Endodonist said there was pus -- infection. I have had allergic reaction to Levaquin and AzitheraI and have had side effects diarrhea and lightheaded from Cefdinir and Cephalexin so he prescribed Cipro 500mg. Said he doesn't usually prescribe but given that it have taken Cipro 250mg in the past (or urinary tract infection with no side effects. Is Cipro as effective as other antibiotics for dental infection?

I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.

Not all antiboitics can alter the effects of bc pills. Which kind were you on? They say to use another form of protection while taking the other meds, so I think your ok after a few days of being off the antiboitics.

m not sure if Zofran is used in children but you could ask. Tetrabenzene is used but that has some serious side effects so that might not be for children either. But there are other medications as well. Clonidine in patch form (Catapres) is especially helpful for tic like motions (tardive tourreticism which is a variant of tardive dyskinesia I have as well). I am on Tenex which is helpful as well. I believe both of those are used in children.

I'm more worried about the hair thinning right now. I've seen posts about people thinking their hair thinning is a result of the medication. The side effects I've found is a long list and hair thinning has been mentioned. I'm scared to death and beginning to panic about it.

Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.

i took him to the dr tuesday and he had a double ear infrceion. she put him on CEFDINIR and said there was a 5% chance hed have reation and wednesday (after 3 doses) he broke out in an awful rash. just like he did when he was 11 months old from the penicillin,. he is 2 and a half now. I took him to the dr and we stopped the medicine and i began the 4-6 hrs of benadryl i just want to know how long will he continue to break out? he goes between 6-8 hours and then will break out.

For the last or two years when the weather changes or anything the right side of my face would swell and I will be in pain but every time I go to the dr or ER over it they tell me it's a toothache but my teeth don't hurt it only hurts up beside my nose and by my eye like it's my sinus..

I had a TT for papillary carcinoma in 7/07. I had a 30% uptake in my thyroid scan and they gave me 21mCi I-131 to bring down the dose. I just received my second dose (220mCi) last week, and expected nominal side effects. I've felt terrible since then. Loss of taste, overall nausea, etc. Anyone else go through this? My docs didn't mention anything about side effects (besides the normal salivary glands swelling). How long should I expect to feel this way?

Wow, so sorry to hear about your problems. The side effects vary so greatly from person to person… it’s hard to know in advance how much it will affect you. It shouldn’t prevent you from caring for your children entirely, but it might make things challenging for you. My personal experience with the meds wasn’t too bad; I managed fairly well. Others report having to alter their work schedules and sleep habits, etc.

what do you think?? Progesterone side effects or could this be it? I was on progesterone w/DD but we got pg the first month trying (after 4 mc) so I don't have a reference point of progesterone w/o pregnancy.

Drug affect different people in many different ways. Just look at the side-effects listed on most drugs..... a long list and there are usually more. I have never had any reactions to antibiotics that I am aware of, but it appears you did, and others may as well.

The only symptom being sever diarrhea. A side from the dehydration which they gave me 2 bags of sodium chloride intravenously which completely rehydrate me. When I say sever diarrhea, I mean sever! I'd say I am having about 20 episodes per day. I am literally running into the restroom ever 10 minutes with watery green diarrhea. They prescribed cefdinir taken orally 2 times a day. Is there anything else I should worry about.

Hello, I'm 19 years old and just got diagnosed, as one would say, with ADD/ADHD rather recently. I was given a prescription for Concerta 36mg to be taken daily. This is the third week taking it and I have been noticing some odd side effects. On days when I take it in the morning and don't eat I feel nauseous and generally off, which I was warned about prior so it doesn't worry me as much. However, I have also noticed quite a difference in my mood.
