - 20/20 vision 3 Different Primary Doctors - Nothing stands out I'm at a loss at what else I can do to help cure these symptoms... any suggestions would be helpful.

I just looked at several websites about this and only found 2 answers. One, there IS a cialis made for women. Two, women should not take cialis for men. No reason was given. Sorry that's all I have for you.

t drink alcohol while taking medicine but I have in the past drink a little just to relax my nerves and also taken the cialis and as you can see I am still alive telling you my story. however, I take cialis because I believe I have a venous leak. If you're not experiencing a venous leak with your penis, then you don't need to take cialis.

They started me on losartan 50 mg and amlodipine 5mg. And for some reason it seams like it is not going down, so I went to the ER and they increased my amlodipine to 10mg and adv me to contact my primary dr that following week. Called the dr that next week and he increased my losartan to 100 mg and amlodipine to 10 mg, 1 each per day. However it seems like my bp is still hanging out around the upper 180's.

Are you aware about the combination Valsartan and Amlodipine to treat hypertension in high risk patients? How its is better than Telmisarton and Amlodipine combination?
