Can you break a rozerem in half

Common Questions and Answers about Can you break a rozerem in half

rozerem

Avatar f tn We can't advise you on dosing and encourage you to speak to the doctor you work with. Rozerem works by stimulating melatonin receptors in the body. It is non addictive and the only medication that is shown to be safe to use for six months of insomnia where as all of the other ones are generally expected to be used short term. Do you have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep after falling asleep or both?
Avatar f tn I have chronic insomnia amid anxiety disorder. Can I use Rozerem at a dosage of 16 mg if 8 mg will not help?
Avatar f tn Best to ask your doc this question, as that person has examined you and knows your full med history. Suggest continuing to work on your anxiety disorder and as you make progress expect your sleep to improve. Ask also about using a CBT sleep training program as a permanent, sustainable, and substance-free solution.
Avatar m tn Has anyone tried taking rozerem to help sleep when tapering? I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours. I know I just need some sleep!
Avatar m tn You can modify your diet plan with more of fibres, vegetables and fruits. Do not take heavy meals at night. Also you can do normal to moderate exercises in the evening and some aerobic exercises in the morning to get a good sleep. Wish you healthy and natural sleep.
Avatar n tn She also has a sleep disorder that we finally saw a pediatric sleep specialist for-- now she uses a blue spectrum light every morning. Occasionally, we use Rozerem 8mg (prescribed by the peds sleep specialist) --but only occasionally when we are unable to do her light therapy. Is there any connection between sleep disorders & early adrenarche? And is this adrenarche when it is only her axillary area involved?
Avatar m tn There have been concerns about the safety of melatonin from what I know so Rozerem being an FDA approved medication in that in works in the same manner but is a known quantity is a better option. I was precribed Rozerem a while back to use as needed and I do so responsibly but it hasn't been in a long time. It can if directed by a psychiatrist be used every day to work to adjust the sleep cycle and has been helpful for some people I know in that regard.
Avatar f tn honey, i would break them in half and wait until you start to feel the withdrawal symptoms begin, then try a half. you are going to have withdrawal. i have been off them for about a month and it was hard. i went to the doctor that was giving them to me. i brought him a copy of the thomas recipe(lower right of this page) and he prescribed me some valium to use for the first 5 days. i was on darvs for like 20 years taking about the same amount as you. if you want to pm me, please feel free.
Avatar n tn Have you tried Tylenol PM?? Some say that works. Sleep can be a real issue during wd's. I found a warm bath sometimes helped. It will get better.
Avatar m tn ve tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
Avatar f tn Trazodone or Rozerem but, in the end, none of them are a solution to insomnia because they don;t work well in the short term and stop working in the long-term. CBT is the only permanent, effective solution. Dr. Jacobs www.cbtforinsomnia.
Avatar m tn I take 40mg Lipitor. I was getting it thru a source that gave me 80mg to split. This was a BIG pill, and when split often felt pretty rough going down. I can imagine that some (wimps) would feel threatened by this. (Or, indeed MIGHT actually get in trouble with it.) I now get 40mg tab, and they are easier to swallow. But I vote for: $They get more for 90 40mg than for 45 80mg$.
5492154 tn?1374801006 t do anything to help me until 39 weeks!!! I was like are you kidding me!!!! Two and a half more weeks of constant contractions and you think that's manageable!!!
Avatar n tn I agree, methadone alone is killing ten people a month here in Michigan. My mom died from a combo like yours. Definately call a pharmacist or go to drugs.com-pill interaction search it's very detailed. Please be careful, and when the doctor says you need to get blood work done in two days, DO IT! It will save your life. It would have saved my Mom. Sorry, not being bossy I just want people to know how a pill can change your life forever! Good Luck!!!
Avatar f tn Are you being prescribed both? If you aren't, you shouldn't take meds you aren't prescribed. Even if they can be safely taken together, there may be something about one of them that harms you because of another condition you have. Belsomra comes in different doses. Maybe your doctor can increase the dose if the current one you take isn't working for you. Your doctor should know that a medication isn't working as expected, too.
Avatar f tn Just read a bit about it. It seems to be one of a new class of drugs that began in Europe that are basically looking at melatonin rather the usual suspects. But melatonin will only work well if the problem is your Circadian rhythms are off -- if your sleep problem is from another cause, this might not work. One thing about using melatonin is the dose -- most people take too much, thinking more is better.
Avatar m tn d just say that anything you take to help you sleep can become a habit, and this drug is much in the news these days for being used in ways it has not been studied for. Sleep is one of those. So I don't know if it's a problem, but the manufacturer is in deep doo doo right now over it. I'd recommend some homework on this one.
Avatar f tn If the pills have a break line in the middle, they can be cut in half. Remember that if you take only half the prescribed dose, the effect on your bp will also be lessened. In my opinion, 69 is not such a low heart rate that it requires medication change. Anyway, it is best to contact the doctor that prescribed the medication to discuss your plans.
1021912 tn?1251693068 Klonopin isn't a sleeping pill, it's an anti-anxiety medication. It's also not one to quit abruptly. It has to be tapered down slowly under the care of a psychiatrist. There are many things you can take for sleep, but if you don't solve the underlying reason for why you're so anxious at bedtime, you'll eventually get used to any of them. Are you in talk therapy to figure this out? And what dose of melatonin were you on? The best dose for you would probably be .5 mg.
741315 tn?1232458427 Ambien is not meant for everyday use as a sleeping aide as it can be addictive. Lunesta or Rozerem are two better choices. Rozerem works in the same manner as Melatonin and actually adjusts the sleep cycle. Those are some ideas to speak to your psychiatrist about.
Avatar m tn There are safer sleeping medications such as Lunesta and Rozerem. My concern about Trazadone is the fact that it can cause tardive dyskinesia. If you are not taking it for depression but as a sleep aid you might want to ask your psychiatrist about the two I mentioned. This link is from a psychiatric journal and lists all known medications that can cause tardive dyskinesia and Trazadone is clearly listed as one.
Avatar n tn it doesnt matter what position you are in If you Have unprotected sex you can get pregant. and even protected sex is not a certainty because condoms can break. take the morning after pill if you are worried *you have 72 hours to take the morning after pill for it to have any effect.
Avatar f tn That's rough. Here is my honest opinion. He's a boyfriend and not a husband. And if you don't want a sexless relationship, then I'd take this break, reevaluate and consider that this is not a match made in heaven. Sex isn't as important to him. And that all physical activity, not just intercourse, has stopped, you two are like friends. We date to figure out who we should be with long term.
Avatar f tn If he's willing to take on the responsibility I say go for it. If he treats you good then girl you found a gem with that one right there. That's what a guy should be like. My bf when I first met him my sin was a year and a half my bd was a piece of crap and my bf wasn't much for kids but after a couple months he fell in love with my son and has helped raise him for 4 years now. My son says he has two Dads. Its rare so you should give it a try.
Avatar n tn What I do is extract the active ingredient and turn it into powder form. Its really easy. you can google it. and then divide the powder into 2 equal parts and put it in capsules. If I take that the akathesia is pretty much gone for the day. That is like the last resort or the nuclear bomb arsonal against it, well legally anyway.
