If the abcess affects the bone or if the infection was not completly removed there may be residual pressure under the apical of the tooth. With no place for the infection to go it can be very painful. This may be the case for you. I am not sure how long or how bad your abcess was present before the root canal was performed.
I would get a second opinion from an endodontist. I the state that I live in it does require a referral.

treated with doxycycline by end of june for 1 wk. started on avelox end of july for 1 wk. then given levaquin for a wk. by last wk doc said she didn't think was infection cause levaquin shoudl have killed anything, even though I was still having gobs of green phlegm coming down the back of my throat and out of my lungs. she sent me to the asthma and allergy clinic where i was tested for 27 diff allergies all negative for.

Out of many causes of ankle and feet swelling , one cause is Leg infection . That is the reason why your symptoms subside for a while when you take antibiotics . Whenever you get swelling next time , please get a CBP with ESR test done to know the specific causative organism and take treatment accordingly . Please consult a physician for the same . Currently I have 6 days remaining on the doxycycline and 9 days remaining on the avelox. I have not engaged in any sexual activity whatsoever since my diagnosis however I still have a very mild clear mucus discharge primarily in the morning; the penile itching and dysuria has abated.
He checked the x-ray, teeth, and gums and found no issues. The tooth pain tracks the yellow mucus. Thanks for the suggestion.
Sinus Dynamics is an inhaled anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antifungal. I found it on a web search. I'm just looking to avoid surgery if at all possible, and concerned that even if I had surgery the underlying inflammation and infection will still persist.

It usually takes at least 3 years of not taking any fluroquinolones before you will really notice an improvement.
Hi, I need some advise regarding my teeth.
I had a root canal done on my tooth 19th maybe about 3 years ago.
2 years ago my gum swelled because of pus & infection therefore the dentist did another root canal to remove the infection. I found out last sep. that there's some infection underneath that same tooth again, but
because of some complication with insurance i didn't do anything about it till now. This time there's no swelling or pain or any sort of discomfort.
If you have taken any of these drugs, do you remember if you took them before or after you developed cardiac symptoms. I am wondering if my cardiac symptoms are due to taking Avelox for a sinus infection. If you do need an antibioitic make sure that your doctor does not prescribe any of these drugs. They are associated with a number of devastating reactions.
Thanks for the info. I was on Avelox for 14-day and I have not had discharge for over 7 weeks now. And the MG DNA test from urine is also negative.
However, I have symptome of chronic prostatitis, but doctors are not seeing any actual infections, and told me I should not be on AB.
Initially I had doxy for 3 weeks, but the UTI just came back after 2 weeks. I think a lot of people are as desperate as I am.
Can more people share their experience or methods to alleviate the symptoms?
Could be sinus infection too. Go to a hospital so that you can have head and chest x-rays. A chest x-ray is the ONLY way to rule out pneumonia. If you are getting the chest X-ray then no reason not to also have the head X-ray. Doctors treat a sinus infection they can see much more rigorously. Then leave with a good strong antibiotic, if it is a sinus infection you might try Avelox.

Hi, I got a bride fitted on my top left side, it is 4 teeth and fits on the tooth next to the top left wisdom tooth, obviously that tooth was ground and made smaller for the bridge to fit on it, the tooth was absolutely healthy and fine, i have never had any problems with that tooth earlier, the day grinding took place that tooth became sore, very very sensitive and I had to get temp.
6 weeks ago I was diagnosed with pneumonia through a chest x-ray. I was put on Avelox and an inhaler. Two days later I had to go to the ER b/c the symptoms were worse. Breathing was more difficult. I was then given an antibiotic shot and a Zpac. They did a blood test-WBC was normal. I started to feel better the next week. However, as soon as the antibiotic round was over, my symptoms began to return. I run a low fever on and off all day of 99.

I have SVT and going to see a university of Penn doctor on Wednesday about an ablation. I also have skipped beats, pauses, all the annoying stuff that freaks me out sometimes. Heart issues run on both sides of my family, my dad has afib. I'm 43 and have had tachycardia since my late 20s. Here's my problem. I am fighting a pretty severe infection, first it was upper respiratory and was given amoxicillian. 6 days later, I am running fevers and having bad head aches.
