I didn't realize that having a longer or shorter cycle effects ovulation.. My cycles were normal and regular came like every 30 days when do you ovulate if you have a regular 30 day cycle.. At my 8 week ultrasound my baby measured 7w6d so right in track but I'm due very soon and I have started dilating at 38 weeks but I know you can be dilated for a long time. I'm just curious as to if I should expect to have a later due date...
The reason for the confusion is, going by scan and lmp (the last i can recall) the scan means I conceived end of July/first week or so of August 2011 with my husband but he doesn't produce sperm any more. The only other sexual contact I had was the guy at the end of October, but if this were his baby then I would be more like 15/16 weeks along. That's a massive difference. Can the doctors scans be that wrong??

2 weeks of a difference is a big deal for a developing baby. Apperently knowing conception date is an oddity but yes I know exactly when I concieved. We were trying, we didn't have sex for days and days prior to ovulation, I have regular cycles and ovulate 14 days before my period (I confirmed this with an ovulation test) we did not have sex for days after ovulation (when ovulation test said I was no longer ovulating.

It dependa on how u r calculating it -are u calculating calendar or lunar months.calendar months is 9 months pregnancy ,easier to calculate by due date if ur due date is 14 may then every 14thof the month is a new month .if u r calculating lunar divide them by 4.pregnancy is 10 lumar months.
