Benzaclin tazorac

Common Questions and Answers about Benzaclin tazorac

benzaclin

Avatar f tn I haverecently gone to my primary physician and dermatologist and they tell me it is acne and prescribed benzaclin/ Atralin and sumaxin. Benzaclin seemed to work at first, but now it seems to make my breakouts worse. The other two prescriptions just dont seem to work at all. What could this be?Herpes? I do have herpes, but my doctor tells me it should only be on the lip (I have it next to the lip) it's not noticeable at all.
Avatar n tn ve really started to spread. We just went to a dermatologist and he suggested Tazorac. Everything I have read about the topical solution does not seem good! It makes the area inflamed, red, itchy and it does not clear the warts. I'm very concerned for my son and don't want him to be embarrassed at this young age. What should I do?????
443373 tn?1204941604 I wonder the same thing. I’m 30 now and I have LEN on the groin, scrotum , penis shaft, grundle, all around the anus, right leg calf and recently on my scalp. I had laser surgery back in 2005 on the groin scrotum and penis shaft. It was gone and I was so happy but just 3 years later it was back in full force. The sad truth is nothing can get rid of this. This thing itches so bad it’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s the most itchy thing ever and it’s every damn day.
Avatar m tn The skin on my cheeks seems to be dry right now because of the topical stuff from my dermatologist (retin-a micro gel, used in the morning and left on till night, and benzaclin gel used at night and left on till morning) but normally it feels pretty smooth and kind of soft but also kind of dry. My forehead feels scaly-ish which is probably because of all the imperfections on it but in the summer it is pretty oily and right now in the winter is feels dry and scaly. My jawline is pretty average.
Avatar n tn s nothing really to pop. It usually goes away within the week. I also have been using Benzaclin for the past few months. I try to use it only when i have a pimple coming on. I know it can make my skin very sensative. I've never had a cold sore, but could this be one?? I dont feel any tingling or the other symptoms I've read about concerning cold sores.
Avatar m tn Yea... I've had this bump zapped from two separate dermatologists before and they both suggested to start up my tretinoin products a week or two afterwards...which this time I'm not doing because I feel like a harsh product like Tazorac would most definitely NOT help with wound healing right? I've been trying to do sea salt soaks which are supposedly gentle and keeping it moist.
Avatar n tn Hello, Do not use any alpha hydroxy acid products (those containing glycolic or lactic acid), salicylic acid products, retinoids (Retin A, Renova, Differin and Tazorac) and other topical acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide for 72 hours after the treatment. Also any scarubbing or acne soaps should be avoided for atleast 1 week after the miscrodermabrasion procedure.
Avatar n tn m using Benzaderm 10% wash with aloe vera, Tazorac and taking solodyn (minocycline) for acne treatment. Do these products irritate perioral dermatits even more? and what do I do about steroid cream? I can't see my derm until next week and I don't know what to put on my face anymore. Please help!!
Avatar n tn Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide. Also, i am away at college far from my house so could it be my face isnt use to the water here? Im not sure what else it could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to help??? Can someone tell me what has helped them get rid of annoying and stubborn pimmples? Pleasee helpppp.. thanks!
Avatar m tn I've recently went to the doctor and was prescribed Doxycycline and Benzaclin a topical gel which consists of 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide it seems that its getting better, I just wanted to know what your opinion was on this?
Avatar m tn One doctor prescribed Benzaclin and another doctor referred me to a dermatologist. After scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist and waiting over three months I ended up seeing a PAC and not an actual dermatologist (if that matters). Unfortunately I lost the notes I had from the visit but she said I had Sebaceous something or the other. She said there wasn't really anything I could do to clear it up. She gave me a Tretinoin prescription for acne in general.
Avatar n tn They do not seem to be improving, in fact, they seem to have spread. We started off using Tazorac per one doctor's request. Then after a year of that and skin irritation, he tried burning off some of the warts which were painful for her and it didn't work. Then we switched doctors and have now been using Aldara cream which doesn't seem to be helping. Do I keep switching doctors to find a treatment for this? What do you suggest because I'm at a loss for what to do for her?
