I'm sure you understand that it isn't just any tick that will produce Lyme disease after having bitten someone. You know that they are deer ticks that have been infected, and hence carry the disease. I'm sorry about the cat. My goodness! But there's no way to tell if the tick that latched onto kitty infected the cat with Lyme or something else. (Not saying it can't have been Lyme!)

Have you re-tested after treatment? If so I would wait about a week before re-testing to get the antibiotic out of your system. Yes usually after treatment of up to 14 days you should be symptom free unless it is a resistant strain or you have something else causing the problem.

I was diagnosed with Chlamydia about a week ago. They gave me Azithromycin, 4 tablets at 250mg to take all at once. I took them and have severe stomach cramping and nausea, and ended up getting sick about 45 to an hour after taking the last pill... hoping that I would have already digested it before I got sick. Week 7 tingling/irritation at base of penis turned into ache and also had slight ache in testicals. Got partner to take 1g of Azithromycin as well as taking same dose my self, (stupid I know but was going insane with worry about infecting partner). today, i had a severe pain on the left side of my chest. like in my left breast, extending towards the side and back. it's constant pain and i feel like vomiting a bit because of that pain. it got so severe that i had to lie down and then it felt a bit better but it's still throbbing. i recently got put on antibiotics (azithromycin) for a throat infection, but these pains are not a side effect.
