Avatar n tn I am a 25 year old female. I was diagnosed with a primary brain tumor in June 2008 and underwent surgery to remove it. It was the size of an apple and diagnosed a grade 2 tumor. It grew back in September 2008 and that's when i began rigorous radiation and oral chemotherapy (Temozolomide). My recent MRI has showed the regrowth of the tumor to be "gone." The plan is to take the Temozolomide for 2 years along with Accutane (which helps the oral chemotherapy work better).
Avatar n tn My father is a patient of Grade 4 Brain Tumor (GBM) in his left parietal lobe He is surviving from past 5 years 8 months. 1) He underwent for a surgery on August 2002. Doctor told he was not able to remove the total tumor. 2) After 1 month in September last week of 2002 he started Radiations using Linear Accelerator. He had 33 Radiations along with 100 mg Temodal (Temozolomide). He used to take the capsule 1 hour before the radiation.

12807846 tn?1427329550 Hi there, I'm not exactly sure what she could mean by 'brain shaking', the brain doesn't actually tremor, so it's difficult to come up with what she could be trying to describe, although It's possible her 'perception' of this sensation is the issue because her brain isn't really shaking inside her skull.

12501326 tn?1485674228 This is what my Chiari sisters said on my FB group site and were correct. They also mentioned my cerebellum tonsils may be growing into my cerebellum. After all that I have a few questions: 1. Does anyone know who the best Chiari Surgeon in the US is? 2. What are the symptoms of brain slumping? 3. Are there any warning signs that it could be fatal? 4. Can some insurances provide nursing care and assistance at home before and after surgery? Thank you for any help on these questions.
Avatar n tn A close family member was told by his nuerologist "the memory part of brain is shrinking on both sides". He then set up an appointment with a sychiatrist. My question is why a sychiatrist.

Avatar f tn He has suffered significant damage to the whole left side of his brain and moderate damage to parts of the right side of the brain. Areas of speech, cognitive function, memory, and language were severely damaged. He cannot talk. I have hope for recovery as the doctors have said he is doing more than his CT and MRI show he should do and they seem very hopefula as do I. They have always said they cannot say what he will be able to do and not.
Avatar f tn Hi. I hope this is the right place to post, as this is the first time I've used this website. A few months ago, I had a strange episode where I felt very unwell. I had nausea, vertigo, slight confusion and a feeling of pressure in my head, a bit like sinus pain.
Avatar n tn My husband is suffering from headaches and we all know, the meningiomas are there, particularly the large one that put enough pressure against his brain to cause the seizure to begin with. On top of everything, I'm 6 months pregnant and can't eat, sleep or do anything b/c this is so devastating. I know this is short term but I'm just hoping and praying we get a surgery date and that after, he doesn't experience any more seizures or recurrance of tumors.
7684852 tn?1437171892 You may need to get out to a group meeting. If you think it's depression there are free support groups thru NAMI web site. Or it could be you're experiencing normal withdrawals that are giving you the blah's. The physical weakness is common. Mentally your brain needs to start producing it's own internal juice again.
Avatar m tn one more question - I understand from reading that there are acctualy 2 arteries that supply oxgynen to the brain and that the are limked together in the brain, does it mean that if only one side is blocked then the brain can still get the oxgygen that it beeds from the other side ? and if so, than why to make an intervention ?

So, again, Is Brain Fog part of hypothyroidism? and if so What is Brain Fog? just in case it is something different from the ear problem "brain fog".
Avatar m tn Researchers at Tufts University in Boston wanted to examine the effects of walnuts a nut rich in omega-3s on the accumulation of polyubiquitinated proteins in the brain. This substance is the hallmark of many age-related neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, and it accumulates in our brains as we age. In this study, researchers used 45 male rats, aged 19 months, and divided them equally into three diet groups. control, 6 percent walnut and 9 percent walnut.
1571730 tn?1314725245 I guess I have an emregancy visit to the high risk doctor. My baby may not be saveable. They are not sure if the brain is forming or it is even forming a brain. I heard it's heart beat last week, and saw it move, I know that can happen and still be lost cause. But why me?
