I am a male and in my teens and have Perioral dermatitis which I have read is uncommon, I know exactly how I got the skin condition from to much use of a Steroidal topical cream, I am now going through my second flare up - my last flare was about 2 years ago around this time, I think the flare up was caused by chlorinated water, which I read is not good for this condition I have been struggling to keep this condition under control and my treatment from my last time does not seem to be working, w
I haverecently gone to my primary physician and dermatologist and they tell me it is acne and prescribed benzaclin/ Atralin and sumaxin. Benzaclin seemed to work at first, but now it seems to make my breakouts worse. The other two prescriptions just dont seem to work at all. What could this be?Herpes? I do have herpes, but my doctor tells me it should only be on the lip (I have it next to the lip) it's not noticeable at all.
Face wash with .5% salicylic acid and another facewash with 3.5% benzoyl peroxide. I MAKE SURE to take really good care of my skin but it dosent seem to work. Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide. Also, i am away at college far from my house so could it be my face isnt use to the water here? Im not sure what else it could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to help???
The skin on my cheeks seems to be dry right now because of the topical stuff from my dermatologist (retin-a micro gel, used in the morning and left on till night, and benzaclin gel used at night and left on till morning) but normally it feels pretty smooth and kind of soft but also kind of dry. My forehead feels scaly-ish which is probably because of all the imperfections on it but in the summer it is pretty oily and right now in the winter is feels dry and scaly. My jawline is pretty average.
s nothing really to pop. It usually goes away within the week. I also have been using Benzaclin for the past few months. I try to use it only when i have a pimple coming on. I know it can make my skin very sensative. I've never had a cold sore, but could this be one?? I dont feel any tingling or the other symptoms I've read about concerning cold sores.

One doctor prescribed Benzaclin and another doctor referred me to a dermatologist. After scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist and waiting over three months I ended up seeing a PAC and not an actual dermatologist (if that matters).
Unfortunately I lost the notes I had from the visit but she said I had Sebaceous something or the other. She said there wasn't really anything I could do to clear it up. She gave me a Tretinoin prescription for acne in general.
What do you mean? Like you can't wash your hair the first 6 weeks or on the 6th week you can't wash your hair. I am 13 weeks I wash my hair every day! No problems so idk!

I feel like what I've read it says once the wash cloth is cool and dry the virus is dead, but mine was still very wet. And that the virus can live for hours on towels. So neither of these are true? I wouldn't be so worried if my mom didn't have such bad eczema on her hands. She almost always has broken skin.

I work in a preschool and today one of the children accidentally spit in my eye after he had finished eating an apple. I was wondering if there would be any need to wash out the eye in case there was any juice from the apple in his spit? Might sound like a bizarre question, sorry.
I am currently taking benzaclin and erythromycin gel at night and Evoclin foam in the day. I also tweeze and wax the hairs. I was wondering if tretinoin cream would help prevent ingrown hairs due to increased epithelial cell turnover?
I know laser treatment would be most beneficial but cannot afford it at the moment. What can I do in the meantime to help prevent ingrown hair and pimples in the hair follicle?
Wash everything, cool wash, no dryer. I washed all mine in colour loads separate so nothing ran into his white tops etc...
