I've been fighting a battle of diarrhea for the past four days with no end in sight.
Yesterday I went to the hospital because I began to experience sever dehydration.
I was also worried because three weeks prior to experiencing this diarrhea I had laparoscopic surgery to repair a very large hiadial hernia.
Last night at the ER they could see no reason for my symptom. The only symptom being sever diarrhea.

Thank you for responding to my question. It has been 12 days since I had root canal on #14. Took Cipro for 7 days. I'm still feeling lpain/discomfort on #14 and try not to chew on that side of mouth. How long does it for root canal to heal? Can and do root canal fail? What are symptoms of failed root canal. At the time of root canal Endodonist put temporary filled on crown. I have appoint with regular dentist for permanent filling in a week.
Do yourself a favor and visit an urgent care clinic, inform them of what you stated here and just pay for the visit. They'll most likely treat you for gonorrhea and chlamydia given the fact that your partner had positive results. It should be a quick painless shot in the butt followed by a few days of azithro (z-pack). I know it sucks, but just do it and then go back a few weeks later for a follow up urine test to see if it cleared up.
It's far better to treat and know than to wonder.
I'm a female and 5 days after giving oral sex to a male I came down with a sore throat and puss pockets went to dr and was put on z pack. That didn't clear it so I was put on cefdinir pus pockets are gone and my throat is no longer sore, however I have whitish grey flat patches in my throat on both sides just behind my back teeth. 2nd dr I went to tested me and I tested positive for yeast she gave me Nystatin for 10 days and patches are still there.
was just diagnosed last wednesday with the flu, and then yesterday 5 days later was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I've had a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared.
I do the liguids and been using the Vit c drops to perevent coughing any one here have suggestion. I have cipro. and was wondering if anyone has used it for a few days for this type problem. I also have clindamycin that my dentist gives me before dental work I have to take this becase of open heart many years ago. Sorry you are having such a hard time -- it may be a 'Herx' reaction, short for Herxheimer ... you can look it up on wikipedia, but it's the effect of the bacteria dying off and releasing their toxins into your system.
I'd call the doc's office tomorrow and report your symptoms, because it could be something the doc needs to know about, like whether to change the meds or the dose or whatever. Don't do that without the doc's approval, tho.
I am really afraid and I was giving a antibiotic called Cefdinir to take for 7 days two times a day. I am really worried. My head feels extremely conjested and my bed is still on the floor awaiting my new bedframe to be delivered at the beginning of October. I live in Texas so our a/c stays on. I can't sleep for researching hiv and symptoms. I want to buy a test from Wal-Mart but is it to early to check. I am so scared to go to the clinic.
m not sure if she used a new condom(I was drunk).The place were this happened (a small alley) is known for not that being to careful about hygene.Also for financial reasons they often use condoms(for blowjobs) more then once.
Well,I'm just scared that the condom she put on me was already used and the chance for me contracting hiv if this was previously used by an hiv positive man.I never came but had plenty of precum if that might help for information).
s hospital where they treated him for pneumonia for 2 days then sent home to take Cefdinir for 12 days. Once the 12 days were over he once again started with the high fever and his cough never left. His doctor did x-rays once again and put him back on Cefdinir for 10 days. He ended up going back to Children's E.R. where they said he had decreased air movement in his lower left lobe and put him on Amox-Clav ES for 14 days. He is still running fever with a wet cough.
The Azithromycin did not clear the sinus infection so i was put on Cefdinir at 300 mg twice a day for one week. My hope was that if i had anything one of these two antibiotics would clear it up. Yesterday i went to doctor due to still having the burning after urination. I was given a pee test and then prescibed 10 days of Cipro 500 mg twice a day. I do not think they tested me for any stds but i was diagnosed with a UTI.
Who gave me antibiotics. It went away for a few days but then came back. My symptoms were running nose, nasal drainage down my throat filling my lungs with gunk, and subsequent cough. After 3 more trips to my family Dr. and three more, and different antibiotics, I demanded something was wrong and I'm not taking any more antibiotics. I went to see an ENT and he said it was my deviated septum causing the problems. So I scheduled an appointment for the surgery.