775823 tn?1239676122 i have not changed anything in my lifestyle except for not taking the pain pills any longer. seriously, not even the strongest acne medication i have (tazorac) is getting rid of it!! i might have to get some antibiotics or something... i haven't had acne since high school!!! i am actually someone who always gets complimented on how pretty my skin is!!! not right now that is for sure!!! if this is part of the coming clean process can anybody tell me how long does it last??
Avatar m tn I am currently taking benzaclin and erythromycin gel at night and Evoclin foam in the day. I also tweeze and wax the hairs. I was wondering if tretinoin cream would help prevent ingrown hairs due to increased epithelial cell turnover? I know laser treatment would be most beneficial but cannot afford it at the moment. What can I do in the meantime to help prevent ingrown hair and pimples in the hair follicle?
Avatar f tn After 6 weeks of using what she prescribed me I went to the dermatologist again and with her and me not being happy with the results she prescribed me tazorac gel 0.05% a sodium, sulfacetamide 10%, sulfur 5% cleanser, solodyn 55mg pills to control my acne and sunscreen but yet again (surprise surprise) didn't help with the hyper pigmentation. I have fair skin and it makes the hyper pigmentation appear darker than it is because of the contrast.
Avatar f tn Cerave foaming cleanser for face, aczone 7.5%, tazorac .05%. The itch is usually worse at night. I do shave my pubic hair. My pubic hair area gets itchy as well. There is no inflamation on my glans nor scrotum. When the rash goes away, i take care to continue washing and moisturizing the area but they soon appear again. The inflamation on the outrr areas of my jock itch looks like raised red rash. It doesnt fill with pus like the one on my foreskin.
Avatar m tn We have decided to hold off on the accutane for at least a year. My son is on yet another bunch of prescriptions (tazorac gel instead of the cream-as well as doxycycline 100 mgs 2x a day, prescription benzoyl peroxide/salicylic acid pads) and so far his skin is much better. After talking at length with my husband and our son, we decided that the chance of stunting his growth, as well as the joint/muscle pain would be too much of a risk.
Avatar n tn A few years ago I had a horrible case of acne and was put on the Doryx pill for 3 weeks, wash with Brevoxyl 2x day, morning Tazorac topical and evening Duac topical. This combination cleared up all of my acne and dark spots in a month !!! So after two months I weened myself off of the topicals. Everything was fine. About 2 years later, I had another bad breakout. I have really oily skin, lots of white and blackheads and acne scarring (dark spots) resulted from these pimples.
1761490 tn?1313158484 For months we thought it was a molluscum (her first diagnosis) and treated it with Tazorac. However, when I was forced to take her to another another Dermatologist (insurance issues) to get it treated, she said it looked more like a cyst, and that in the next appointment she would perform a biopsy and send it to the lab. I've been reading posts and it seems to me that it may indeed be a cyst. But I'm no doctor.
Avatar m tn m pretty sure they are not working, even Tazorac. No black dots have gone away, the problem has actually gotten worse since I started using retinol although I don't know if that's a coincidence or not. I started using a blackhead cream specifically designed to get rid of blackheads. I'm really hoping that they are the underlying problem, but can anyone confirm that blackheads can lead to these sorts of bumps?
Avatar n tn Hi Dr Santos, Thank you for the reply. Some of the dark spots have a little redness around them. But they are not big pimples. Other seem like like little pinprick scab sized dark spots by themselves. Can you get clogged hair follicles which are dark colored on the legs. I don't have any current itching on the legs. I have tazorac. Would that help with the spots? I have not shaved for a while. I had waxing done early last week though.
Avatar n tn I am using the same cleansing products and the only make-up I wear is lipstick and eye-liner. I saw a P.A. yesterday who prescribed Benzaclin but she really didn't know if this was going to be helpful because it itches and doesn't appear to be acne. Even the pharmacists didn't think this would work. This started about a week ago and has become progressively worse.
Avatar f tn İ have read in the website about tazorac or ammonium lactate how do they help is it ok that i use mustela body lotion or is there a better cream you can suggest me. Thank you for your respond i appreciate that so so much. Tugra.
Avatar f tn I had started using a new shampoo and facewash recently within the last 2 months which both contained sodium lauryl sulphate which many websites have claimed may be the cause of perioral dermatitis. For many years before the accutane I used acne medications such as Tazorac (at night) and Duac (during the daytime), and am not sure if these medications contain steroids in them. So far my research has lead me to believe the causes of my possible dermatitis are 1.
Avatar f tn I did get a zit on my face at the same time, whats that mean? Thankfully I use benzaclin and retina a. But its not for hair. Im such a well informed person on so many levels I cant believe this ones a stumper.
