I have taken prednisone many other times, with no adverse side effects. I went to the doctor yesterday with the following symptomps; even though I knew that I was getting enough air, I felt that I could not get a good breath and my throat felt very tight and jaw just clenched open while I was gasping for breath. I also felt very anxious. I never experienced this before. Boy it was scary.

Hello all I'm on day 9 and still clean :) I have a question before I started detox I had bronchus I think that is how u spell it lol well I did not take the cough syrup because I was not sure if it had a narcotic in it.
Between December 2002 and October 2005, 189 non-diabetic patients were treated with Peg-IFN-alpha/Riba, of whom five developed type 1 DM (2.6%), three type 2 DM (1.6%) and one an indeterminate type of DM. Classical symptoms of DM were present in three patients who developed DM shortly after cessation of Peg-IFN-alpha/Riba. In the other patients, symptoms of DM were either indistinguishable from side effects caused by Peg-IFN-alpha/Riba or absent.
I think Robitussin DM is okay. I have a pvcs's and pac's and svt and can take it. My doc told me to take that. You can always call the pharmacy and check too.
You can take robitussin cough syrup, just the original though no "DM" or other extra stuff. Zyrtec, claritin, and sudafed are all ok too.
Tylenol pm and robotics robitussin do both aren't safe.
I have dermatomyosistis and have been in remission for 11 years. I also have very oily skin and cystic acne. I was taking antibiotics for 7 years but I started having stomach problems and had to stop taking them, and am currently taking spironolactone but it is not entirely effective and I'm not comfortable with all of the risks. My dermatologist suggested PDT acne treatment and told me that it would not bring me out of remission, but I'd like as much input as I can get.
My doctor told me that you can basically take any cough syrup. But I'm really paranoid as well that I never take the chance..
My ob gave my a sheet that has all the safe medication you can take. For cold/flu, robitussin DM cough syrup, robitussin cold capsules (non drowsy) and tylenol cold and flu are safe. I'm sick right now and I'm using tylenol cold and flu, helps with cogh, sinus, congestion and all that good stuff.
Thank you much for responding to my post, well I consume 120ml bottle of cough syrup in about 3 days, and yes I do want to quit both but do not see how is it possible......about any effects that I feel, i do not feel any side effects as of yet, but i know both these things are silent killers and must be doing something wrong in me somewhere...
I have taken Advil cold and sinus before and it works. As for the cough syrup i have used the Robitussin or Triaminic stuff. Ask the pharmacists about it too as they will help you.
