Bumps under eyelids contacts

Common Questions and Answers about Bumps under eyelids contacts

Avatar f tn What causes bumps under your eyelids? I just went to the doctor and he said I have allergic conjunctivitis. My concern is that the eye drops I was prescribed is for three months. I was looking at the warnings and it said with corticosteroid medication there is a risk of glaucoma when using for a while. I'm always paranoid about anything with my eyes. I already have bad vision and wear contacts everyday.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from ear pain, ear pressure, sinus pressure around my eyes and nose, feel like I am in a daze, cannot wear contacts, puffy eyes, eyes sometimes feel bulgy, and bumps under my top eyelids. My family doctor kept telling me it was allergies and I was on a ton of medications. The medications made me sick, and I wanted to make sure it was allergies, so I went to an allergist. The allergist told me I have absolutely no allergies. Now I was stunned.
Avatar n tn Woke up one morning with my eyes were swollen shut and crusted over and extremely red eyelids, under the eyes and flaking even above my eyebrows. I went to the Dr that day and he diagnosed me with Blepharitis and prescribed Tobramycin/Dexamethasone eye drops ($48 for a very, very small bottle which I was told to throw away after my 3 day dosage) for 3 days only. He also advised me to use Cortizone 10. After 3 days my eyes cleared up and I was able to wear make-up again.
Avatar n tn I woke up today and it feels scratchy under my eyelids...upon lifting the upper lid up I noticed that the white of my eye looks ripply or bumpy. What could this be?
Avatar n tn I have the same problem as this red swollen itchy eyelids. Don't have allergies like this. I do wear contacts--why would they cause this? I haven't been wearing the contacts for days now....
Avatar n tn My 17 year old son started having dry, red, itchy eyelids and under the eye this fall. I assumed it was allergy but cant pinpoint it. My first step was a baking soda and water mixture to make sure the skin has an alkaline PH since any irritated skin would not have an alkaline base. This helped. He also put aloe vera lotion at night. That worked but then he started basketball practice and everyday after practice it would flare up big time...
Avatar n tn This never failed to cause a big reaction in my eyes with such swollen eyelids, red itchy under my eyes and prominate wrinkles that I would not ordinarilly have. I quit using anything with that ingredient in it but have started having a reaction again. I'm guessing it might be a new liquid eye liner I'm using so, I'm eliminating that for a while to see if that helps. I also notice this is more severe when I first wake up and somewhat diminishes throughout the day.
Avatar n tn Hi kiki4me! I know you posted this in 2009. I was diagnosed with GPC about 3 weeks ago :( I have small eyes and small eyelids. I have swollen eyelids that seem to disappear when I wake up but after awhile it will droop or become thick and heavy. It is very frustrating! I look tired all the time and having bigger eyelids don't suit me! I was wondering how long did it take for your swelling to go down?! Also my doctor told me to use Zaditor.
Avatar n tn It felt as though there may be a tiny grain of sand or dirt lodge under my eyelids. When I try to rub my eyes to possibly remove the object, the irritation became stronger. And when the contact is in, it rubs against the object and the irritation become so discomforting that I must remove the contact promptly. Can you tell me if this irritation is from a possible protein build-up under my eyelids? If so, how can I get rid of it? Thanks.
755712 tn?1233792074 I have in the past had small bumps on the inside of my eyelid which were apparently from my contacts...this was treated and also mentioned at my most current appointment (he did not see this at the time). Also, I've had scratched cornea's on another occasion....this was also mentioned and again this did not seem to be a problem at the time. I would like some feedback on what I need to do. I would like to wear my contacts again....but want it to be comfortable.
Avatar f tn My eyes are always red and feel as if I have something in them (which is the bumps under my eyelids). Does anyone know what I can do about this. I've been to so many eye Dr's. and I cannot get them cleared up. I used to wear contact lenses and now I can no longer wear them. It has been almost 5 years since I was able to wear my contacts. Some Dr's. want to give me steriod drops, but I do not want to put them in my eyes. I believe their is an alternative to steroids.
Avatar n tn However, these infected bumps can also form under the eyelid, in which case they are known as internal. Internal infections can be very painful, and they can cause temporary damage to the cornea by being dragged across it every time the eye is closed or opened. Whether a sty is external or internal, it is a good idea to avoid the use of contacts and eye makeup until it is healed, to reduce the risk of exacerbating the irritation. Let us know if you need any other information. Regards.
