684175 tn?1295477838 Have your trainer show you a full training routine during your session .. and then over your next visits do not use the trainer .. do the routine yourself. Have them write it down ... what machines, how many reps, how many sets, etc. Then .. when you're comfortable with that and you have learned all that .. then ask for another complete full training routine. This will help you get comfortable with your routines and learn what you are doing by repetition ..
628190 tn?1269018507 Im not a personal trainer either, but If you stick with the community we are pretty well put together people. very supportive and very easy to talk to. I think that if you give it a try you would like it here.
Avatar m tn So I've had this problem since the first time I had sex. The first time was a fail, so I tried the next day with her to get it up. I did get it up but I'd say only about 70% up. I was embarrassed. Well, now two years later I am 20 years old, I work out regularly in the gym, I run and mountain bike (haven't been outside for couple weeks). With me being in shape and being young I find it hard to have "ED". I think it's more of Anxiety.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the support and encouragement! I've gone twice this week, have my third appointment tomorrow - can't wait! Jdesousa - thanks I'm already happy! Suri123 - You are so right. I considered the bootcamp at this same place (about a third of the cost) but the times didn't work in my schedule... Marissposa - I will be HAPPY to tell you anything you want to know. Their main plan is circuit training because I want to lose weight.
Avatar m tn The extent of the relationship can cause a break up to be short and sweet. And some people have a hard time dealing with other people's emotions and just break it off abruptly and quickly to deal with as little of that as possible. Going through a difficult time is a test to a relationship. Very many will NOT survive a tough time. Not all relationships are meant to last and we date to learn these things about people. Maybe if someone is very emotional, depressed, etc.
Avatar f tn I work very hard at the gym, even other personal trainers have said to my personal trainer that I work extremely hard. I've changed my diet, I've cut out carbs and sugar. I eat mainly meat and veg and salad. My stats were checked when I started and they were recently checked again. My lung power has increased massively, my blood pressure was high and now is perfect, my pulse has also improved greatly. However in this time I have only lost 1 inch off most places and 2 inch of my chest.
Avatar f tn Don't know enough about you to say. If your pain and limitations are your main problem, a physical therapist. If you're doing well and you can do what you want to do without pain, either do whatever you want to do for exercise or if you really want to see a personal trainer.
4165464 tn?1384457741 You and your husband just needs to talk and try differ positions to see what works for youguys but if it doesn't feel right them some one needs to speak up. This is or 4 child and my hubbywas always scared to hurt but if it hurts me I tell him right away and we change and its all good lol.
Avatar n tn It is not strange for your body to throw up after pushing your body hard. One thing I was advised was whenever I felt like I was going to throw up to stop and rest and then start again. As I have mentioned no 2 people are the same, and there could be other factors and reasons for one feeling sick while working out. Some people get sick during workouts due to supplements being taken. I had a friend who vomited all the time.
Avatar m tn the ex hired a personal trainer for him and this guy is one of those guys who is extreme, however the ex feels that it’s good to push my son to his limits (remember he’s only 13). Here is a little info on what I have found out on the trainer he claims he is certified USAW sports performance coach (being in gyms my whole adult life, I here this guy is a compulsive liar, so he might not even attended this certification). After looking this up to be USAW certified is only a 3 day training.
Avatar f tn t know if you worked up your own regimen or if you had a personal trainer help you but one of the first things i would do is just stop by any of the larger gyms in your area and talk to a personal trainer and tell them what your work out consists of and what you are feeling and let them recommend a better and different way to keep your body in great shape.
Avatar f tn pain, range of motion, strength, how it was riding your horse, ect. If your doctor does not know how you are doing currently, he/she can not make an accurate decision of what is best for you now. He/she can only go off the last information given, which could be your initial doctor's visit. My suggestion is: if you haven't already, talk to your doctor about your progress and ask what the best course of action is.
