Ok so i was treated for Chlamydia [havent got results back yet] with the 4 pink pills called Azithromycin [one time dosage]. My symptoms were itchy penis and i had discharge coming from my penis. I was treated for Chlamydia and my symptoms pretty much went away i still have very mild discharge [only in the moring] its been almost a week since i was treated, is this normal? should it be complety gone already?

I have recently been diagnosed with mild NGU although I am still waiting for my Chlamydia and Gonorrhea results. I have been given one single dose of azithromycin (1 g) . It has been four days now, and when i urinate there is still a burning sensation. I have not had any discharge at all. Before (Hours before) I have the burning feeling when I urinate, I also have a feeling of pressure/pain at my pelvis.

hello.... today just went and got hsv results.... negative! last week the RPR and TPHA for syphilis also negative.... but just incase doctor gave me 2 grams of azithromycin to take... i took it 3 days ago and now the ucler which scabbed is still the same size and still on the shaft of my penis...... today doctor said give it up to 14 days to heal, but before told me it should have gotten noticeably smaller by the 2-3rd day after taking azithromycin....
I am a male and my female partner engaged in unprotected sex; oral and vaginal. We took an STD test shortly afterwards and confirmed we were both positive for chlamydia.
We we both prescribed 1000mg of azithromycin, 4 bills at 250mg. After 7 days of taking the medication we engaged in protected vaginal sex (condom). About 2 weeks later we performed unprotected oral sex (both of us giving and receiving) and continued with protected vaginal sex.
I have just finish the treatment for gonorrhea after finishing the prescribed 5 day dosage of azithromycin. After further reading on azithromycin in the internet, I stumbled upon some people saying including in this forums that taking azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis. I'm starting to get worried. I didn't notice any symptoms of syphilis on me at all. So is it possible that azithromycin can affect the vdrl for syphilis?
I hope my doctor knew what he was doing.
Three days later I visited an STD clinic and I was told I may have urethritis so I was given a one-time dose of Azithromycin. I was also tested for chlamydia/gonorrhea but I will not know the results until next week. It has now been three days since I have taken the Azithromycin however my symptoms (tingling/throbbing sensation in penis, burning when peeing) has yet to go away. In fact, I think it may have gotten worse (but still no discharge). My questions are:

On Sunday I started to feel a burning sensation in my urethra and noticed I had a clear discharge from my penis. Went to get tested on Monday, still awaiting results from chlamydia/gonorrhoea. Swab taken from my penis revealed an infection due to white blood cells present but my doc could not say whether it was chlamydia or NGU. She provided me with azithromycin 4x250g.

- How effective are the antibiotics usually prescribed for the treatment of chlamydia – specifically, Azithromycin 1 Gram (Single Powdered Dose mixed with two (2) ounces of water) and Doxycycline Hyclate (100 Mg Capsules – Administered twice per day for seven (7) days)?
- How common is it that chlamydia symptoms persist during and after antibiotic treatment(s)? (Assume that both treatments were completed with strict adherence of clinical instruction).
I also noticed a burning sensation when urinating. I saw a doctor who prescribed azithromycin and also took a urine sample to be tested. After taking the antibiotics I started feeling less itchiness and almost no burning when urinating.....
I return to the doctor and the results were negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea. The day after the symptoms seemed to come back again, strong burning of the tip and itchiness...no pain when urinating though.
I have got my 4 weeks syphilis test results after the exposure .the TPPA and RPR test are all negative,but I take 12 pills of Azithromycin to cure my NGU during the 4 weeks,and I did not take the pills for 5 days before I take tke test.some one told me that the Azithromycin would cure the syphilis,and it will make the test result inaccurate,should I test syphilis again,and would the Azithromycin make the result inaccurate?
I was prescribed 1g of azithromycin 3 weeka ago in the UK for chlamydia.
Unfortunately from a bad reaction I had to a medicine years ago, I have a phobia of tablets, so I crushed the azithromycin, mixed it with water, waited for it to dissolve (about 2 hours), and drank it (very foul bitter taste).
After 3 weeks, my chlamydia is back, exactly the same stomach cramps, and discharge (I'm female).
It's currently 10 days since I took 1 gram of Azithromycin for what seemed like Chlamydia. My lab results aren't in yet but I was prescribed and took Azithromycin the same day I went to the clinic for the testing. The symptoms I had at the time were painful urination and the tip of the penis was red/swollen. Later on the same day I took Azithromycin I started noticing cloudy/clear discharge (stained yellow) for the first time and this lasted for about 3 or 4 days.
They looked under the microscope at the lab to see if they could detect gonorrhea but it came back inconclusive as they could only see pus cells. Nevertheless, I was given 1g Azithromycin which I took on 5th Sept. The gonorrhea is going to take up to 3 weeks and so I was filled with too much anxiety to wait for the results, so I went to see a GP and told him my symptoms and he prescribed 400mg Cefixime (Suprax).
I asked him if he would prescribe me treatment for gonorreah and chlamydia whilst I wait for the results as I am going out of my mind with worry. He advised against this but gave me a prescription of Azithromycin, with 500mg dosage twice a day for three days. In all my research online, I have read that the recommended dosage is 1g of Azithromycin taken once. Is the dosage I was prescribed as effective?
Results: 11 patients (26.2%) had a positive TOC following treatment with stat azithromycin. The risk of re-infection was excluded in two, identifying nine of the 11 (81.8%) as treatment failures. Two patients had a positive TOC following treatment with 1 week of doxycycline, both were found to have a risk of re-infection. There was a significantly higher treatment failure rate in patients receiving azithromycin (p=0.0025).
The antibiotic could have an impact on test results. Bu tif you had this discharge while on azithromycin, I would not wait to test. If this is an STD, the azithromycin is not having much effect.

A couple of months ago, I was diagnosed with Chlamydia. I took the Azithromycin that I was given, and went back for another check a couple of weeks later, because I was still getting symptoms. The second set of swabs showed that I still had Chlamydia, and was this time given a 7 day course of Doxycycline to take. About 2 weeks after this, I was hospitalised for severe abdominal pain, leaving me curled up in a ball on the ground wailing.
I was treated for this with 2 g azithromycin on 28/2. I had a test of cure today and am waiting for results. I am allergic to penicillin.
I had sex with someone on 18/3 oral only he performed oral on me, I did not on him and it did not last long. However, I wanted to ask the following questions
1. If you have pharyngeal gonnoreah can it pass to your genital area?
1）I took some Penicillin,Azithromycin and Cephalosporin discontinuously during the 8 weeks,does it affect the TP-ELISA result for syphilis testing ?
2) i mean，can i preclude the possibility of syphilis infection for the 8 weeks of the TP-ELISA test results ?

I went and saw my PCP today and based on my tests results, examination and description of past and current symptoms (dull pain in scrotum) he is fairly confident it is a UTI. However he did have me provide another urine sample for a urine culture as this was never done. He gave me a RX for Bactrim TMP-DS tablets, twice daily for 7 days.
In my thread with Dr. Hook he indicated that my symptoms were compatible with NGU.
t even give me any further tests and gave me 2 grams of Azithromycin... took it yesterday.... now it has been a day since i took it.... is the ulcer suppose to get noticeably smaller soon or what results should i see from the treatment? cuz so far everything looks the same...
My boyfriend went to the clinic yesterday because he said he had a bump on his penis. The bump disappeared by the time he saw someone but they tested him and told him he might have Mono. They gave him a medication called Azithromycin and they told him he couldn't drink alcohol for 3 days or have sex for a week. And he said they also told him he could still kiss. I thought mono could only be spread through saliva, so why is this? Could he possibly have something else, like an STD?