Avatar n tn Hello Doctor I got GPC on my left eye when I overused my contacts and I was on Lotemax for about 2 months, the bumps went away but I still have problems on my left eye. its usually redder than my right eye and my upper eyelid gets itchy and swollen randomly time to time, I tried Allaway but it didn't help, I also use a lot of Artificial tears and Gels so I'm sure its not from dryness.
Avatar f tn I had my third opinion today - she said that it's definitely GPC, mild stage, and I have papillaries under both my eyelids. Since it's mild, she recommended using Zapitor twice daily, indefinitely, and trying contact lenses in a week or so. I do have a ptosis of 2 mm; she said that it may get better as the GPC resolves. Any opinion on the ptosis? It's bumming me out!
Avatar f tn My eyelid has been itching and swelling for about 2 or 3 days now, it is only the lower eye lid, the skin underneath my eyeball. It looks like there could be bumps under there, almost a yellowish color, but hard to tell because it's mostly slightly red. I don't know if any clear fluid was coming from it or from my eye and when I pushed it to itch it that's when I saw a tiny amount of fluid.
Avatar n tn s it was probably just irritation (from sleeping in contacts). This made sense, until this morning! I did not sleep in my contacts last night! Any ideas? I usually take Benadryl throughout the day and sleep it off and it goes away within 12 hours.
599170 tn?1300977493 I used to get really bad flaky skin on my eyelids and brows. Was to do with my eye makeup! So I no longer use that brand and voila! No more flaky eyelids/brows! Yours might be something else though. Could be the thyroid issues.
358258 tn?1197408877 She was very nearsighted before but I know that even with contacts her right eye's vision was still blurry. As a matter of fact we just went to the eye doctor today and he said her right eye was much worse. She has 20/2400 vision and perfect vision is 20/20! Your eye problems more than likely has nothing to do with your eye makeup or anything else but Crohn's. Google Crohn's effect on vision and maybe you will get some answers. Crohn's is an autoimmune disease.
534785 tn?1329595808 3), most of my face flushed dark red out to my ears, a rash down my neck spreading across my chest and down to my forearms, headache and head pressure, lightheaded feeling/heavy head if that makes sense, full body tremor most noticeable in my hands, swollen and painful joints, mainly in my hands, edema in my legs, abdominal pain that is mainly soreness under my lower left ribs and sometimes pain under my lower right ribs too, and a lump in my throat to accompany neck swelling and tightness.
694979 tn?1232316978 i couldnt where contacts and my vision was blurred, and doubled sometimes. its better now and i can wear contacts again but my eyelid is still swollen and my eyes are always dry. as for fibro, i dont know it may be what i have but the way the doc mmade it sound was as a last resort. if that is what i have then i need proof. he hardly did any tests on me, and threw out some of my symptoms as nothing important.
Avatar m tn Its been putting me down a lot then turning into depression because I can't wear short sleeves or shorts in public without someone noticing i have multiple scabs, bumps, blemishes going everywhere and questioning me about it. I hate this because I thought it was nothing at first, but when I started noticing marks, scars, bumps and never healing scabs that were left after picking or messing with, its become embarrassing. I miss having a clear/clean body and face, but its like a urge to me.
472570 tn?1274689487 The itch was excrutiating and when I scratched my head they got under my fingernails. My fingers looked like sausages from all the bites and I took a look in the mirror and my eyes and lips were horribly swollen with red splotches on my face. I couldnt see any of these biters, even with that many. The itch lasts several minutes and the swelling was gone by morning when they departed. I've had to close up my home to keep them out after spraying bug spray and washing the curtains.

Avatar n tn I lost 25lbs over 6 years ago and toned my arms up completely as I go to the gym faithfully. Why is this happening?? My arms under my biceps have dropped dramatically, to the point where I am covering up my arms. My veins bulge all the time....I'm panicked...my skin is so loose. I just want to curl up in bed and cry and cry.
Avatar f tn At best I'm 6 or 7 pounds over my ideal weight but this started being a problem ages ago when I was 10 or so pounds under my prime weight. Even moving the jaw several millimeters is apparently enough to open the airway to eliminate apnea. I did talk to a CPAP specialist and she said CPAP helps, but the surgery is the cure. Well, in my case, it should have been, but I trusted a hack, so now everything is worse. I wont lie to you, its a tough surgery.
