I haverecently gone to my primary physician and dermatologist and they tell me it is acne and prescribed benzaclin/ Atralin and sumaxin. Benzaclin seemed to work at first, but now it seems to make my breakouts worse. The other two prescriptions just dont seem to work at all. What could this be?Herpes? I do have herpes, but my doctor tells me it should only be on the lip (I have it next to the lip) it's not noticeable at all.
The skin on my cheeks seems to be dry right now because of the topical stuff from my dermatologist (retin-a micro gel, used in the morning and left on till night, and benzaclin gel used at night and left on till morning) but normally it feels pretty smooth and kind of soft but also kind of dry. My forehead feels scaly-ish which is probably because of all the imperfections on it but in the summer it is pretty oily and right now in the winter is feels dry and scaly. My jawline is pretty average.
s nothing really to pop. It usually goes away within the week. I also have been using Benzaclin for the past few months. I try to use it only when i have a pimple coming on. I know it can make my skin very sensative. I've never had a cold sore, but could this be one?? I dont feel any tingling or the other symptoms I've read about concerning cold sores.
Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide. Also, i am away at college far from my house so could it be my face isnt use to the water here? Im not sure what else it could be. Does anyone have any ideas of what i can do to help??? Can someone tell me what has helped them get rid of annoying and stubborn pimmples? Pleasee helpppp.. thanks!

I am 20 years old. I have scars that come from chicken pox as a child, and bug bite scars. I have these ugly dark spots all over my body, (my arms, legs, back, feet, and my butt) they make me very unconfortable, so unconfortable that since i was able to dress myself i have not weared any clothing that show my legs. my mom also has the same scar condition. we tried everything from off the coutner fading creams, to getting a tan. nothing seems to work.

One doctor prescribed Benzaclin and another doctor referred me to a dermatologist. After scheduling an appointment with a dermatologist and waiting over three months I ended up seeing a PAC and not an actual dermatologist (if that matters).
Unfortunately I lost the notes I had from the visit but she said I had Sebaceous something or the other. She said there wasn't really anything I could do to clear it up. She gave me a Tretinoin prescription for acne in general.
i am 18yr old black girl and I have had so many scars on my legs which have refused to go away since I was 13yrs old . The scars occured as a a result of skin irritation characterised with sores bringing out some kind of fluid. I am currrently applying bio oil to the scars but it is not getting any better.I can't show my legs to anyone, i can't go swimming because i will have to open my legs.
These ice pick scars can be removed by primary excision, but patient needs to accept red scars and slow healing with eventual healing , and then derambarasion and laser will help. Nothing helps ice pick scars because they penetrate too deeply to revise with surface treatments. That is the dermatologist approach, and it will not work. Excise, dermabrade or laser and you will get satisfactory results.
Friction caused scars? Are you sure that's what this is?
You should let a dermatologist see that. How long have you had the scars? Most scars fade over time, but check with your doctor to make sure it's just scars from injury and not anything else happening.

You should consult an expert dermatologist or a plastic surgeon that will be able to give you a definitive line of treatment for these scars. Usually these scars improve through the use of a combination of laser treatment, dermabrasion or use of chemical peels. The treatment however would depend on the exact location and depth of the scars on the body the scars.
I am currently taking benzaclin and erythromycin gel at night and Evoclin foam in the day. I also tweeze and wax the hairs. I was wondering if tretinoin cream would help prevent ingrown hairs due to increased epithelial cell turnover?
I know laser treatment would be most beneficial but cannot afford it at the moment. What can I do in the meantime to help prevent ingrown hair and pimples in the hair follicle?
I got chicken pox when I was around 12 and was left with quite a bit of scarring on my face (crater like scars). I am now 20 and wonder if there are any surgical or other methods that can get rid of them.
I am 19 years old.. i had chicken pox when i was 17 years old.. i have may scars in my face and body.. i tried almost all the creams but the scars did not disappear.. Can you recommend me any medications or alternative medications to remove all the scars and the holes that the chicken pox created?? thank you so much...
