avonex

488198 tn?1493875092 No big surprise there. The message also said that Biogen would be bringing the Avonex Pen into the market about May 1, and that of course their www.avonex.com website would be updated as things progress.
Avatar f tn I'm new to this app and I just realized there were message boards.. I'm wondering if the boards are designed to go By your weeks or age? Sorry If I sound like an idiot but I was just checking..
1707517 tn?1313247961 Hello! I've just been diagnosed with MS and am wondering which drug is better. I've read the material for Copaxone, Rebif, Avonex, and Betaseron. I've narrowed it down to two -- Rebif or Copaxone based mainly on side effects. Which drug is the best?
Avatar f tn t see Lyme as a truly serious illness may try to cause trouble for MDs who *do* take Lyme very seriously, and the result could be problems for the Lyme docs with the state medical boards. (The medical boards tend to hold to the old belief that Lyme is no big deal.) Over time, the medical profession will work itself out, but for now, please do NOT post names of any MDs here, in order to protect them.
488198 tn?1493875092 An MSWorld user "zeldaz" lost her Avogrip, a plastic piece that clips to an Avonex syringe and makes it easier to handle. Apparently they are no longer available from Biogen. The draconian forum admins there deleted offers to send "zeldaz" a new, unopened one. If "zeldaz" sticks her nose in here, send me a PM.
Avatar f tn I would be more inclined to believe your symptoms have to do with starting Tecfidera. I've not heard of sabbaticals from an interferon causing such things. I stopped Avonex for seven weeks to try Gilenya, but the problems I had weren't like yours, and they could be directly attributed to Gilenya.
Avatar n tn Check out the message boards on these 2 websites for CPAP related questions. The boards here are very active. I think I've read this problem on those boards before. www.cpaptalk.com www.apneasupport.
Avatar m tn Oh, and here is a message board for ALS. Maybe it will help you to hear other stories and see if they match yours. http://www.************.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?
Avatar f tn I guess all people care about on these message boards are their STDs.
573676 tn?1217527171 I'm wondering if anyone knows a good place--a free place--to chat about womens health topics. I'm not talking about message boards. I have a few questions that I just cannot get answered and was hoping if maybe there was somewhere that I could actually talk to someone and see if they can help me. Thanks for your help I'm really confused right now.
462771 tn?1358355843 50mL prefilled syringes of Avonex for the whole time, so is that comparable to the Copaxone dose? They called and left me a message that they would be ok with me staying on Avonex to give it more time to evaluate it's efficacy if I wanted to, and since I just got another 3 month supply, I think I'm going to give it a shot (no pun intended). It just makes me worry that if I have an aggressive form of RRMS, is any of this doing any good?
183933 tn?1290216962 Just keep googling and searching but stick to the more commendable sites and steer clear from answers on message boards because those are opinions and not scientific research.

Avatar f tn Are you familiar with the 'private message' function on this website? I can send you a recommendation there, since we keep our doc's names out of the public area of this site, to protect our Lyme docs -- in some jurisdictions, the Lyme docs need to keep very very quiet to avoid the state and local medical boards from trying to shut the docs down.
Avatar m tn can I? post a new message to the other Heart Rhythm medical questions board. Do I need to create a whole new profile? Use another email and password? Seems that way but hoping I am wrong and someone can give me a clue here:-) Thanks!
97654 tn?1214348650 Hi, I was recently diagnosed with MS and had my first Avonex injection Friday. Friday night was tough (fever, chills, pain and eventually heavy sweating) but I felt pretty good by Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon I started feeling kind of down and by Sunday morning I feel even more so. I can't decide if this is a result of the drug or just the situation as a whole.
Avatar f tn Sigh, I have a question from a friend. She would like to know if avonex causes calcium deficiency? She is diagnosed with ms. Not like me.
400099 tn?1282954864 Is anyone on avonex? My dr. wants to switch me to avonex, but with having lupus, I really don't want to go on an interferon. I'm on copaxone, now but because I have large welts on my arms he wants to switch me. I don't want to switch. Do I have the right to deny a new medication I feel would be detrimental to me?
Avatar f tn Flu-like symptoms are a fairly common side effect during the initial weeks of Avonex treatment. It is recommended that you take your Avonex injection before bedtime. Immediately before your injection, and for the 24 hours that follow the injection, patients have found that use of over the counter pain and fever reducing medications can help with this common side effect." You could also get on the Avonex website for further info. good luck. hope that you feel better soon.
