I have taken Astelin before being cured of hepatitis C. Astelin doesn't produce serious side effects like you are claiming. Your symptoms maybe connected to hepatitis C but very much doubt it's connect to Astelin and Hepatitis C. Regardless, I can tell you that I experience nothing like what you are suggesting while taking Astelin.

I have several suggestions.
First, add a sinus rinse to your routine. They sound gros, but they are so effective.
Another thought is to cosider trying Patanase instead of the Astelin. Astelin wasn't a problem for me, but it sucesseors Astepro and Astepro 0.15% were horrible. I felt better when I didn't use the med then when I did. I got very congested after using it and it lasted about 5 hour with constant, Astepro drainage.
Lastly, it may be time to consider allergy shots.
My nephew is 4 years old and since like a year ago he is showing like he like to dance like female singers,he likes little Marmaid, Cinderella I just wondering is this is something that I shouldn't pay attention or I should tell my brother , I don't know if this is the influence of my 10 years old daugther and my 4 years old daugther, they are very closed and since my girls like all that singers and watch the movies I mentioned before my lil nephew might think this is a normal thing for
ve also been taking Atenolol and spraying copious amount of Astelin nasal spray up my nose several times in the evening and at night. I have even been letting it run down the back of my throat and swallowing it because it's the only thing that makes me feel at least somewhat relaxed and sleepy.
However, I have begun to wonder if the Astelin and/or Atenolol might be actually aggravating my anxiety symptoms and making me feel worse.
A quick trip to the doctor and I was told that I had some kind of nasty allergic reaction which clogged my sinuses, gave me a post nasal drip which in turn caused the sore throat and asthma to act up. She prescribed Astelin, a nasal spray antihistamine and described the allergic reaction as a sort of systemic thing and that the astelin should clear it all up. That was Wednesday. I've been using it as told since then and I've only really noticed a very very slight improvement.
Singers put great strain on their vocal chords and throat. Do what the Opera singers do, and stop speaking or singing for a couple of days to give the throat time to heal and rest.
(i first came up with this because i also took astelin and that produced similar bronchospasms...now i see that astelin has BAC in common with combivent and albuterol, etc.).
now my internist has order a blood sugar test and an eye test....so i'm really getting worried. thanks for your help.
I would suggest an ENT evaluation. Singers are prone to vocal fold pathologies. She would want to rule out vocal fold nodules or other problems. She would need a doctor referral to a speech pathologist who provides voice therapy, which offers treatment. There are some articles on good vocal hygiene to try in the meantime.
I have been taking Whey protein in the morning for the last 3 months and I noticed lately that my High blood pressure is going down. As a matter of fact I have been able to reduce my Blood pressure meds and maintain normal blood pressure.

I have had post nasal drip as long as I can remember. I am a 52 yr old mail, 5'9", 195lbs. My PND gummed up the back of my throat enough in July of this year to wake me everytime I nod off. I am now on sleep medication, clonazepam, Lunesta, now but which is barely working, Atavan is better and I can sleep but sedatives cannot be taken forever and this PND doesn't seem to be going away.
She said that I have fluid built up behind my ears but no sign of infection. Now, she prescribed steroids (Medrol Dosepack 4 mg) to take for the next 6 days and Astelin nasal spray. She wants to refer me to an ENT if this hasn't helped in 2 weeks. What is going to happen from there? Why am I having these issues? I'm getting really frustrated by this and I'm tired of dealing with it. This has been ongoing for over 4 months now!

We have 2 boys that we named after 2 of our favorite country singers. They both have 2 middle names. Waylon James Dean and Willie Gene Davidson...if we have another boy I am going for either Hank William ? Or George Jones? But secretly hoping for a girl.
Also, if you know anything like good foods for singing, things singers should avoid the day of a show, vitamins or whatever for vocal health. Any tips that you have, please!
I also dance. I like to dance while I sing, but sometimes during rehearsal I have some problems with my breath support. Any suggestions on posture or abdominal positioning?

but I know a lot of the country singers are doing a lit of up lifting songs...might to check some of them...music is my salvation...lol..
t you think if there was any truth to any of these alternative tx methods that ppl would use them? Think about this, singers like Naomi Judd, Stephen Tyler and Natalie Cole have had to go thru tx, don't you think that they would have rather drank some silver water if it worked? I suggest you read about it and if you don't get an answer from anyone on this forum, maybe it's b/c ppl have done research already and know it doesn't work.
