I have had BV before so I know what’s that’s like but a STD I don’t know what to expect or what is next. Can someone tell me do I need to be treated for BV even if the Azithromycin is still working in my body. I read the Azithromycin last a while in the body. Can someone tell me what’s going on.
m taking metronidazole 500mg for the BV for 7 days. I took the azithromycin on the evening of the 16th. I have to mention that today the discharge is almost nonexistant, whereas before it was obscene. My partner lives in another state, as soon as I received my results I told him to seek treatment.
I have another question. I missed my period which is very, very unusual. Could a missed period be due to the gonorrhea infection? My period is always early or right on time.
Hello. I was diagnosed with BV on Wednesday. I was prescribed four azithromycin pills (which i took that night) and 500mg flagyl twice a day for seven days, which i started on Thursday. Since beginning the antibiotics, I have been experiencing white discharge that I was not having prior to taking flagyl. It is very different than a yeast infection. (I am also on flucan to prevent a yeast infection.) It is creamy and sort of sticky. What is this new discharge?

s many ways to take flagyl for BV , in 1 dose or in multiple doses for 7 days . It seems that the cure for BV and Trich are exactly the same dosage . 500 mg twice a day for 7 days .

I am wondering , because the doctor today had said I will give you this for BV .. And I asked can't you just give me the dose for Trich , incase it's Trich . And he said no , that he would only give me the dose for BV ..
She was given Metro gel (she is still nursing our 2 year old - hence the gel vs the pill) for the BV (she never had odor with the discharge). I tested for Gonorhea and Chlamydia via urine sample and was told it was negative and was provided 4 athriomax pills just in case for the BV. I then freaked out after internet searches and wnet and got tested for NGU HIV SYPHILYS. I know the pills probably killed any bacteria for the NGU test.

The doctor treated me with Doxycyline and I got retested via urine test about 3 weeks later by the same doctor. Went to the gyno who only tested me on chlamydia and bv, gave me 6 days of azithromycin, 5 days ciprofloxacin and flagyl ovules. After that I felt fine , though the chlamydia was negative. I occasionally had yellow discharge and one arthritis. One week after the arthritis I also experienced the same vaginal discomfort with burning pee this time.(we only had protected sex). I was given the same treatment, didn't improve, got more flagyl got even worse.

bv is very common in females as is yeast vaginitis. not unusual for them to come back repeatedly either. the medication she has currently been prescribed treats bv. we don't consider bv a std though it is more common in sexually active females than in non-sexually active ones. often semen changes a woman's ph to allow bacteria and yeast to over grow to cause these infections.
