1260320 tn?1270394906 Hi Jon, Thanks for your reply. I have not heard Benicar, so i'll google abt it later. I am recently put on candesartan but I have not taken it yet. I guess I m kinda scared of the side effects.
88793 tn?1290227177 Atacand HTC [candesartan + hydrochlorothiazide] may raise blood sugars. Consult with your pharmacist regarding Atacand drug interactions with ANY and ALL drugs/supplements/herbs/vitamins you are taking which may elevate blood sugars. If none exists consult with your doctor on switching to another bp medication.
Avatar n tn I get that dry cough too. I don't take an ACE inhibitor though, I don't think. Just Lopressor, Dyazide/Maxzide, Lipitor and aspirin for the heart issues. For me it started a couple of years ago one summer after pushing myself too hard. I start coughing out of the blue to the point of either just about passing out or vomiting mucus. Urgg My chest hurts and feels sunken in, pounds very hard and quivers sort of and then I'm fine till it happens again.
Avatar n tn It may be replaced with valsartan or candesartan which do not usually cause this side effect. The verapamil usually does not cause this side effect. This may not be related to your medications, and chronic cough or ' bronchial asthma' may actually be cardiac in nature ( e.g. CHF). Make sure your physician takes this other consideration into account.
Avatar f tn I suffer allergic reactions to blood pressure medications. Over a long period I have tried a huge number of different BP meds, and not found one that eventually didn't make me feel unwell. The most recent, Candesartan, lowered my BP in the first few days, but after that it gradually rose again to a point where my BP was way above normal levels and I was suffering severe chest pains..
Avatar n tn Personally, I take valsartan, but my friends have experienced similar success (or better) with candesartan, telmisartan, losartan (although this drug is surmountable and thus theoretically not the best one to take), irbesartan, and, for ACE inhibitors, perindopril.
336017 tn?1263579257 Some other ARBs and ACE inhibitors may work less effectively or not at all (some ARBs I know to be good - besides telmisartan - are valsartan, irbesartan, candesartan. Most of them are good EXCEPT for losartan, which is a surmountable antagonist and, theoretically, would lose its effect over time). Next fact: you need to take a high dose.
Avatar n tn You should inquire about taking high-dose angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB), such as candesartan. These drugs, which are commonly used to treat hypertension, also work to stabilize and in many cases reverse aortic enlargement WHEN TAKEN IN SUFFICIENTLY HIGH DOSAGES. For many people, the starting dose is the FDA-approved maximum. Sometimes the dose needs to be greater than the FDA-approved maximum.
Avatar f tn Depression? How can I handle this?
Avatar f tn I dont think its depression its just a part of pregnancy like i used to wear size 6 now i am size 10 and sometimes 12 its weird going from being really pretty to big and gross. well thats how i feel and the tired thing i so understand i took today off work just so i could sleep and im still laying in bed lol. im hoping it passes soon.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am 19 years old. I think I start to have depression when I was 10 years old. So currently it is already 9 years for me. Currently I am now studying in private college but I start to live by myself and didn't join any clubs. I graduated my diploma in 19 and within my college life, I didn't join any student clubs so when other people are enjoying, I feel like I am suffering.
1925822 tn?1333705617 Hi...it is something we all go thru post op...and as some have pointed out, they needed meds to help them thru this period....but, it is a stage in the recovery period that u should be hitting about now..... It is typical, and normal, just not easy....I tried to watch things on TV or the web that would make me laugh...Like Victor Borge...he is a funny man...always makes me laugh.... U also can be affected by the meds and drugs used during surgery....
