Avatar m tn Three weeks after commencing celecoxib he developed jellybean-shaped loss of vision centrally in each eye. This occurred every day after his morning dose and lasted for a few hours. The celecoxib was stopped and there was no recurrence of the visual disturbance.
Avatar m tn t seen anything positive about Celecoxib. My question is how long should I wait until I start taking this on a regular basis. Because, I have had many alcoholic drinks in my time, but if I stay sober should I be able to take this within 2 weeks? I'm only saying that because I'm assuming it might be a good window opportunity for my liver to start healing!
Avatar m tn t support I had either of them. However, I do have some inflammatory in my body and fluids in the joints. So the doctor gave Celecoxib to me to help with the pain. Could it be Celecoxib that caused the red spots?

Avatar f tn Anyway, I was reviewing blood work from the past and I discovered that my TSH level is changing drastically. In 05/2012 it was 2.68 then 06/2012 it was 3.84. Now it is 1.89. I understand that all those numbers are within normal range. However, should there be concern that this number has changed so much?
Avatar n tn A cast was put to restrict movement. The doctor says he can remove the cast and put a splint. In the meantime, he presrcibe 3 different tablets: Norflex, Celebrex and Kotase(Bromelain). He asked me to take one of each tab twice a day for 5 days before removing the cast. According to him, this will reduce the pains i will feel when the cast is removed. However, i am a bit worried about the drugs. I'm bothered there might be some after effects.
Avatar f tn My doctor changed my medication to celecoxib which like the others is not helping and I live in Scotland where our health care is provided from the government which is great in a sense but on the down side, I can't choose to go and see a neurologist, it has to be my doctors decision unless I went private which I could not afford to do. Last year I was very down and tried to hang myself. Do you think it's possible that I could have done some damage there which is resulting in this pain?

Avatar m tn Topamax or topiramate is a seizure medication, which is also used to prevent migraine headaches in adults. However, it will only prevent migraine headaches or reduce the number of attacks and will not treat a headache that has already begun. Celebrex or celecoxib, on the other hand, is used to treat pain or inflammation including headaches. Medication effect usually varies from one person to another. What is effective to one may not be as effective to another.
604489 tn?1220023514 Has anyone who has suffered with arthritis experience pain in the center of the knee that radiates up the outside of the thigh? For the past week, I have had excruciating pain in these areas that is not well controlled with OTC stuff like Advil or Aleve. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Hi, Yes, some people might develop allergic reactions in the form of facial swelling, hives, asthma, breathing difficulty, shock etc with use of ibuprofen. Most commonly there is aspirin allergy noticed in coincidence with allergy to ibuprofen. Asprin belongs to salicylate group while ibuprofen belongs to NSAID’s group. It does not mean that allergy will occur to every compound of that group.

Avatar m tn I am 38 yo male. I had severe pain in my left arm. So went to hospital a week ago and did x-ray and blood test. Doctor has given me Celecoxib 200 mg capsules twice a day for 14 days and a gel to apply on my shoulder. Few times when I'm out I missed applying the gel but never missed the capsules (although once I had the capsules 4 hours late). Today I received the x-ray image and report by email, and still waiting for the blood test report.
