I take 40mg once daily in the morning and it really helps me to concentrate better and function the way I need to etc… One of the main issues I have is the effect it has on my penis and testicles.
Avatar n tn Hi. There is no current study that prohibits Atomoxetine (Strattera) users to take creatine supplements. However, caution should be made when taking supplements, since both drugs can alter kidney function and cause urinary symptoms (e.g. stones, dysuria) when not taken properly. I suggest that you ask your doctor first if these are safe for you to use. Thanks for asking.

Avatar f tn Presentation This is predominantly a tumor of adult women, with very few examples reported in adolescents. Patients typically present with a firm, palpable mass. These tumors are very fast growing, and can increase in size in just a few weeks. Occurrence is most common between the ages of 40 and 50, prior to the menopause. This is about 15 years older than the typical age of patients with fibroadenoma, a condition with which Phyllodes tumors may be confused.

Markedly reduced to near absent NAA, cr integral as compare to myoinositol low myo:cr ratio in low metabolite spectrum as compare to contalateral counterpart. Increased choline integral in major part of focal lesion [ranging 1.37 to 2.6 as compare to 0.82 to 1.44 on contralateral side]. Avatar m tn In general ceftriaxone is a broad spectrum antibiotic covering gram-negative bacteria, while penicillin is narrower and covers mostly gram-positive. But in cases of streptococcal endocarditis, they are both recommended. So I think if she is improving from ceftriaxone already, I would finish the course of antibiotic with the same drug rather than switching.

Avatar f tn Hi, I had Addisons, so did President Jack Kennedy :-) but the BEST person on this site to advise you is called "rumpled". She is assisting one person, see the address below http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn Has your daughter tried a non-stimulant medication such as Straterra (atomoxetine)?
Avatar f tn Are they found in people with Autism Spectrum Disorders? I will type in exactly what the report says.... Will you please interpret it? FINDINGS: The scalp and calvarium are unremarkable in appearance. There is no skull base mass. Minor enlargement of adenoids is seen. No significant sinus disease is noted. Avatar n tn Recently an x-ray turned up a lesion on his right lung. A PT scan indicated a 3 x 5 cm nodule/mass in the peripheral tissue surrounding the lung. A portion which has pushed the lung inward slightly. The radiologist reported this a likely benign nodule consisting of fat. A subsequent thin needle biopsy was negative/inconclusive (I was later told a core biopsy would have been required to rule out malignancy altogether).
20003388 tn?1515166040 Every time I try a medication that has a reuptake effect on norepeneprhine I get this mild burning sensation on the left side of my chest. So far I have had this happen with Atomoxetine, Venlafaxine, Bupropion and now Nortrypytiline. It isn't anxiety, a panic attack or heartburn, just a dull, moderately uncomfortable, burning sensation. I'm fine with all the SSRI's and medications like Rexulti. It's just the ones that affect NE.

Avatar f tn Enlarged heterogeneous thyroid gland,2. Dominant 2.1 mass in mid right lobe 3,Dominant 3.4 X 1.8 cm mass in the left lobe. Further evaluation with thyroid scan recommended. Biopsy may be needed thereafter. I am wondering about several things, Why is there no mention of these masses being fluid or solid? it seems like this is lacking in clarity and information. Is there a significant difference in the use of the word 'mass' vs ' nodule'?
Avatar m tn I've asked this on the autoimmunity board, but I have been unable to get answers. I have popping in almost all the large joints in my body (shoulders, wrists, hips, jaw, neck). This all started three years ago (at 38 years old) with a sudden onset of joint pain. A few months later, my shoulders began to pop. This moved to my wrists and then other joints. My shoulders are the worst. They pop constantly when I stretch my arms out or lift things.

Avatar f tn “Ultimately, it won’t matter what “disorder” Adam Lanza had, since ‘having something’ can’t be shown to be the reason he committed one of the worst crimes in our nation’s history,” writes a Paula Durbin-Westby, a parent who is herself on the spectrum. Emily Willingham, whose 11-year-old son has Asperger’s, emphasizes: Planned, social violence is not a feature of autism.
Avatar n tn Or you can look at DSM IV 299 for criteria for autistic spectrum disorders. I think it would then be useful for you to go through that with an appropriate professional to identify which parts of that criteria your daughter might fit. Take with you a list of behaviours you have noticed with your daugther that you think are autistic and also list your concerns. It is quite possible to have several autistic traits, but not enough of them in each criteria to reach a diagnosis.
