Avatar f tn Is boniva a possible cause of papilloma virus on the eyelid going into the conjunctiva? This discussion is related to uveitis of the eye caused by Boniva.
Avatar f tn Bisphosphonates like Boniva have been associated rarely with uveitis. You would experience ocular pain, blurred vision, light sensitivity, loss of vision and possibly glaucoma if you had uveitis. Your ophthalmologist would be able to tell you right away if you had any uveitis and the Boniva could be discontinued if that were the case.
Avatar f tn Sorry I don't have Kaiser health insurance, maybe someone else here does, but those prices sound about right. Those are your "co-pay costs", the "actual cost" is thousands of dollars per month as you have heard. I had Blue Cross of California during treatment and my co-pay cost were similar to the prices you quoted.
Avatar f tn I noted that for the last several months whenever I took Boniva I had significant swelling under both eyes. Thus, when this past Sunday, 5/23 I developed the papilloma on my left lower eyelid (center) which at first seemed to have a point on top & next day became more elongated I thought Boniva. I would appreciate any feedback as to cause & what possible treatment. It, not very large & seems to be same size this first week.
148588 tn?1465778809 At $1,000-per-pill, Sovaldi is priced 1,100% more than Gilead’s most expensive AIDS drug, Stribild, its four-in-one AIDS drug combination, which was priced at $80 per pill a year ago when it came to market,” said Michael Weinstein, President of AIDS Healthcare Foundation. “At that time, Stribild’s price was 35% more than Atripla, the company’s best selling combination HIV/AIDS treatment, and made Stribild the highest priced first-line combination AIDS therapy.
1722607 tn?1335747858 That's similar to my husband's cost. I think his copay each month for triple with Inc. was about $85. Last year, in treatment #2, I think his copays for Neupogen and Procrit, when he needed them, were about $30 each for the month.
212161 tn?1599427282 does anyone take Boniva and how bad were the side effects
Avatar f tn I live n GA and have United Healthcare, it covers unlimited IUI's and 2 IVF cycles per year (but that doesn't include medicine) and there are still "co pays" for doctors visits and procedures. I would check around and see what your state offers.
Avatar f tn i pay 300 per month in copays for treatment. Each injectable is 100 per month and I'm on 3. 700 is pretty steep but that's the way things are going in healthcare. A year ago my co pay on neupogen was 45 a month.
Avatar n tn The drug costs less on an absolute basis than Incivek (~$100,000 per year), which is reimbursed without question, and is an even better deal if one applies a “cost per cure” methodology (A recent Mt. Sinai study shows a $189,000 cost per cure for Incivek-containing regimens.) Moreover, remember that the government pays nowhere near list price; Medicaid receives a mandatory 23.
366262 tn?1360031596 I think it depends on your plan. Some plans covere the cost completely for up to 2 IVF per year. Some only cover 50%. Usually in RE's office there is someone in charge of the payment plans, who you can talk to. I am sure they have some sort of arranegements. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn My drug coverage is 34.00 a month with a 325.00 deductible. With max out pocket of 5500.00 per year. but with out this drug coverage it would have run around 50,000. without any other unforeseen medication.
Avatar f tn The technician looked at my med list and asked if I am taking Boniva and Synthroid. I answered yes. I take other meds other than those two she mentioned. I told her that I understood why she asked about the Boniva but I didn't understand why she asked about Synthroid. She told me that thyroid meds take from the bones and causes osteoporosis. WHAT??? How come no doctor ever told me?
572651 tn?1530999357 Currently I pay $50 per year for our provincial health plan and they pay $800 per month and my insurance at work pays the other $1200 per month. The irony is that our provincial health plan is changing in 2015 and because I earn higher than they will allow starting at that time, I will no longer qualify so my insurance at work will have to cover it. They will charge me up to $60 per month.
Avatar n tn They are given generally prescribed orally and include Fosamax, Actonel and Boniva. They can cause some severe stomach distress as they did for my father. When this happens there are injectable forms of bisphosphonates. Ibandronate (Boniva injection) is injected into your vein once every three months, and zoledronic acid (Reclast) is injected once a year. If approved by your physician these treatments do not cause stomach distress and you do not have to remember to take a tablet.
Avatar f tn I developed osteoporosis (only 52) and my gyno-onc had me see an endocrinologist. I now take Boniva- once monthly plus a mult-vit, calcium, and vit-D twice a day. My last scan showed improvement. He wanted me to go on hormone replacement but my gyno-onc would not hear of it.
746512 tn?1388807580 What are some cheaper options for inhaled cortosterioids? I technically do not have asthma, but reactive airways instead. However this could just be due to the lack of consistency in my test results to point at asthma. I am trying advair 250/50 right now, and it has improved my symptoms 90% within an hour of the first dose (minus one very stressful day that sucked and I couldn't breathe).
5079728 tn?1365549989 It is going to cost a lot so be ready for that...I looked back and saw that you have hep c so I assume that is what you would be treating for, I would need to know what co-pay etc with insurance company is, what type of meds will you be doing length of tx (treatment) etc.... If you are doing the triple tx with incivek go to incivek.
Avatar f tn extremely swollen right leg especially around knee joint - could not even bend knee, terrible hip pain and two days later a tooth abscess. What are the chances I can tolerate Boniva once a month? My Endocrinologist wants me to try it.
Avatar f tn Hello! Clomid is relatively inexpensive. I think it's about $60 or so per month. The HSG shot is also $60 or so. IUI should cost ~$300.00. The other costs will be associated with blood tests and ultrasounds, though somehow my RE billed all that through insurance under PCOS. It started costing me quite a bit of money when I did an injectible cycle. That was a flat rate of $1300, plus $300 for the IUI, plus another $1200 or so for the medication. Ouch.
Avatar n tn The average cost of lip augmentation for injectables is a little over three hundred dollars per session. The average cost of lip augmentation for non-injectables is approximately $1,325 per lip. Still it sthe cost from teh hospitals in my ranger - i cannot say what might the hospital demand at your site, but must be around these.
Avatar m tn From my personal experience, I can tell you it cost about USD 2800 per dose, back in Kerala, India. If i remember right, the bottle said INR 130,000. Yes, an insane price, one which makes no sense. I wish you well, good luck.