605439 tn?1220120190 Hey ladies! I jus wanted to give yall a heads up. I just got certified as a personal trainer and in sports nutrition & learned something very intestering about vitamins. This is for any of you who are taking vitamins due to infertility issues & that also includes your DH. For example, my dh suffers from MIF issues so i have him on a regimen of vitamins to help w/ the SA results cuz we've been ttc for 6yrs now.

Avatar n tn About 4 years ago, I was overworked by a personal trainer in the gym and ended up in the hospital for 5 days due to Rhabdomyolysis. I had never heard of this disease before this day. Turns out the trainer overworked me. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of exercise since then. I've dabbled with it over the past few years.
Avatar f tn It's extremely healthy to exercise when pregnant. I'm a personal trainer myself and you can get all those workout videos and crazy diet programs but all you need are three things: simple workout regimen, healthy lifestyle (dieting and normal daily activities) and rest! Now when I say dieting that doesn't mean only eat chicken and rice. You can eat just don't overdo it. Now don't go exercising and then eat wackarnolds right after. That does nothing.
Avatar f tn I have the hardest time when i try and fall asleep. How did all of you get through your break up/ heart breaks in a positive way?
Avatar m tn something like if you wake up at 3 or 4 its your lungs holding greif, meaning your grefing over something or someone. i was told so much of those throughout the hours of the night but i cant remember them all. i was also told its best if you dont have any direct light to the eyes 2 hrs before bed. no lights no tv all taht stuff. read with the candle light. or listen to music. all these little things contribute to a good night sleep and how you feel thenext morning.
8924846 tn?1410572901 I'm considering leaving my bf. He is not the father of my baby, but wants to be since he is sterile and the actual father doesn't want to be involved. We dated on and off for a few years and I got pregnant while we were broken up and got back together before I found out. I had no plans of getting back with him it just kind of happened. I've been trying to convince myself I'm happy, because I know how excited him and his family are and I don't want a messy break up.
Avatar f tn There are no experts on this forum. We're just folks like you. We can offer things from our experience, but not many people use this forum and again, nobody on here is an expert. The internet is a wilderness. It can be very useful when you have a diagnosis, but without one we have no idea what's going on and neither do you. It sounds like you love your trainer, and that's great.
Avatar m tn Take it up with Medhelp. It is prominently displayed that this forum is unmoderated. That means if anybody posting has doubts about the information given, they should of course check with their own health care provider. What are my cridentionals[sic]? I'm not in the medical profession, if that is what you are asking. I have a professional (postgraduate) degree, however.
Business woman1 I advise my patients with similar complaints to start low intensity muscle toning (reps using 15-20 lbs 3 days a week) and upper body aerobic exercise 1-2x weekly (ie swimming, eliptical). Hiring a personal trainer may also give you the structure and guidance that will help you achieve your goal but without sustaining an injury. But the results can be slow (ie 3-6 months) Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn Find a gym with a personal trainer is one way. Or find a personal trainer who will come to your house. It is important to work out the right way so that you build the right muscles in balance with the others.
Business woman2 My patients are usually successful with increasing weight training and increased protein/calorie intake to match output. A good personal trainer should be able to advise you on a proper diet and weight training schedule. Good luck!
Avatar n tn I also wonder about your need for a personal gym trainer and building muscle at this stage of your life, depending upon your overall health and whether you have been athletic and physically active in the past.

Avatar f tn m losing weight, work w/a personal trainer two days a week, do water exercises 2-3 times a week, walk, bike ride, and generally stay active every day. Thanks in advance for your response.
Avatar f tn Hi. I have spina bifilar and very limited feeling in my lower legs and feet, earlier my foot slipped of the kerb whilst I was getting into my car. I heard a noise but cannot say if it was my trainer or a snap. It didn't hurt at the time and I have walked round the supermarket but felt it swelling and it feels strange. Now home and I have my foot and leg elevated and it has started to hurt around my ankle and up my leg. No real swell or bruise so unsure what to do.
