Hey, I've just been diagnosed with ADHD and I'll be taking Atomoxetine. It's the non - stimulant type, I was thinking the stimulant form of medication would suit me better with such as an Amphetamine based one. I was a user on speed awhile ago and when I was on I felt established, in control, I could concentrate and express my inteligence.

I was diagnosed with ADHD 9/9 in March this year by a phsyciatrist at a harley street in London(remotley)
I tried stimulants dextroamphetamine and listamphetamin but they didn't agree with me. I was then prescribed atomoxetine. I took these for 4 weeks- start with 10mg then 20mg then 40mg and called my harley phsyciatrist as I was running out.
As far as I know, the only two are intuniv and concerta. They use different formulations. No clue which is better. I think it probably depends on the individual. Both do take a while to take effect (compared to a stimulant). If you google them, you will be able to see lots of anecdotal posts on how it worked for that poster or their children.

Hi. There is no current study that prohibits Atomoxetine (Strattera) users to take creatine supplements. However, caution should be made when taking supplements, since both drugs can alter kidney function and cause urinary symptoms (e.g. stones, dysuria) when not taken properly. I am currently taking Atomoxetine – a medication used to treat ADHD in adults. I take 40mg once daily in the morning and it really helps me to concentrate better and function the way I need to etc…
One of the main issues I have is the effect it has on my penis and testicles.

0) after being on a dug trail for Atomoxetine, (last year, at age 45 yrs) by an A.D.H.D. specalist team in Northampton England. Aparently many medical teams around the world dont belive a.d.h.d goes into adulthood, belive me it does! I have it extreamly badly, and after a disastor with Rittaline im now on Strattera (atomoxetine, which is not yet licenced in u.k.) is there any other adults out there that have been, like me, misdiagnosed for years because . .. when I was a child a.d.h.

NOT FOR LONG...YOU MAY START OUT ONLY ON WEEKEND BUT IT WILL escalate. i used coke for 5 years heavily and i started out only on the weekends. before long it was everyday all day and every night all night. it is a horrible drug the eventually completely robs you of yourself.
I am, or should I say was, a recreational drug user. In the last two months I smoked pot regularly and took approx. 3 vicodin 10mg and 1 percocet 10mg to help with back pain from a car accident. I don't regularly use pain meds and am far from addicted, I am just so worried that those couple pills hurt my little one. :( help!

I would be interested in hearing their symptoms, what they have done about the anxiety, and all the details. My anxiety was brought on by recreational drug use and while I am much better, I still have a little ways to go.

( 100 times more than any antidepressant medication does ) the problem with this action in such an extreem manner is that after repeated use, your brain eventually stops producing very important neurotransmitters such as Serotonin, and Neurephineferine. The result is severe depression that can often be so bad that even powerful antidepressant medications can not return brain function back to normal.

I kicked a mild (4 month?) addiction, it's been about 3 days since I've had any.
I was taking up to 90mgs per day (3 Morn, 3 Afternoon, 3 Night) and went down to 60mg a day for a week, then I went a full day without them Day 1, 30 mg Day 2, full day without them Day 3, 30 mg Day 4, and then days 5, 6, 7 I've had 0. I feel like I'm back to normal. Sleep is back, no anxiety, no RLS, no cravings.
