Avatar m tn Hey, I've just been diagnosed with ADHD and I'll be taking Atomoxetine. It's the non - stimulant type, I was thinking the stimulant form of medication would suit me better with such as an Amphetamine based one. I was a user on speed awhile ago and when I was on I felt established, in control, I could concentrate and express my inteligence.
Avatar f tn Hello everyone. I'm new to this website and usually never post anything on the internet bit I have got to a place where I need some advice. I was diagnosed with ADHD 9/9 in March this year by a phsyciatrist at a harley street in London(remotley) I tried stimulants dextroamphetamine and listamphetamin but they didn't agree with me. I was then prescribed atomoxetine. I took these for 4 weeks- start with 10mg then 20mg then 40mg and called my harley phsyciatrist as I was running out.

Avatar m tn Hi guys, I hope someone is able to help me with this… I am currently taking Atomoxetine – a medication used to treat ADHD in adults. I take 40mg once daily in the morning and it really helps me to concentrate better and function the way I need to etc… One of the main issues I have is the effect it has on my penis and testicles.
Avatar n tn Hi. There is no current study that prohibits Atomoxetine (Strattera) users to take creatine supplements. However, caution should be made when taking supplements, since both drugs can alter kidney function and cause urinary symptoms (e.g. stones, dysuria) when not taken properly. I suggest that you ask your doctor first if these are safe for you to use. Thanks for asking.

Avatar n tn I have a 16 year old daughter who is a Junior in high school diagnosed with ADHD (Attention type) in elementary school and OCD and processing issues at the end of Middle School. She has tried every imaginable medication for both and due to adverse side effects ranging from incapacitating fatigue to personality changes she vehemently refuses to take any medication. And to be honest, I don't blame her.
20003388 tn?1515166040 Every time I try a medication that has a reuptake effect on norepeneprhine I get this mild burning sensation on the left side of my chest. So far I have had this happen with Atomoxetine, Venlafaxine, Bupropion and now Nortrypytiline. It isn't anxiety, a panic attack or heartburn, just a dull, moderately uncomfortable, burning sensation. I'm fine with all the SSRI's and medications like Rexulti. It's just the ones that affect NE.
Avatar m tn Throughout my life I have been taking a medication called Atomoxetine for the treatment of ADHD. One of the side effects of this medication was that it would always cause my penis and scrotum to retract as if they were extremely cold all the time throughout the day - causing me to have to take hot or warm baths to temporarily solve this.

Avatar n tn Is it ever prescribed that high? Does it depend on the extent of ADHD a psychiatrist expects? Regardless of the extent of ADHD, what would be considered a high dose for anyone?
1090423 tn?1286287650 This is very high if it is fasting, it is also too high for after meals. Suggest you get checked by your doctor for diabetes.
Avatar f tn High Tsh of 7.18, high ft4 on 1.92 (.82-1.77) and high ft3 (2-4.4) TPO 10 (0-34), TGA 1.3 (0-.9) AGE 20 MALE, low vitd d3 -28.2 and low avit b12 -261, bad diet college student....It doesnt make sense for the ft3 ft3 to be elevated high with a high tsh so i am confused. This is my son and i take thyroid med since menopause yet have never had any antibodies...
Avatar n tn I'm surprised your doctor did not put you on a low dosage of thyroid meds. Your TSH is rising and you are already hypo. Your TSH level should be somewhere between .3 and 3.0 6 weeks is too long to wait to get on meds. By then, you could be in a dangerous situation and might take you months to get leveled out. I would try to find an endocrinologist or another PCP that will put you on meds a/s/a/p.

I am tiried, fatigue easily and don't sleep well at night. My Hg has dropped into the 9.2-9.9 level. I am also on calcium supplements and calcitriol for hypoparathyroidism. My calcium has been stable, low normal, for many years. Now, it is out of control, very high which required hospitalization. My creatine increased to 3.
