Other antibiotics likely to cause seizures are ciprofloxacin, cefdinir, cephalexin, and penicillin (there are others too like metronidazole and TB drug INH etc). Usually taking vitamin B along with antibiotic prevents the likelihood of seizures. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!

I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.

Iam having a terrible toothache the dentist said it is my wisdom tooth growing below my other tooth.She prescribed penicillin due to infections and I have a fever. I am scared to take it thinking that it may affect my babies. I am pregnant with twins.My first pregnancy ended in m/c at 5 1/2/ months.She said its ok for pregnant women to take.I am still taking my progestorones.

m doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme. we know there is nothing here to treat the cyst form of lyme but the Dr. didn't want to put me on any more medicines at this time.
s my sinus..I went to the dr the other day and I told him bout what was going on and he gave me cefdinir 300mg capsule and I been on them for 3 days and tonight I'm hurting really badly I have never been in so much pain and when I cough it hurts..does anyone know what this could be??
for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things. is the vertigo/dizziness normal with these infections and how long until I can expect some relief from this medication?

hey my 11 month old daughter was prescibed penicillin on saturday night. today she woke up with a huge red rash covering her body whoch the doctor seems to think is an allergic reaction but he wants me to keep an eye on the rash over the next 24 hours to be sure!! i just wanted to know how long this rash usually lasts for and if theres anything that can speed the process up?? its her first birthday on sunday and im really hoping she will be better and her rash will be gone for it!
I tested positive for Syphillis and my doctor gave me a shot of penicillin. The next day I felt my scrotum was on fire. I could not get the pain to stop, as the day continued, the pain got stronger. I took 3 Advils and went to sleep. This morning, I had a slight pain...could it be because of the shot?
I was not tested again for strep but was given cefdinir. I realize I am only day 3 but my throat hurts worse than it did to begin with. I'm having trouble swallowing and have a consistent stabbing pain in my throat. I just had first root canal #14 through dental crown. Endodonist said there was pus -- infection. I have had allergic reaction to Levaquin and AzitheraI and have had side effects diarrhea and lightheaded from Cefdinir and Cephalexin so he prescribed Cipro 500mg. Said he doesn't usually prescribe but given that it have taken Cipro 250mg in the past (or urinary tract infection with no side effects. Dear experts I have been diagnosed with syphilis primary and i am in remote location where the availability is only of Penicillin G Potassium 800000u tablets and have been asked to have them twice daily on empty stomach for 10 days. I just wanted to check if they really work as I read online generally Benzathine Penicillin is preferred medication. I dont trust the medicine department here as they are mostly ngo diven. Please help with following questions.
