686769 tn?1236272131 Procter & Gamble has a patient assistance program: http://www.pgpharma.com/patient_assistance.shtml if you can prove that you don't have insurance/$$ to cover the cost of medication, they allow you to get 270 days worth of free medication. it helped me out tremendously... i did it before and received asacol, not sure if asacol will even work for you, but i found it to be more effective than pentasa.
Avatar n tn Is there a program where my son can get help with his Rx for asacol? He does not have insurance.
Avatar m tn I have a NEW G.I. doc who keeps referring me to a colonoscopy and an MRCP before she decides to do anything but I've had a flare-up of UC for a month and need some relief. Today I saw a whole Asacol HD tablet excreted and the G.I.doc said "that's ok--it's still absorbed." Ok--so now I must be reasonable and ask a question as how is it absorbed when NONE OF IT--repeat, NONE OF IT---is degraded at all? This woman doesn't get it. Anyway, what should I do now?
Avatar m tn m not sure if he can order his meds from Canada? Also, he should talk to his doctor and see if he can get some samples or get assistance to sign up with the pharmaceutical companies for possible compassionate assistance.

Avatar m tn i was prescribed asacol 2x 400mg, 3 times a day for two weeks. after this time i was also diagnosed with CKD at stage 3a with a GFR of 53 and a creatinine clearance of 87.14ml/min. i took asacol again for one month at a reduced rate of 1x 400mg, 3 times a day (3-4 tablets recommended for prevention of relapse). then i stopped taking it for 2 months. i took asacol again at 1x400mg, 2 times a day for 2 months.

764075 tn?1234495599 Yes, I agree with you on Roche. After begging/borrowing $$$ from family for the first 2 shipments of Pegasys from private pharm & insurance. I applied to Roche assistance program and in 2 weeks my first no cost shipment was on it's way. The only complaint that I have is I have to be home to sign for it.
Avatar f tn you have to be offered COBRA is you were covered while you were an employee. I would ask the HR department one last time and if the answer is still the same IMMEDIATELY contact your local MS chapter and ask for their assistance. They have specialists to help with these types of problems. There is a patient co-pay assistance program with Shared Solutions - be sure to talk to them about getting your drug covered.
Avatar f tn Neva, C. diff testing requires it be done in triplicate. It can be missed in a single sample. You may have to take probiotics for several weeks to note a difference. In addition, some probiotics work better than others for some individuals. You may want to consider trying a different brand if one doesn't seem to help. IBS is a 'generic' catch-all for 'this person has a GI problem, bowel issues, pain, and we don't have any test results that show anything.
Avatar f tn Because she has sleeping issue and is late alot, and because she has ibs and has had to be dosed in the car or go in after an accident, she is being kicked off the program. She is on 120mg and will be detoxed in 30 days. I am not saying that she was not in the wrong about things but this is very sudden. She has no income--I have been trying to pay her insurance and methadone fees myself as she cannot work and has exhausted short term disability benefits.

333672 tn?1273792789 Apparently, Acorda has both a co-pay assistance program and a patient assistance program for the uninsured and underinsured. There are some details at http://brassandivory.blogspot.com/2010/02/annual-price-for-ampyra-set-at-12850.html with more info in the comments. And yes, the base price for a 30-day supply is $1,056. The way the co-pay program works is that if your co-pay is more than $40, Acorda will pay the difference so the patient's max out-of-pocket is $40.

Avatar f tn I personally have no experience with suboxone, but drug manufacters all have some kind of assistance program. You have to meet certain income parameters and all that, but it IS available. Check online or ask your pharmacist if they have an 800 number for the manufacturer. It won't hurt to make a phone call and see if they have an assistance program. Good luck!
4461995 tn?1357955108 And they even have other referral programs to help with the cost if you are on government insurance that keeps you from using their regular assistance program. Make the call and keep asking to speak to someone who can help if you get negative responses from the intial calls.
