Bimatoprost eye drops

Common Questions and Answers about Bimatoprost eye drops

lumigan

Avatar m tn Lumigan is a glaucoma medication that is put directly on the eye. Latisse is the same medication, different packaging for eyelash growth and it is painted on the eyelashes with a brush. I suppose the study that was completed 12/31/09 for growing eyelashes was only done on upper lid eyelashes. Then that's all that the FDA will allow them to say.
Avatar n tn I have been using Latisse for about 4 years, but I only apply it on the top edge of my lashes and I have had no side effects from using it (much to the frustration of many friends whose eyes get all red and puffy). Eye doc said his research indicated there were no side effects related to the sclera. I tried going simple - with Visine. no help. I've been using Systane 3-4 times daily for about 2 months and that has not made a change either. I do not wear contacts.
Avatar m tn Hi l have been taking Azarga eye drops ( Timolol and Brinzolamide0 for 8 years twice a day with not much side effects except some dry eye, but recently it stopped being as effective in lowering the pressure so my eye specialist also put me on Travatan also ( Travoprost ) so l am now taking azarga twice a day and travatan one a day, the additional travatan has been successful in lowering my presssure but taking all these drops making my eyes more dry and slightly sore.
12845664 tn?1427483649 I am using Lumigan (bimatoprost) 0.01% nightly. Cost under my Medicare coverage is pretty high (deductible plus copay). Bimatoprost 0.03% is now available as a generic. What potential problems am I inviting by asking my ophthalmologist to switch prescriptions and start using the 0.03%?
Avatar f tn My eyes are watering and itching so bad and super sensitive to light. Is there over the counter eye drops that are safe for pregnant people to use?
Avatar f tn I recommend you to visit your doctor's clinic to get detailed information about how to take acular eye drops & its dosage. A specialist in eye caring will going to suggest you in better way.
Avatar n tn I have been trying different eye drops for my dry eyes and the irritation. I am on prescription antibiotics as well but for inbetween. I have tried systane, thera tears, natural tears and my doc gave me optive which has perservatives and the others don't but tried them now. Does anyone find one brand better then others and is there issues with using the preservative ones? He said it was fine to use 4 times a day.
Avatar m tn I just had eye surgery. Doctor prescribed 3 different eye drop medicines for a week. Can anyone tell me what each are for? A friend told me some were dangerous to my eye? Is this true?
Avatar m tn I have been using over the counter eye drops (namely, Opcon A) daily for a few years in order to combat my red eyes. With constant use, I have noticed that they do not work nearly as well anymore, and that my eyes are redder than ever. I read into the subject and have learned that with prolonged use, your eye becomes more dependent on the drops and does in fact become redder. Every morning I wake up with eyes that are extremely bloodshot red and uncomfortable.
Avatar m tn Hello doctor thank you for helping me with my question, one more thing [smile] this is really bothering me how come the doctors could not tell that i had eye dialation drops in my eye, why cant a doctor tell the difference between a blown pupil and a dialated pupil on drops thanks so much
8464451 tn?1409883976 Just regular saline eye drops like a visine are fine. I'd just stay away from anything medicated until you talk to your Dr.
Avatar m tn i may have taken ofloxacin and prednisolone eye drops in my eye 5 times in a day instead of the 4 times like i was supposed to do.will it cause any harm?
Avatar m tn Please note that I had briefly experimented with the carnosine drops alone, but find that they work much better if you also use MSM drops. MSM serves to make the eye structures more elastic and permeable.
Avatar f tn A few hours after using Brochlor eye drops to treat conjunctivitis I have completely lost my taste and sense of smell. I don't have a cold or blocked nose. Is this normal as side effect not stated. Will this last a long time? Am I damaging something by using drops? Thank you.
Avatar n tn i suffer from vernal keratoconjunctivitis in my right eye. This year, i have been given steroid eye drops a couple of times. Previously, no doctors give me that. In the past 12 months, i been given this eye drops, optodexine, twice. Both for one month. Next, i have also been given, Minims dexamethasone 0.1% single dose drops, the first time was for 1 week.
Avatar m tn Move on.
Avatar m tn What product do you recommend to your patients with dry eye who require preservative free eye drops?
Avatar m tn old eye drops could cause infection but if you have seen an eye doc and have no problems dont worry vix
Avatar m tn Have you used Systane eye drops in the past without having any burning? (Note that what I'm about to say does not apply to Systane Preservative Free Vials.) Systane eye drops use a preservative called Polyquad [polyquaternium-1]. Different brands use different preservatives. The symptoms you describe sound VERY much like an allergic reaction to the preservative. I know, because I just found out I'm allergic to Polyquad myself recently when I tried a sample of Systane drops.
Avatar m tn Has anyone been prescribed Nevanac eye drops for post Vitrectomy/ERM peel surgery ? I was prescribed to take this for 3 months (didn't even have the surgery yet) but the online medical information on it says not to take it for more than 14 days or there could be serious side effects. I'm not big on "blind faith" with what any Doctor just says, especially when it contradicts the warnings to this extreme.
Avatar m tn ZThey advice him to use carboxymethylcellulose sodium lubricant eye drops 0.5% w/v instead of this eye drop we are getting hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose i.p 0.3% w/v. sir are these two eye drops are same.pl. tell me.
Avatar f tn I have an unopened bottle of voltaren eye drops with an expiry date of October 2010. I just ran out of the Voltaren I am using and have a new prescription to get some more and don't have the money at this time to fill it. Would it be safe to use this unopened bottle as I have read that most medications are really good for 5 years after expiry and drug companies just put the expiry dates on so people will throw them away.
