benicar hct and side effects

Benicar keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Benicar HCT has a diuretic included as well. I have been fortunate, Benicar has worked from the first day I took it and works well still today. My 90 day average BP is 108/67 down from 135/85 when I started. I have had no side effects as well, the best of both worlds!

I've been on Benicar HCT 40/12.5 for 3 years, it's the only BP med I've been on and it has worked wonders with no side effects. My BP is down to 110/70 from 150/90 and as I said, I have had absolutely no side effects to date. For me, it's a great med, but maybe not for you. There are many to choose from, just keep working with your doctor to find the one that works best for your situation.

I did consult with an Ayurvedic Doctor, who prescribed some compounds, non toxic, no side effects. They usually go to the root cause, and will prescribe more than one compound since all systems are involved or most. Mine did prescribe some, but I can't remember which ones. I am on Benicar HCT 40/20 mg as well, it is a great drug and has almost no side effects. You make it sound like you may be having some anxiety attacks as a result of your experience. One of the things you get with anxiety attacks is a release of adrenaline which can cause flushing on the face, back and upper torso, it's very common and most likely causing your issue. Try to stay calm and mention the anxiety to your doctor as they can treat that with meds as well.

Our daughter in law informed her doctor that she knows other people who have had the same side effects and were switched and that she also read about the side effects on the net. Doc still refuses to switch her. There are over 100 different BP meds on the market. My husband was switched 4 times before they found the right BP med for him with no or very little side effects, but this doctor wont switch our daughter in law to another BP med. We urged our daughter in law to get another doctor.

For the record, I had my gallbladder removed today laparoscopically and did not stop taking the Benicar HCT. No troubles that they felt worth mentioning, so it does sound like at my dosage, it was fine. And, yeah...the surgery itself was unbelievably easy!

My dr put me on Benicar 20mg and Toprol XL 25mg to lower my blood pressure. I have a fast pulse too (always over 100). Will these meds lower my pulse also?

My blood pressure has been low, in the range of 90/60 since the surgery but the cardiologist wants me to continue the Benicar. He said it's "good for the heart". Has anyone ever heard of this before? My understanding was that Benicar is for high BP. Also, I have been feeling very down and blue a lot of the time. The chest pain has returned and the diastolic pressure is 53.I am currently on benicar hct 40/25 and my bp has been 126/53. Should I stop taking the benicar? Not sure what to make of the chest pain.I am a 48 yr. old female other wise in good health.

I could tell that my bp was still high and I went to another doctor who prescribed me Benicar for the bp. The headaches became too much to bear again. The closest definition I have found is "primary cough headache", however I am not in the norm of risk factor group. My resting pulse rate was between 50 and 60, now with benicar is above 70. My question - Is this really the medicine side effects ? which drug could be better to not affect my running performance? About a year ago I was put on high blood pressure medication, Benicar 20mg a day. I have never had any types of heart issue and in the last year have developed or started to notice regular PVC's. I have had them checked out and they are PVC's and they drive me nuts because they make me feel real uncomfortable. Could the PVC's be caused by the benicar?

My doctor put me on Lisinopril( 10 Mlg) I have taken this med for one week and my BP is still high. I am 78 and maintain a good weight and eat well and exercise regularly. Any suggestions? My LDL is 223 and before 222. when taking toprol XL 50-75 mg. My cholesterol is 177 when I am not on antihypertensive drugs. You can look up side effects of any medication on the Internet. Or talk to a pharmacist, they would also be able to tell you if those drugs would possibly give you excess sweating.

p - like I switched from a beta blocker (long term use) to a Ccb - If I dont take the med the same time every day , I have harsh reactions, when I take the med, after 30 to 60mins im fine again ( with the normal side effects happening to me ) sos. 62 year old man in great health - all of a sudden experiencing pins and needles in hands and bottom of feet. after a few days, pressure in back of head and lightheadedness. symptoms come and go - no rhyme or reason to it. pressure was a little high 150/90 so increased bp medicine to benicar 40mgs with hct of 12.5. pressure came down to 115/75 - thought it was reaction to medicine - stopped it for a week - and symptoms stayed.
