I was prescribed augmentin 875 and I am taking that 2 times a day for the past 4 days now. I was also prescribed sudafed 4-6 hours that I have been taking for 2 days. Yesterday I started having trouble urinating and pain in my penis. I also had pain while ejaculating. This is still happening today. Do you think this is a side effect from the medicine or do I have a UTI or urethritis or something like that. I'm 18 years old and have never had these symptoms before.

If you took augmentin, and it cleared up for you, it was a UTI and not an STI.
You bought her clotrimazole? That's medication for a yeast infection, which can happen for lots of reasons, and is also not an STI.
Your wife is pregnant, though, and I understand why you are worried. After you've been off the augmentin for 3 weeks, test for all STIs to be able to put this behind you.
I have been sick since 22 June 2022, I went to the hospital and met the urologist for a check and ultrasound found that there was an epididymal cyst on the left testicle, minimal hydrocele, and bilateral testicular microlothiasis.
at that time it was only the cyst that hurt, the doctor gave the antibiotic augmentin for 7 days until 29 June 2022.
My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin,spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.

I am not sure it would be safe to give lots of cranberry juice to a child they are too young for that I think. It may cause their blood sugar to get too far off. How is he doing today?

Im 20 yrs old and ive had uti for as long as I could remember... it wasn't until recently I had these terrible pains... pains to were I cant walk talk or sometimes even breath... every little move I make is painful... this pain prevents me from keeping a job being active... at the end of the day it makes me very depressed... someone suggested flexeril to me but I'm scared to take it... please give me some advice...
Things seemed to normalize but after I decided to seek other counsel. A little over a week ago 9/11 I saw a Urologist who informed me that I had been prescribed the wrong antibiotic and prescribed me Augmentin which ended Sunday. I attempted to ejaculate late Sunday night to see just how normal things were and my semen was bloody but there was no pain. Is this normal? Did I move too fast? Or is this a sign that something else is wrong?
My internist called me and asked if I had any pain or burning. I do not. She said I prob have UTI and started me on Augmentin for 10 days. I took the augmentin for 2wks and still felt horrible. I then went to a urologist who did not do a urine test just pulled it up from the records from urgent care and prescribed me gentimicin injections. I had 4 of these. All these time I felt like I had a UTI and yeast infection so they also treated me with the diflucan on multiple occasions 100mg for 5days and also 150g take one and another 3days later and also using all over the counter available creams.
There is usually no discharge, itching or anything like you would get if you had a yeast infection, and a UTI is SO easy to get from having sex. Especially if you didn't use the bathroom immediately after sex.
All you have to do at the doctor's office is pee in a cup, no exam neccessary, so don't hesitate or it will get worse.
(. Although it could be from the augmentin I am taking right now ( it is my 6th day of taking augmentin). I have a bacterial infection in my throat and the doctor prescribed me this. The mouth sores appread 2 to 3 days after I started taking my medication. I read that augmentin does cause mouth sores. It's one of it's may side effects. But I am worried still.
He also ordered for a HIV screening, Syphilis test and a CBC. All came back negative with normal CBC (WBC count 8.7).
Later, the Pharyngitis got worse and I had to take a dose of Augmentin after my Amox dose. With Augmentin it subsided, but I developed Allergic Rhinitis (as my sinuses cleared) and also started having mild eye infection (1st right eye and the then left). Since last two days I started having discomfort near my groin and passed a few drops of blood late last night with urine.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.
