celebrex

Avatar f tn The scientists treated five different types of hepatocellular carcinoma cells with two different doses of celecoxib for two hours, and followed by giving them IL-6 for 30 minutes. The pre-treatment with the lower dose of celecoxib inhibited IL-6's ability to start the reaction that activates STAT3. The higher dose blocked STAT3 altogether.
Avatar m tn About 2 weeks ago, I noticed small red spots appear on my inner thighs and feet and also hands. I started taking Vitamin-C for about 10-12 days and the spots are gone. But recently, when I had bad sleeps I found blood in my nose when I woke up. And when I spit sputum in the sink there's some blood with it. and sometimes my nose bleeds all of sudden. It's easy to stop bleeding and it only lasts for like 1 minute or so. PS. I take Celecoxib daily for my joint's pain.
453731 tn?1225199508 NSAIDs include celecoxib (Celebrex), diclofenac (Voltaren), ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil), indomethacin, naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn), piroxicam (Feldene), and others. These medicines may affect blood clotting and could cause serious bleeding in your stomach or intestines. Avoid sudden changes in your diet. Vitamin K decreases the effects of Coumadin.
Avatar m tn This occurred every day after his morning dose and lasted for a few hours. The celecoxib was stopped and there was no recurrence of the visual disturbance.
Avatar f tn She gave me Ethical ciprobiotic Uro, and an antiinflamitory; Celeco, celecoxib 400mg. 2 to 3 hours later I am now peeing alot of blood. How concerned should I be, becuase I feel slightly wonky and a little scared. I cant get ahold of my friend to take me to the hospital and cant go out alone now becuase its late. Is this normal to pee blood? Is this prescription to high for me?
Avatar f tn Ah thanks for your comment,, I have tried celecoxib and arcoxia as my doctors advised but I already got immune with this meds as they can't controll the pain anymore..
Avatar n tn Other than that, achieving and maintaining proper weight and avoiding alcohol are about all she can do in terms of diet.
Avatar f tn As for medication there is nothing you can do now but wait and talk to you OBGYN when you have your appointment, the fact that the pregnancy is progressing is a good sign. Best thing you can do is relax and keep calm for both you and the baby.
Avatar f tn I called my Pharmacist and found out that they had just switched my usual Celecoxib for a newer generic version of it and so I stopped taking that one and started taking my old one and stopped the Citalopram, Divalproex DR and Buspar and I am feeling much, much better . I am still having some dizziness but not near as bad as before. But it may be due to my having a Flare of Uveitis right now, too.
Avatar m tn In the meantime, lay off any caffeine your drinking (especially energy drinks if you drink those) and alcohol, and drink more water. You may not be dehydrated, but that never hurts. I see on another thread that you're taking Celecoxib. That can raise blood pressure, which can cause dizziness. Definitely get into your doctor if you're still taking that. https://www.webmd.
Avatar m tn Passive treatments relax your body and include deep tissue massage, hot and cold therapy, electrical stimulation (eg, TENS), and hydrotherapy. Your physical therapy program will usually begin with passive treatments. But once your body heals, you will start active treatments that strengthen your body and prevent further pain. Your physical therapist will work with you to develop a plan that best suits you.... all the best..
Avatar n tn I have had gout in my right big toe sevral times but this time my ankle started hurting first and swelling and the next day my big toe started hurting I started taking naproxen 500mg two days went by and it was not doing the trick. I called my Doc. and he done some blood work he said that the uric acid was on the hi side of normal. He started me on Methypred this is my 2nd day of that. Can I take Naproxen with that are not? And can you get gout in both places at once?
Avatar m tn I have nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and sometimes the throbbing. (and a pressurized pain) thanks for the insight!!
Avatar n tn What has helped me the most is Celebrex (celecoxib); It is an anti-inflammatory and unlike over the counter ibuprofen it is safer for your stomach. You want to target reducing inflammation, instead of killing the pain (such as with Narcotics). If you simply kill the pain, you will revert to habits like poor seating position or movement patterns that can exacerbate the injury -- deadly cycle. Ice does this, as well.
604489 tn?1220023514 how's about celecoxib 100mg bd ok friend
Avatar f tn The same thing happened to me, Also have an allergy to Ibuprofen All of the Coxibs like celecoxib and even to ketarolac - as Dr_Veena said they do belong to NSAID group, however currently I'm very cautious in taking any drugs for headaches, different antipyretics like acetominophen and salicylates like aspirin.
Avatar m tn So went to hospital a week ago and did x-ray and blood test. Doctor has given me Celecoxib 200 mg capsules twice a day for 14 days and a gel to apply on my shoulder. Few times when I'm out I missed applying the gel but never missed the capsules (although once I had the capsules 4 hours late). Today I received the x-ray image and report by email, and still waiting for the blood test report.
Avatar f tn Chances of allergy are high in your case as you got the symptoms after taking the drug and you were almost symptom free when you did not. Instead you can take COX-2 inhibitors like rofecoxib and celecoxib or nimesulide. Try local analgesic creams and sprays and hot water bags. These will be equally effective in relieving pain without loading your system with drugs. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
618585 tn?1236714644 On the 17th, Joseph went in for a transfusion, and was told that he was being taken off clinical trials, and that he should start to seek hospice services. By Friday, the 19th, he was as weak as a kitten, and couldn't understand or read lips anymore very easily. (he was also deaf) He took a fall that day, and when his housemate tried to help him up, he had no strength at all. He went in on Monday the 20th for a scan, but they couldn't complete it because of the pain.
Avatar f tn So of you have say 2 drinks in an hour, your blood alcohol and your breast milk will have 0.08% alcohol. This amount is almost the same that is found in normal juice (yes there is naturally very very trace amounts in all juice). As long as you aren't drinking heavily and nursing at the same time, you are fine to have a drink every now and then without worrying about harming your baby.
3232858 tn?1437130677 In the past and when we were having difficulties trying to stabilize me with psych meds, he absolutely forbade drinking alcohol ic beverages. Like you, I hardly drink and very rarely do I crave or want alcohol. I prefer coffee when I feel the need for a "drink," so I don't consider myself an alcoholic.
Avatar m tn I wont go into "random" testing. Alcohol is a toxin so your Liver stops all other functions (and there are dozens of them) to detoxify your Blood. Its the liver that removes Met. So detoxing the alcohol can cause the Met to build up in your system. You dont say how much Met you take. To be a problem you would have to drink for a Looooooong time as in alcoholic behavior where so the liver never has a chance to go back to its other functions.
Avatar m tn m about to ask is not something I partake in on any kind of regular basis, we just think we are back in college and proceed to act and drink like fools. This trip is usually 5 days and consists of getting up at noon going to the pool and starting with the beer before we eat (extremely stupid I now realize) and basically drink beer all day and most of the night and pretty much only eating dinner.
Avatar f tn My doctors take a pee sample every visit and drug test every time they even ha e signs up that if you fail one it will be reported and they will call dss when baby is born (i don't do anything but that's my Dr's office)
Avatar f tn cool, if not dump that and test the next batch. Eventually, your milk will be free of alcohol and you can go back to nursing. Regardless, be prepared to toss out All that liquid gold...it certainly hurts to throw down the drain oz and oz of milk, but a night off sometimes is worth it.
