t want to take my rescue inhaler all the time because it gives me wicked muscle cramps and makes me loopy and really tired. I also take 400umg of pulmicort twice a day. Is there anything I should do; call my doctor, up my pulmicort dose or just wait the weather out? Thanks for the input.

I am about to just stop everything and let her just live her life with her favorite foods, no meds, and hope for the best . It is wearing us both out. All I want is her to be happy and not have to eat z/d and fight with her every day with meds. Am I a horrible mom????? Really?

t be the problem and pulmicort is a powder. I remember when i was younger that the powder ventolin I had made me cough, so now I take the spray.

hi, my question is can we mix albuterol, ipratropium, pulmacort together and the order is give these medication together by nebulizer.

I had a month or so on Entecort (budesonide here in England) but had a severe rectal haemorrhage and was hospitalised on IV steroids and needed blood transfusions. I don't think my gastro in England, who prescribed it, at the time realised that Entecort only works in the small intestine, and I had Pan Crohn's Colitis. As I had stopped prednisone to go onto budesonide, I had no protection in the colon, hence the flare.

I am already using 800mcg of pulmicort a day and even at that level it has been giving me muscle cramps and messing up my period, so I don't want to increase it. Any comments? Or things I could try?

s been hospitalized a few times with bronchiolitis when he was 1 years old. The typical treatment has been 2ce a day pulmicort and 3xs a day to every 4 hours of albuterol. If that didn't work they would add predisone and sometimes zithromax. And those combos knocked it out. Well he now has 3 weeks of a rattling cough that just doesn't go away. They said no wheeze and we've been doing the pulmicort and albuterol. Well it isnt' helping. So the ped feels we'll add Singulair.

I've recently been diagnosed with asthma and was prescribed ventolin and budesonide inhalers. After a few days of suffering side effects and getting much worse I went back to the doctor and he confirmed that I am allergic to budesonide, which he said is quite unusual. He prescribed me atrovent but from what I understand it is usually a substitute for ventolin not steroids.

Advair diskus 250 was lasting two weeks for (4 puffs a day) and pulmicort for $15 more, had 200 doses and I was only using 2 a day because it was 400ug instead of 250. The best is to go and ask a pharmicist to look up the prices for you.

Over that period I have tried different combinations of Prednisolone, Budesonide, Salazopyrin, Singulair and Colpermin, all with limited success. Presently, I am taking Budesonide (9mg daily) and Salazopyrin (150mg daily). Whilst this allows me to function normally (i.e. normal bowel movements) I have discomfort, bloating and cramping all day, every day. I just had an HIV Antibody Test and an HIV DNA PCR test done. They both came back negative. I have cystic fibrosis and was wondering if the fact that I have CF, can it affect the results of the HIV Antibody Test? Or the HIV DNA PCR test? Also, I was inhaling Pulmicort (a cortcosial steroid), through a nebulizer for my lungs. I was only on it for 5 days and it was about two weeks before I was tested for HIV. Can that affect these tests too? Please let me know. Thank You very much.

t work for me, even at the highest dose. i got put on pulmicort and foradil that did wonders for me and last month i got put on symbicort which is a combo of the pulmicort and foradil. Maybe symbicort would not cause you these symptoms?

s flare, severe nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss of 18 lbs in last 6 weeks,steatorrhea, pain in mid chest and right upper quadrant. Had CT scan 2 weeks ago which showed significant inflammation in terminal ileum and old pancreatitis with calcification. Gastroscopy last week showed oesphagitis.Biopsies taken. MRI scan Nov 2007 showed two strictures in small intestine. Gastro has advised following until I see him in clinic 23 July: Double my mtx injections to 25 mg weekly.

I'm sorry, I re read your post and realized that my response isn't what you asked. I apologize. No, I have not been in that situation. I had the breathing trouble, but not the prednisone or the abnormal bloodwork.. Except that I am now anemic. It probably has nothing to do with the asthma medicine though.
