The anti-inflammatory drug celecoxib, known by the brand name Celebrex, triggers liver cancer cell death by reacting with a protein in a way that makes those cells commit suicide, according to a new study.
Researchers also found that the combination of celecoxib with each of two chemotherapy drugs killed more liver cancer cells in culture, making those combinations more effective than either drug on its own.

t seen anything positive about Celecoxib. My question is how long should I wait until I start taking this on a regular basis. Because, I have had many alcoholic drinks in my time, but if I stay sober should I be able to take this within 2 weeks? I'm only saying that because I'm assuming it might be a good window opportunity for my liver to start healing!
Ah thanks for your comment,, I have tried celecoxib and arcoxia as my doctors advised but I already got immune with this meds as they can't controll the pain anymore..
Drink a lot of water??? What did she base that on??? Was she a MOA or a RN? It matters not, because getting the shot again will not harm you. It might make your wallet thinner. Stop worrying.

I just did one after I fell and found out that I should not even be on half the medications I am on due to my Celecoxib. The same thing happened to me, Also have an allergy to Ibuprofen All of the Coxibs like celecoxib and even to ketarolac - as Dr_Veena said they do belong to NSAID group, however currently I'm very cautious in taking any drugs for headaches, different antipyretics like acetominophen and salicylates like aspirin.
What has helped me the most is Celebrex (celecoxib); It is an anti-inflammatory and unlike over the counter ibuprofen it is safer for your stomach. You want to target reducing inflammation, instead of killing the pain (such as with Narcotics). If you simply kill the pain, you will revert to habits like poor seating position or movement patterns that can exacerbate the injury -- deadly cycle. Ice does this, as well.
Well, some people do have a lower recurrence rate, but if aldara isn't working for you - and it might still be a bit early to know that - then it won't help recurrence rates.
I'm a fan of freezing them. It works MUCH faster, and while some people have to keep going back, others don't have to return at all.

So went to hospital a week ago and did x-ray and blood test. Doctor has given me Celecoxib 200 mg capsules twice a day for 14 days and a gel to apply on my shoulder. Few times when I'm out I missed applying the gel but never missed the capsules (although once I had the capsules 4 hours late).
Today I received the x-ray image and report by email, and still waiting for the blood test report.

She gave me Ethical ciprobiotic Uro, and an antiinflamitory; Celeco, celecoxib 400mg. 2 to 3 hours later I am now peeing alot of blood. Ok I know everyone asks these kids of questions but I have a bunch of symptoms.
So I have officially missed 4 periods now. I am fairly regular with potentially being late by a day or two but never missed. I thought it was off when I missed the first one, then when I missed the second went to the dr and had a neg pee test. Then the 3rd month I went again and had a blood test, the results came in and the moa told me "it looks all good"???
