717272 tn?1277590780 I cannot start the day without my newspaper. About midway thru tx, they started piling up and I would try to get caught up. My new rule is....if I don't read immediately, into the recycle bin. Defo staying with the simple stuff. After EOT, I'll have a 6 month break after this semester, before nursing starts....I'll need the time to clear the fog, lol!!
202665 tn?1248806733 I've been trying to read some books to give me a clue. Thought I would just share and would love to hear of any others folks have read: Laughing in the dark: a comedian's journey through depression - Chondra Pierce BiPolar for Dummies (I know, bad title..but an OK book) The Bipolar Disorder Answer Book: Professional Answers to More than 275 top questions - Charles Atkins, M.D.
1960480 tn?1342315266 m not sure about any others, but I love to read and would like to hear about some other books.
777052 tn?1333504781 I will not lend my books to anyone. At all. When I've let friends borrow my books in the past they have either returned it a year later, spilled food on it, gotten pencil/pen or some other non removable mark on it, or what bugs me the most is folding the cover back. I'm 100% sure I'm just OCD about this but I can't help it! The other day a friend asked if I had a book which I did so I replied yes.
1117137 tn?1345227905 I guess I am the oddball cuz I am stuck on books like the series from Charlene Harris (True Blood), The Vampire Diaries, Twilight series, anything John Saul and Stephen King and any type of mystery or romance I can get my hands on. I will have to look some of the books up you all mentioned tho..they sound interesting.
8924846 tn?1410572901 I'm considering leaving my bf. He is not the father of my baby, but wants to be since he is sterile and the actual father doesn't want to be involved. We dated on and off for a few years and I got pregnant while we were broken up and got back together before I found out. I had no plans of getting back with him it just kind of happened. I've been trying to convince myself I'm happy, because I know how excited him and his family are and I don't want a messy break up.
Avatar f tn Hi there, So, you are having a baby with him, is that right? Are you both teenagers? Lots of big things coming your way very soon. Are you living with his parents too or are you are with yours and he's with his? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to understand. Do you have any support from your own family? On the surface, I think it is smart to expect certain things out of the father of our children.
Avatar m tn I have tried a few times not to talk to her and each time i end up failing and messaging her. BUt everytime I do i just end up crying and in more pain. So you are right I do need to just leave her be. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I have the hardest time when i try and fall asleep. How did all of you get through your break up/ heart breaks in a positive way?
4411499 tn?1356051765 I have that book. Bought it the second i found out i was preggers. its a great pregnancy guide in my opinion.
Avatar f tn I ALWAYS think something is wrong with me!! Every ache, every minor pain = ILLNESS. I can't seem to break the cycle of thinking that way. I've had this for years but it seems to be getting worse. Too nervous to take medication because of the possible side-effects. Trying some cognitive therapy but no real improvement from that. It's pretty much all day, every day with moments of feeling ok and not be overly anxious about it.
Avatar f tn Up the duff by Kaz Cooke is a great lighthearted read, doesnt scare you with the 'what ifs' like many other books do. And you get a bit of a giggle out of it. Its one to go through week by week.
Avatar f tn Look up some pregnancy books by Ina May Gaskins....she's an amazing natural-and-hospital birth advocate. she leans way more towards natural birthing, but she doesn't pooh-pooh the hospital births like many midwife-authors do. As for baby books...I'd avoid the baby books to be perfectly honest!
1592423 tn?1297648762 Can anyone recommend some good books to read while getting through this first month???? Thanks so much!
Avatar f tn Im a first time mom wondering if there are any books out there that really helped you guys understand things that are going on?
